Hi

After going through all the messges here, I thought I should post my issue here too...

I got married to US Citizen in March 2017 and applied for work permit and 485 and other stuff in May... I live in California and My application number starts with MSC....

May 30th ..... USCIS received my application for employment
June 16th .... RFE I 130 A application
June 30th... Biometrics done
July 7th .... USCIS received my RFE application...
August 16th... We changed our address online... I received a letter that the address has been updated....
Aug 22nd.... I filled an online form for status review... Expect a reply by Sept 13th it said... I didnt get any response from them yet, though....

I've been checking the status ever since... It didn't change at all...

What should I do??

thanks for any kind of help...

F1 OPT EAD
Timeline-

13 June 2017 F1 OPT EAD I765 Application Received by USCIS

Day 5
Case is being Reviewed and Receipt notice sent. I received Text message.
Never Received physical Receipt Notice I797.

Day 78
SR#1 Raised - "Approaching Committed Processing Time" - Told to expect response in 30 days

Day 85
SR#2 Raised - "Expedite Request"

Day 88
Expedite Request Denied

Day 93
SR#3 Raised - "Exceeded Committed Processing Time" - Told that normal processing times have been changed from 90 days to 180 days (6 months!!!!)

By now, I was out of my mind. There was simply no way I can wait that long.

Day 95
Visited local congressman office and explained my case. He said he'll call USCIS.

Day 96
Status Changed to "New Card is being Produced"

So in the end, if you are over 90 days, just seek congressman's help.

I went from being told to wait potentially for 6 months to card produced in 1 day!

Thanks!

164 days and counting
I think I have aged about 10 years because of this hell of a process.

Based of marriage GC and EAD.

- Submitted everything on April 7th.

- had 2 RFE because I'm adopted and they requested a birth certificate I don't have

- September 15th I finally got an update in my app saying that my card is being produced and will be emailed. My immigration attorney says I can expect my card in hand within 30 days. I got a job offer pending and can not wait 30 days.

- Would contacting a congressman help at this point?

Thankful for advice.

Contacting congressman before day 90
Hi all,

I have been reading your experiences and I came to the conclusion that asking the congressman for help can be extremely helpful.
My PD is June 27th, therefore I have just passed the 75th day.
Did any of you talk to the congressman before the 90th day? Is it too early to try now?

Thank you!!

EAD extension for E3 D
Hi All,

I am currently working and my current EAD is expiring on this Monday,my company gave me 4 weeks unpaid leave. If I don't get my EAD extension by that time I may loose my job. It's only 60 days for me to approach my local congressman and I saw Vermont service center is running very late. I am not sure what I should do. I already put service request to expedite and they denied the request. Will this effect the process. Anyone here got the EAD in 90 days from Vermont center. Please advice me.

My receipt date is July 17th.
USCIS said I don't have to give biometrics.

Thanks
Shill

EAD renewal based on Asylum (c)(8)
EAD renewal based on Asylum (c)(8) with Nebraska Office

Case received : April 11, 2017
Submitted Online Inquiry: Aug 23, 2017 (135 days)
Called USCIS a week after to ask if I can expedite the process; I've been told that since I submitted the online Inquiry I have to wait for 30 days for the request to be processed and can not do a request to expedite the process.
158 days have passed since the case was received;
24 days have passed since I submitted the inquiry
Will wait for another week and then send a letter to the Congressman

EAD renewal based on H4
Hi,

I need your thoughts on my case. My case is pending with Vermont Service center.

June 23rd- case was received.

July - opened 2 expedite requests as I am losing my job but both got denied.

September 8th - Opened a SR as its more than 75 days.

September 8th - My congressman kept an enquiry on my case but that didn't help and they replied saying that the processing time is still in April 2017 as per the website processing times.

September 13th - called USCIS, luckily a guy informed me that an officer has been assigned for my case on September 13th and would hear from him. but there is no response after that.

Just want to know on average how many days does an officer take to have an action on my case?

Appreciate your thoughts and inputs on this.

Thanks,
Navvi
