EB2 - All other nationalities
October 2015: Started
December 2015: Filed PERM
January 2017: Approved PERM
June 2017: Filed I-140 and I-485 Concurrently
August 2017: Biometrics taken
January 2018: EAD received (no AD as I traveled when it was filed, so it was denied)
January 2018: RFE on I-140 (peak of frustration)
May 2018: I-140 approved
July 2018: AOS Interview scheduled
August 20, 2018: Interview took place, informed on the retrogression (huge peak of frustration)
Today: still waiting like an imbecile but getting a little more hope due to others getting the GC in these days with compatible timeline to mine.

Summary: most illogical, cumbersome, complex, articulated, infinitive bull **** I have ever been through in my entire life. I mean, seriously, they play with our life, dreams, plans. Very bummed up.

EB1 Portland, OR interview experience
Had my interview today. After the security check, we were asked to wait in the 2nd floor. After 25 mins of wait, we were called inside.

The officer said the good news is visa is available and she can approve it if everything looks good. We were sworn oath and asked the following questions

- Confirm name, DOB, address, parent's name, etc.
- Lots of questions on our marriage
   - How did we meet?
   - Who proposed?
   - How many people attended?
   - Where our marriages happened.
- Yes/no questions
   - I had a ticket from a year-long traffic accident. Showed that the ticket was paid and case was closed.
   - My wife recently got a Trimet citation for expired ticket. We showed it was paid.
   - Other questions on visa denial, deportation, lying to a government officer, government assistance, any crime, etc.
- I told if she need my EVL, I485-J and paystubs, she said yes.

She told her system is down currently so she can put it on the system. She will do it later this week and we should have our GC by early December. She even told my wife that she can inform her employer that she is a permanent resident now.

I am not sure she was simply not aware of retrogression or visas have become available for EB1 ROW category. I'll be very surprised if I get the physical card this year.

Hope this helps. Thank you so much to this form and good luck to everyone else.

Case under review after interview
I had interview at Newark field office.
IO asked basic interview question and gave a paper at the end which said that case is under review. I asked IO how long it will take and he needs to review my case and let us know if he needs anything else or update the case.
Anybody in same situation ?
How long this review process usually takes?
On form it says 120days which is 4 months.

Here's my time line

2014 Jan: PD
2018 April: Filed I-485 when PD became current
2018 May: Bio-metrics done
2018 September: Received EAD combo cards
2018 October: Interview scheduled to November
2018 November: Interviewed today, verbally approved on the spot, principle applicant's case status updated to "card in production" same day, dependent's status still says "Interview scheduled"

Anxiously waiting for GC to show up.
If it says "card in production" it means it is approved right?

EB2 ROW
Good news, I've finally received my green card this afternoon. So USCIS is making progress in terms of retrogression backlog.

Basic timeline:
05/07/2018 Receipt of I-485
08/28 Interview (no approval due to retrogression)
11/06 I-485 approved
11/09 card is mailed
11/13 card in hand

I'm super happy of course. Please go to my previous post if you're interested in more details about timeline and interview experience.

Good luck to everyone - I wish you all the best.
