Brooklyn June PD
Hey everyone,
I'm on my 91st day for i-765 and still stuck at "Case was received".
My PD is June 21st, applied for AOS frok Brooklyn, no RFE (same sex marriage).
Does anyone know when should I be expecting my EAD? I did one SR 2 weeks ago but got no response.
Thanks!

Work Permit
Pls, I would like someone tell me how I can contact my Congressman, I live in Boston. My PD is 4/26/2017 and I have not gotten my work permit yet. However, my wife added me to her health insurance and promise to bring my SS# soon but until now no SS# due to the delay in response. We got a letter from the insurance company that my name will be removed since I really need to have SS# to be on Medicare. I was given to until Sept. 28th.

Pls. I need all your assistant and experience to deal with this. Thanks

EAD Renewal
Applied to renew an EAD in the A17 category (E-1 visa). The previous EAD expires on 12/29/2017.

Due to recent USCIS changes I was not sure whether I can / should apply 120 or 180 days ahead of expiration. Since USCIS is no longer obliged to process EAD applications in under 90 days I decided to file 180 days ahead.

07/01: mailed application to Dallas lockbox using USPS priority.
07/05: case received.
07/10: check deposited.
09/11: case approved. EAD valid until I-94 status expiration date.

It seems like it is now possible to file 180 ahead of expiration, at least in the Vermont center and for people in this category.

From 0 to card is being produced in 124 days
05/18: MSC received my I-765 (category c09 / marriage to US citizen)
08/08: attorney submitted case inquiry
09/09: received response that case is under review and I should expect a decision shortly
09/18 (day 123): send receipt notices and description of my case together with an offer letter to my congressman, asked for help due to excessive processing time and a pending job offer
09/19 (day 124): status changed to card is being produced

Finally :-)

Approved
Filled on 22nd June
Case received on 25th June.

Got approval mail on 17th Sept. Category was L2 EAD being processed in Vermont service center.

I think sending SSN copy helped in an early approval.

MAY 26 and still waiting
Good day everyone!

This process is killing me.

I almost hit my 4th month and no response yet.

My timeline:

PD: May 26

RFIE: Jun 15 (I485)

BIO: Jun 20

RFIE recieved by USCIS: Jun 27 (I485)

1st SR: Day 93 - Aug 23 (expect a response by Sept 6; No response, they didn't even assigned it to an officer for processing)

Contacted Congressman: Aug 23 (also raised a Inquiry on my behalf, but honestly not helpfull at all)

2nd SR: Sept 6 (expect a response by Sept 19; No response, they didnt assign it to an officer either.)

3rd SR: Sept 19 ( expect a response by Oct 1st; 20 mins later my 3rd SR was assigned to an officer)

I've also called several times, and all I get is the same response ""WAIT""
I've seen I lot of people with PDs from late may / benning of june getting their EAD in hand alread.
I'm getting frustated and losing hope.

Anyone on the same boat/ similar PD?

Any Advise greatly appreciated!

Don't stop calling!
Hi everyone,

I have been watching the thread like crazy for the past few weeks.
My husband and I filed AOS packet: 485, I-130, AP, EAD etc. Everything
Filed August 17th 2017
I raised my first expedite request for EAD 765 based on (C9) category on August 25th 2017
August 28th 2017 Expedite Request response: We need additional information like an offer letter
August 30th 2017 I faxed in the official offer letter and my employer did the same.
I called in DAILY, I do mean EVERY single day, I kept being transferred to L2 customer service officers, and other people and no one would tell me if they had actually received my faxes.
September 11th 2017, I raised a 2nd request to expedite (this request was to follow up on my first request and to receive a response), at this point they were giving me mixed information.

September 13th 2017 I received an email response from my 2nd expedite request: we need a letter form your employer that they intend to terminate your employment.

I previously had DACA, and my EAD that went with it expired August 25th, and my employer terminated my job that day, however, they intend/intended to give me my job back the moment a new EAD was approved.

So at this point, there is no hope on what is going on at USCIS MSC.

I contacted one of my senators, I wrote him a letter detailing all the issues I was having getting factual updates and answers. I was told it could take 30 days but I called in the next morning and asked if I could speak to someone about getting emergency assistance. The office immigration liaison got to work immediately.

September 8th, I received a letter from the senators office that they had put in an inquiry on my behalf:
Documents submitted to his office. Letter detailing my issues, who I am, why I need this case expedited etc. and the letters written by USCIS as well as the email responses from the other expedite requests.

I waited, I called NSC, everyday.

On September 11th, the above happened.

Finally on September 15th, I called the sentors office and told them I was having no luck and none of these requests were answered. The laison finally budged and CALLED not just submitted an email request like he did the first time but called, and then he called me back a few minutes later and said the expedite request was approved.

I could not get anything in writing then, but I called the next few days and asked if there was anyway he could it officially in writing.. didn't hear back.

Finally I woke up this morning, I had already written an email to USCIS headquarters, and called USCIS to request assistance with my pending DACA case (105 days pending), then I called the senators office, and they told me they were drafting an email to me and I should get it shortly.

30 minutes later, I got an email from the senators office " your case has been approved for expedited processing" blah blah blah.

I refreshed the USCIS website, and finally after 5:30PM my case said approved and card will be mailed to the address on file.

So basically, DO NOT STOP CALLING everyone, don't stop calling USCIS, don't stop calling your Senator or Congressman, FOLLOW UP, they are here to help you.

EAD approved in 30 days from filing date.
I had $2 left in my bank account.
My husband is happy, and my job is eager for my return!

Stay persistent, and keep fighting! They are backlogged but if you don't give up they will help you.

Don't listen to the call back in 5 days, or we'll get back to you in 30 days.
CALL them via the phone or go in person if possible!!!
