L2 EAD (First Time) - Nebraska Service Center
I wanted to share our experience with L2 EAD application and processing.
1) Submitted required documents via email to Phoenix USCIS on April 18th. Already had SSN due to previous H1B work status.
2) Documents were mailed to Nebraska Service Center on April 19th. Receipt number generated and visible on USCIS website.
3) Status changed on USCIS website that on June 7th the Post Office returned a document to the USCIS because it could not be delivered to us (applicant).
4) Raised an SR and got a reply on June 23rd that USCIS could not determine what documents were returned back to them by the PO but that they have everything they need to process our case and it is inline to be reviewed by an officer.
5) July 19th - crossed the 3-month time frame.
6) July 20th - raised an SR with USCIS asking when it would be done.
7) July 21st - received response saying case is inline to be reviewed by officer and allow 60 days for a response.
8) Called USCIS on July 27th just to inquire and was told the same as statement above (#7).
9) On July 28th (Day 99) - Status changed on USCIS Website - New Card is being produced and Case was Approved.
10) On Aug 1st - Card was mailed.
11) On Aug 4th - Card was delivered.
Did not contact Ombudsman or Congressman, did not create an infopass appointment.

The person told me to wait 5 days for their response to my expedite request, but I got no responses at all after 10 days so I called them again. They said because F1 students have submitted some kinds to documents before to show financial stability, so they denied my expedite request for using "severe financial loss" even though I may lose my internship if I dont have the EAD approved before the start date. I am currently out of the country and I need the EAD/Form I797 to re-enter US on August 22, 2016, so I really need to expedite my case. What are some other reasons that I could use for my case? Thanks!

Additional FREand case transfered to another office
On 28 July, 2016 After 75 days, my EAD case status was changed to Request for Aditional evidance, I didn't receive any letter for RFE. On 31 May 2016 my case was tranfered to Nebraska. But yesterday 02 Aug, 2016 my case is again transfered to another office that has jurisdiction. I dont know whats going on with my case. The other office still need RFE.

Call before noon to speak to officer
I called USCIS customer service to try to get the tracking number for my card that's been in the mail, but I needed to speak to an officer about it, but the transfer system was shut down. The rep told me that the officers have been shutting down the transfer system a lot lately and advised me to call before noon tomorrow, as that is usually the best time to get a hold of the officers. Just thought I'd post it here just in case you would like to request to speak to an officer.

July 20 2016 (day 85)contacted the congressman office asking for their help for approaching the regulatory timeframe.
July 25 2016 (day 90) congressman office informed me that my case in line and cases reviewed on order they are received.
July 26 2016 (day 91) filed an expedited service due to financial lose for individuals through congressman office.
August 1 2016 (day 97) card was order.
August 1 2016 (day 97) case approved and notice will be mailed.
I believe that the help form congressman office had biggest impact in accelerating my case approval.

Delay in EAD production
Hi all,
I wander if anybody experienced anything like this; and I want to know what to do.
on April 6, I applied for an EAD based on a pending asylum application. 30 days later my case status still said "we received your application..." I raised a SR and they told me to wait 60 days.
Reading this forum, I found that I could send another SR after 75 days, which I did. After that SR, they told me to wait 60 more days. On day 92 I had an appointment at the local USCIS due to financial over-burden. The next day; July 15th, I got approved and my case status changed to "case approved" I received my approval notice in the mail stating that my EAD is valid from July 15th, but I haven't received my card in the mail (2 weeks now from approval date) , and my case status is still stuck on "Case approved" When I called to inquire; I came across a fairly rude lady who told me to wait 60 more days to receive my card. I justly claimed and proved financial burden to have my case approved, what else can I do to have my card produced and not wait 60 more days?? does that also mean that I will waste 60 of my EAD because of a delay that's not of my doing? please help me ; what can I do.

my lawyer applied my H4 ead on 24 may 2016 .
received application at Vermont center on 25 may 2016
Till that date my application statues didn't changed it just shoeing case was received on 25 may 2016 . I am so worried as I am having job offer but employer did not wanna wait till 3 August . iam so anxious about that . did anybody having same situation plz sugguest me when I shud contact customer service center .

L2 EAD Nebraska service center
I have received my EAD after 106 days. My old EAD expired on May 26th and I was waiting for the new EAD from then. I was on unpaid leave for 2 months. Finally I got my EAD today.
Uscis received my application on April 11th
Raised expedite request twice(stating about my financial loss) : uscis rejected
Raised 'approaching regulatory timeline request' after 75 days: Uscis responded to that after 15 days saying that I need to wait for 60 days
After 90 days I contacted ombudsman and congressman : my EAD was approved in the same week. Thanks to them!
Even after approving Uscis took 10 days to produce the card.
Finally I received my card today July 27th. I am restarting my work tomorrow.
