San Francisco field office closed due to Air Quality
I was supposed to have my final green card interview this morning (11/16) at the San Francisco field office, but I received a call at 4:30pm yesterday from the officer stating that the office was closed. Unfortunately, I missed the call and the officer left me a message that the interview will be rescheduled asap. Is anyone in the same boat? It took 3 months to schedule an interview once my file was in the SF office. I have critical travel coming up in January and I was hoping to have the GC before then. My EAD expires in 12/7 and I haven't renewed that. I'm pretty frustrated at the moment.

EB-3 China Mainland
PD 09/30/2013 (ported from a previously approved I-140)
I-140 / I-485 parallel applications submitted in late June 2018
Received AOS interview notice in late September
Interview was held today (11/15/18)
My wife was the primary, and our whole family went to the interview.
The officer was a very nice young lady. She was super friendly, gave crayons and paper for our kids to color, and asked them to help her color countries from which the applicants she previously interviewed came from on a world map. Lots of chats and laughter, a very positive experience with USCIS.

Here's the process:
- Went through security
- Went to interview waiting area and dropped off the appointment notices
- Called by the interview officer, followed her to the office
- Brief chat
- Asked for ID, took photos and fingerprints
- Went through my wife's I-485 form questions
- Went through my I-485 form questions
- Asked simple questions like how we met, etc.
- Asked my sons one question "did you ever get arrested?" and they said "no"
Then the officer smiled and said "I am going to approve your applications and you should receive your green cards in about 7 days".

We took a full bag of documents with us just in case the interview officer asked for anything, but the officer did not ask for any additional documents, not even our birth certificate or my wife's employment verification letter (copies of all papers had been submitted with our applications).

It's a happy day for us today, and I wish the best for everyone that's still going through the process.

Finally after a long struggle, hours fighting with USCIS got green card approval.
Ppl who got interviewed in Nov/2018 received card in a wk and ppl interviewed in apr/2018 still waiting.

PD:2014
I 140 approval:8/2017
I 485: 10/2017
Interview done 4/2018
Service center: Texas

Ppl who is still waiting for green even after interview due to retrogression, call uscis, talk to tier 2 officers and open service request. No lawyer will help. We have to fight. As per our lawyer next year retrogression will be in Feb/march.
Wish you all the best

EB2 ROW
It is the time for me to share my experience here:

EB2 ROW - Portland OR

PERM Submitted: 10/23/17
Perm Approval: 4/4/18
I-140/I-485/I-131/I-765 Submitted: 5/29/18
I-I40 Approved: 6/11/18
EAD/AP Card Approved: 7/13/18
Finger Print: 7/24/18
Transfer to NBC: 8/3/18
Ready to be Scheduled: 9/27/28
Interview Scheduled: 10/4/18
Interview Date: 11/14/18

Approved on spot, interview took 20 minutes and started with oath, checking ID, checking passports, taking picture and finger print. Then IO basically opened my I-485 form in front of her and started going through it line by line. At the end she asked if I want to submit any documents and I gave her EVL and tax transcripts. After that she said I am going to approve your case and you will get you card in maximum 30 days. I received "card in production" update a few hours later.

Thanks everyone and good luck!
