EAD - expedited
Does anyone know whats the usual processing time after a case is approved for expedited processing? Could you share any experience you have with this situation?

Additional information for background check
Hi,
My PD for the EAD card was april 18 and it has been already 133 days since. Raised several SR and all with very standard answers. Nebraska Service Center.
Placed also an expedite request but is said that since my case is already assigned to an officer for adjudication, this has no value.
I recently contacted my representative congressman to know what is going on and he told me that USCIS is requesting additional information for background check.
Does anybody knows anything about this or how long can this take?

NSC Processing Time as of today
Called USCIS and was informed that EAD processing time is now typically 4-5 months and that they are still preocessing cases from April 1st; hence my case is still within "normal processing time"

PD May18, raised SR on Aug 1st and Aug 24th. Have not received any reply or update. Day 103 and counting. Wife's card has already arrived in late July, not sure why the primary card is taking so much longer. Good luck everyone.

EAD expedite
Created a SR about 2 weeks ago; on the 18th, got an email asking me to fax supporting documents, did so the same day.

On august 18th there were three updates on my case history:
Case assigned to an officer for response
We sent a response to your request
Your request was completed

Silence for 11 days. This morning, on the 29th, an update in case history:

On August 29, 2017, your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxxxx, was assigned to an officer for response.

A little confused since I already had that on the 18th... and 2/3 previous updates disappeared. I'm assuming someone is finally working on my SR? Does anyone have any input?

EAD based on pending asylum ( (c)(8) category )
Hi,

I have been following this thread for a while. In fact, I did get many benefits from everyone's experience. So I decided to share mine.

May 17........ EAD Application filed. Case was received in Texas Service Center.

August 10...... Generated first SR at day 85

August 12....... Got this email " The status of this service request is:
"We have received your service request and researched the status of your case. Your case is currently in line for processing and adjudication. Cases are processed in the order in which they were received. Please note that for Form I-765 category (c)(8), based on a pending asylum application, the processing time frames listed only apply to an initial filing. If you do not receive a decision or notice of further action within 30 days, please contact customer service.
What You Can Do
Please see the "Online Services" below to check the status of your case in the future.
We hope this information is helpful to you.

August 14......... Called USCIS Customer Service to inquire about the delay as its been 89 days since I applied and that I should get my EAD after 30 days only. I was advised to call the following day as it will be 90 days post application and then they can give me an answer.

August 15.......... Called them again. Nobody could give an answer. When I suggested to create another SR, I was told to wait for another 30 days to be able to create another SR.

August 28......... Visited the office of the Congressman and filed a request to expedite the process, especially that I have a job offer already since June. They did file the request for me immediately. And we are waiting for USCIS to respond.

August 29........ Booked infopass appointment with the local USCIS office. Will see what they can do about the delay.

Will be updating this post as soon as I get something.

Good luck to all my fellow asylum seekers :)

Still Pending
I and wife filed I 485 I 765 and I 131 together base on her approved I 140.

Application received on May 12th.

Wife I-765 and I-131 got approved on Aug 24th

But my i 765 and I 131 are still pending

Had a SR open on Aug 14 for my cases and got a mail today says" had to perform additional review and should receive a decision or notice of further action within 60 days"

Is this normal?

What will happen after the 60 days? Will USCIS give us a decision?

I was so excited today as my status hasn't changed since May 10th. But today it read card being produced and I'm so excited can't wait to receive it. Although I wonder how long it's gonna take to actually get it?
