EB1B India
November 18, 2017 - I 140 submitted
November 30th - I 140 RFE (dont remember when my attorneys responded)
December 27th - I 140 approved

March 26th - I 485 submitted
Sept 28th - Notice for interview sent
October 2nd - Received interview notice
November 5th - Interview (approved on spot)

Interview: Arrived about 30 mins early. IO was nice and polite. Asked what I did for during my Ph.D.
Wife and I were asked how we met.
Went over Yes/No questions in I-485. Told him I had a parking ticket. He said it was fine; the wording in I 485 should have said it was fine (but it doesn't)
Wanted to see our marriage certificate.
Only document he kept was an updated EVL. After the interview he said it was approved, and we would get the card in 10 days. Interview took about 45 minutes. I am not sure why folks say theirs took only 20 minutes. I can't see how it can take shorter than that. In my case, maybe some small talk filled the time. We talked about Indian languages and few other things .

November 9th : Got I 485, I 485 J approvals and card in hand.

Interview dress code
Hi all

I am having my interview this week and wondering if USCIS prefer certain kind of dress code, trying to figure out what is the most appropriate outfit to wear to my EB2 interview.

Thanks!

Porting EB2 priority date to EB1-B ROW
Country of origin - Philippines
PD EB2 - July 2014 (I-140 approved in Sept 2015)
PD EB1-B - Aug 2017
I-140 approved - Dec 2017
EAD/AP - Mar 2018
Case transferred to NBC - May 2018
No interview call yet.

One of my friends recently got her I140 approved in EB1-B and her approval notice has her EB2 priority date mentioned. In my case I have my EB2 & EB1-B filed by same employer but my I140 (of EB1-B) shows PD of my Aug 2017. My employer tells me it is sole discretion of USCIS if they want to port old PD and they (my employer) can't do anything now.
Does anyone in same situation? Please share your experience.

If I will be able to port my EB2 PD, I will eligible to get interview call as my PD will become current (Oct visa bulletin - Final Action Date for Philippines 01APR17)

Wrong birth country on Green Card
So I got my green card after the retrogression delays (FINALLY!), and the birth country is wrong (FML!). Has anyone else had this same issue? If so, how did you handle it, how long did it take?

EB 3 Green Card Interview
Though I've been reading posts here, this is going to be my very first post here to help people who are in the same boat as I was.

I had my EB3 AOS interview a couple days ago (Nov 7). I was in the same boat before the interview. Even though I prepare and have all the info and documents (Employment verification letter, pay stab, birth cert, medical report because mine was submitted more than one year ago, all the approval notice letter from USCIS, tax return which is not mentioned in the interview notice, etc.), I always feel I did not prepare enough. I was so worried that something could go wrong. I will tell you my experience.

I arrived 1 hour earlier than the appointment time. I waited in the waiting room for 1 hour and 35 minutes and finally my name is called. She walked you to the interview room. Here is everything I could remember.

- Ask ID.
- Take my finger prints.
- Take an oath.
- Any letter to prove that I am working for the company. I handed a couple pay statements. I also handed employment verification letter.
- Tax Return and W2 form - although tax return is not mentioned in the interview notice. I forgot my W2 form. I only brought tax returns from the past two years.
- She checked tax returns throughly and asked me questions about things which are not usual such as trading/investments transactions and other passive incomes.
- Ask my work and supervisor name. I could not spell my supervisor name so I look up his name on the phone.
- Asked me Yes/No questions (such as drugs, crimes, any visa rejection, government support like food stamp, etc.)
- Asked me for the medical report.

She did not even ask my supplement J, Birth Cert, etc. She said she got what she needed.

Then she said I approved your case and issued me a letter for approval recommendation. It was such a relief. Next day, I checked the status in USCIS and the case has been approved. I did not expect I got approved on the spot.

I hope that helps and I wish you all good luck!

Interview Date: 07 Nov, 2018
I-485 Approval Date: 08 Nov, 2018

EB-2 ROW Sep Retrogression
First time poster here but wanted to help keep hopes alive as my case was finally approved yesterday. Below are details:

EB-2 ROW
PD - Nov 2017
PERM Approval - Apr 2018
I-485/I-140 (Concurrent) RD - May 2018
Transfer to NBC - June 2018
Biometrics Appt - June 2018
EAD Approval - July 2018
Interview Date - Sep 10, 2018 (Chicago FO)
I-485 Approval Date - Nov 7, 2018 (New card is being produced)

Like many, I was frustrated coz of retrogression. IO said case would transfer to NBC/TSC but never got notice or case update. Also, didnt connect with L2 officer to help raise SR and didn't schedule infopass so not sure how helpful those would have been. Overall, excited and can't wait to have the actual card in hand. All the very best to folks still in the process and please let me know if you have any questions.
