EAD Case Status suggesstion
My EAD receipt date is April 18th. No update on that yet.. Status is still 'Case is Received'.
I created account and found that the case history shows empty.

Today is 67th day. I have a job offer as well.

Should I wait till 75 days to complete or can I raise an Service Request/ contact Congressman now?

EAD case tracking
I just have one question in mind. Though of sharing it here.

From past 2-3 weeks I have been following several forums and websites, also tracking cases which nearby my case # and nearby my receipt date. My receipt date is 21st April. This is what I have observed.

90% of the cases with receipt date till 18th April were approved by 9th June, and they got their cards as well. Its been two weeks now, all the cases from 19th April onwards are in 'Case Received' status. As if they have put EAD processing on hold altogether.

Is this normal? Or is it because they are busy doing something else, eg. H1B, PERM, GC? Any idea guys?

L2 Ead
Hi All

My L2 ead is pending from 16th February. After raising 3 SRs the status changed from 'In line to be reviewed' to 'Currently being reviewed by an officer'. However the last status that it is currently being reviewed by an officer was on 9th June and I was hopeful that I would get my EAD soon. However its more than 20 days now and nothing has changed. Does it take this long to be reviewed by an officer? And yes, this is for the dreaded site NEBRASKA!! In all I have waited for more than 120 days, contacted Congressman but nothing happened.

I have not received a receipt notice #51th day
Hello All,

Could you please give me some advice what I can do in this situation.

I have L2 visa and I have applied for work permit (I-765) by mail. Based on the FedEx tracking the documentations were received on May 2 to the Texas USCIS office and the check was cashed on the next day, May 3.

But I have not received a receipt notice within 30days, so I phoned them. The officer could not find my name in the system, but he said it's okay, sometimes it happened. So he recommended to write an email to the USCIS Lockbox Support.
I got an automatic replay that I have to expect an answer within 15days.
Some days before I have written another email to them, in the answer the expected day is increased to 20days. Today is the 15.day and nothing.
This is my 51th day.
I tried to write them an request through the website, but in all cases I have to add the receipt number.
As we know because of the check was chased the process is started. I try to be patient. Is there anyone who had similar situation before?

Timeline
Hello everybody,

I promised myself that I’d share my timeline as soon as I get my EAD. The application was filed based on pending political asylum.

February 18, 2016 ---- Received date, the case was received by Vermont Service Center

February 22, 2016 ---- Notice Date

March 11, 2016 ------- The case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center by USCIS

April 23, 2016 ---------- Inquired update on my case online (At that time, I didn’t know that it takes 3 weeks only if it’s the first time EAD)

May 6, 2016 (day 75) – Called USCIS to create a service request

May 11, 2016 ----------- Old EAD expired and I lost my job

May 21, 2016 (day 90) – Called USCIS to say that It’d been 90 days; I didn’t get any useful information.

June 6, 2016 (day 106) – Called USCIS to explain my current situation, that I can’t support myself. To be honest, when I called I prepared a speech about monthly rent, lost health insurance, a huge bill that I need to pay (which is not USCIS’s fault) and didn’t think it would actually help. However, customer service representative almost immediately offered to create an expedited request and listed all possible categories. I selected the one which is due to severe financial loss. I was told that it may take up to 5 calendar days for an officer to respond. The gentleman also told me the person I talked to on May 6th was supposed to do that and he apologized.

June 7, 2016 (day 107) – The request to have my case expedited was assigned to an officer

June 9, 2016 (day 109) – The request was completed and the status online was changed to “new card is being produced”

June 14, 2016 (day 114) – “We mailed your new card to the address you gave us”

June 16, 2016 (day 116) – Called USCIS to get a tracking number

June 17, 2016 (day 117) – The card was finally delivered

To sum up, it took 109 days for them to approve my card and additional 8 days to deliver it. It might be just a matter of luck but I’d recommend you, guys, call them and come up with a good reason to expedite your case. Creating an account on USCIS website is also helpful since it gives more information, such as all requests that you’ve made so far.

Ead renewal recieved
okay so here's my timeline y'all

      02/10/2016-- Ead receipt date
06/09/2016-- Card being produced( after exactly 4 months)
06/14/2016-- Card was mailed to me
       06/17/2016-- Received my Ead
-- so I waited 128 days to receive my Ead card. It is a very frustrating wait and there isn't really nothing we could do about it. I did 2 service requests, contacted the ombudsman, and my local congressman but I'm pretty sure these didn't help. also, they tell us its a first in first out process but thats BS cause I I read other people's posts on here that sent theirs in way after mine but got it before me and its to the same service center( Nebraska ). Idk if it depends on what category its under or something but good luck to everyone!

Received my EAD card on day 85 (Vermont Center)
Hi,

I applied as an L2 for an EAD on March at Vermont. Yesterday (day 85) , I received my EAD card at home. Please see below my experience:

- Sent all papers to VCS on 16 Mar

-Received I-797 on 23 Mar saying that my case was received on 22 Mar

-Status in webpage remained as "Case received" for 76 days

In the USCIS webpage says that if you do not get approved by day 75 you cal call asking for a Service Request "Approaching to regulatory timeframe". On the other hand, I had received an offer letter a few days before.

- 6 June (day 76) called the USCIS and asked for an SR "approaching to regulatory timeframe". A number was given and they said I should wait 30 days for a reply

- 6 June, contacted local Congressman's office explaining that my reg timeframe was being approached and that I had an offer letter so I would like to expedite my case. The same day I sent my email to the Congressman´s office a Privacy Authorization they sent to me an email explaining my situation and my offer letter.

- 7 June I received a call from the Congressman´s office explaining that they had contacted the USCIS and that my case did not apply for expedite request, but that they would follow my case closely. I had to wait for 15 days to get a reply

-9 June status changed to "New Card Produced"

-10 June status changed to "Case Approved"

-13 June status changed to "New card was mailed to your address"

-15 June I called the USCIS to get a tracking #. 2 hours later the Card was in my mailbox (day 85)

I am not sure, but I am guessing that the Congressman´s office had something to do. Maybe you should try that.

I hope this helps!
