Employment Based Greencard

For awhile now, I've been a silent and avid reader of this forum, somewhat deriving some comfort from other people's experiences while waiting for me green card. Thank God it is finally over.

Here's the timeline of my green card journey:
EB2-Philippines
Priority date: 7/30/2019
Received date: 7/30/2019, Concurrent filing for I-140, I-485, I-765, I-131.
9/6/2019-Biometrics Appointment
9/24/2019-Approval for I-140
11/28/2019-Case transferred to NBC
1/7/2020-EAD card and advanced parole received
4/29/2019- RFE for medical
5/11/2020- RFE response received
8/3/2020 Interview notice received.
8/31/2020- Green card interview. Was approved on the spot as priority date was current.
9/1/2020-Status changed to I-485 petition was approved
9//10/2020-Card was mailed to me.
9/12/2020 Received Green Card

Yes its over its over: I touched it and I smelled it , got emotional when I opened the priority mail envelope, yeah it was there it looked green with my name on it. All the memories rushed into my mind, the flashbacks of almost 9 yrs, those hard times, struggle, pain, cry, job loss, losing H1b status, jobless for months, change of status from one to another, change of jobs, RFE, the fear of losing status, anxieties, sleepless nights etc etc. what a painful ride. I can write novel about its journey. Thank God it's finally over. I hope you all get yours too. sorry for writing too much just got emotional.

interview: 2/20/2020( case not approved at the spot because of retrogression on March)

My family and I received our green cards last week. I wanted to thank this forum for all the support and guidance that you guys have provided me with over the course of the last 3 years.

We applied for EADs initially in 2017, then 2018 and 2020 as well.

We received our Green Cards on 03-Sep-2020.

While EB-1 dates have traditionally been "Current", our wait times did cause some level of frustration, given that our expectation was to receive the green card within a year of applying. However, considering that we waited for considerably lesser time compared to those in EB-2 and EB-3 queues, feel lucky, and more importantly, given the current circumstances, we certainly feel relieved about getting our green cards!

I have been a silent reader and sharing my experience all through out my entire journey. I arrived in US as H1B since 2014. Struggled a lot along the way, there were ups and downs, and when I had a serious talks with my employer and agreed to file sponsorship - it just gave me hope. It wasn't easy to live and work in USA not knowing your future, fearing what tomorrow brings me with my family. But I remained calm and took day by day issues because life must go on. I knew my employer was taking advantage of our situation but I kept myself busy and focused on whats ahead of us. Prayers will help and encourage the same for you guys to do the same. Patience:-)

Its a long line that we have to endure, but in time you're time will be up and you'd feel free. . .at last!

09/08/2020: Card in Hand.
08/21/2020: We approved your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.
08/20/2020: We ordered your new card.
01/28/2019: Your interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, was completed, and your case must be reviewed. We will mail you a notice if we make a decision or take further action.
11/02/2018: We are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, for an interview.
06/08/2018: We transferred your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, to another USCIS office that now has jurisdiction over your case.
06/08/2017: We accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Our Nebraska Service Center location is working on your case.

I switched employer back in 2016 and had to restart the whole GC application process so my PD was very early and became current maybe 2-3 years ago. But my current employer was dragging their feet. I'm on H1B year-7 now (and no longer!)
