EAD
Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has ever experience what I've been going through. I filed for I485 concurrent with my I765 since July of 2014. My application was received on July 10 2014. On 08-09-2014 I received a letter for biometrics which was scheduled for 08-27-2014. Due to detention I was unable organize with my detention officers to make it to the appointment on 08-27. I finally got it done in September, released from detention in November and as of today I haven't heard anything. Every time I call no one can give me an answer and I keep having to submit inquiry. After a while because there was so many calls, I cannot submit another inquiry and the agent said my case had to be expedited. Info pass do not have any info for me and the only thing the online website is telling me is that my application was received on July 10. Anyone else experienced this or know what I should do? Not even the people that supposed to be able to help me can help me. This is frustrating.

EAD / I765 Delay
i applied for a renewal 10.14.2014
Biometrics 11.07.2014
On 12.30.2014 i called to inquire about the status and the Agent submitted a service inquiry. i told them that if i didnt have the approval by 01.09.2015 i would be terminated.i was asked to call back after 01.14.2015 if i hadnt heard back.
i kept calling periodically but was just told to wait.
on 01.07.2015, i called again and the Agent suggested submitting a request to expedite my EAD. She said i wold hear back within 5 days. on 01.08.2015 got an email asking me for a letter from my employer showing that i would be terminated if i didnt have the EAD. I immediately faxed the requested documents back.
i still havent heard back. Needless to say, i lost my job already/everytime i call i am told to continue waiting
On 01.15.2015 an Agent submitted a request for an Interim EAD.
I have contacted the congressmans office for assistance on 01.18.2015 but still no response.
I had an infopass appointment yesterday and was told that Interim EADS do not exist. The Agent i talked to said they would reach out to the officer who was taking care of my case to see what the problem is and hopefully i can get an answer.
My status is still the same. I am so frustrated.

Expedite EAD Request
Hello All,

I am a new member here and have been reading a lot about all of your experience in getting the Green Card and EAD processes going. I have requested an expedite EAD on January 9 and the lady on the phone said that someone would get in touch with me within 5 days to let me know if the expedite request would be entertained or not. On January 16 (last Friday), I did not receive any calls or emails from them for requesting more information, so I called again and they said it is under normal processing.

We filed I-130, I-485 and I-765 altogether back in November.

Nov 24: USCIS received whole package
Dec 23: Biometrics Completed
Dec 26: Got a RFI (Request For Initial Evidence) for the I-864
Dec 30: Sent back the I-864 with all the supporting documents
Jan 07: Status on website for I-485 changed to they received the request to Request for Evidence; I-130 and I-765 remains the same as they just received my application
Jan 09: Called USCIS for an expedite EAD due to severe hardship
Jan 16: Called USCIS again but they said it is under normal processing

I am very confused if I should seek out to the Congressman for this situation. I went unemployed after my F-1 Status was over back on December 10 as my I-20 CPT was over at that time. My employer would keep the job open for me until I have got my work authorization. We have been burning up the savings real fast because only one of us is making money and I cannot do anything. I also found out that if the USCIS has sent out a Request for Initial Evidence, they will reset the clock. But I don't know if they will reset the clock because I fall into the category of :-

The clock will also stop if USCIS issues a request for initial evidence pertaining to the principal application/petition that serves as the basis for your application for employment authorization.
For example, if your eligibility for employment authorization is based on a pending Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, and USCIS issues a request for initial evidence pertaining to your Form I-485, the clock for your Form I-765 will stop when USCIS issues the request for evidence and restart when USCIS receives the requested information.

If I do, does that mean the clock resumes from the day they get it?

Any help from you all is greatly appreciated !!

EAD pending
Hello,

I applied for my renewal of EAD and got a receipt on Oct 15th, 2014 that its in process. Today completes the 90 days and my card expires today. I called USCIS and they put in a "request" so they can call me when they have an update.

Does anyone know if they actually call? I was employed but now on a leave. This is very stressful. Does anyone know or have had experience where is took over 90 days...and after how many days did the EAD card arrive or even got approved?

Any insight would be helpful!

Haven't received EAD after approval notice for nearly a month
Hi,

I received the approval of notice on Dec. 16th, but I have not received my physical card yet. It has been under card production for almost a month, which is so weird... They asked me to wait, but I am a little anxious. Does anyone know anything about this situation? What could be the possible reasons? Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

Has your I-765 EAD taken more than 90 days
The CIS Ombudsman has been receiving numerous inquiries from customers about EAD applications pending more than 90 days. Do you have this concern? Then, see the Ombudsman's suggestions below:

Step 1: Call USCIS National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-(800) 375-5283 and record the time/date of the call and the name/number of the customer service representative:

Explain to the customer service representative that your EAD has been pending more than 90 days and ask for a service request. You should receive a response to your service request within a week.
-OR-
Ask the customer service representative to request an interim card for you. You should receive an EAD or response within a week.
Step 2: If you choose to visit a local USCIS office, schedule an INFOPASS appointment to visit that office on www.infopass.uscis.gov. At the appointment, ask to apply for an interim EAD. Note that USCIS local offices no longer issue interim EADs. The local office can review your case and determine eligibility. The local office will forward your request to the USCIS service centers. You should receive an EAD or response within a week.

Step 3: If you have tried both Step 1 and Step 2 and have still not received your EAD or an interim card, please send your email to [email protected] with the details of your efforts. Please include the date and time of your call to the NCSC and the name of the customer service representative. If you visited a USCIS office, please provide that information. The Ombudsman promises to "look into your case and review how we may be of assistance.
