EB3 Timeline
Timeline

PD: 01/30/2018
EB3, ROW, Visa Current

Came to California for school with F1 visa from 2007-2011
Company A: Started with OPT after graduation in 2011. Got H1B in April 2012 with premium processing for 3 years and extended additional 3 years

Transferred H1-B from Company A to Company B in the 5th year of H1B Visa. August 2017
H1B expires Sept 1st 2018, final expiration date (exhausted all recapture)

18 Sept 2017: 1st Day at Company B
01 Oct 2017: PERM Application Started
11 Nov 2017: Prevailing Wages
10 December 2017: Job Posting and Ad Placement
30 Jan 2018: PERM received by USCIS (online submission)
23 May 2018: PERM Approved (112 days)
9 July 2018: Mailed I-765, I-140(premium processing) and I-485 to Nebraska Service Center
11 July 2018: USCIS received combo application
23 July 2018: I-140 Approved with premium processing (12days)
23 July 2018: I-765 Approved

Anyone have their I-765 application approved this quick before? I consulted my lawyer and he says he has never seen it this fast and it could be a mistake. He told me to wait for the next 2 weeks to see if we get the official approval notice and EAD card in the mail.

On the side note:
*** I did not expect it to be this quick since everyone was waiting 4-6 months for their EAD card. The rumor I heard is that if you submit I-140 with premium processing and USCIS sees that your H1B is expiring, USCIS approves your I-765 with your I-140***

Lawyers advised rescheduling interviews
Thanks everybody’s input! My timeline:

EB3 from Detroit area

April 17, 2018 submit 485/131/765 to Nebraska Service Center
May 23 fingerprinting appointment
July 09, EAD/ AP card received
July 17 interview scheduled on August 21

My employer is agent company, it helps process my GC, I already worked for them almost 5 years! My actual project finished from Company A early this year, and switched to Company B with different location, no gap, similar project scopes! Lawyers suggested rescheduling my interviews after October 17, this way match the “ after 485 for 180 days “ you can change job, through my employer still the same Agent Company

Has anybody experienced similar issues? After long wait, finally my turn but rescheduling, really frustrating!

Thank you in advance!

address change
I have been a silent observer for some time. I completed my interview on July 17th. I've just received a mail letting me know that my case have gone in to ROW retroregression as my priority date is not current.

My question for this helpful community is, has anyone had experience changing their address with USCIS while petitions are pending? I have heard stories ranging from USCIS communications being majorly delayed due to address change, to having no impact at all.

I would be grateful if people who have changed their address with USCIS can share their stories?

485 interview completed
Hi Guys,

Just completed my 485 interview. Was just asked name, Dob, current address and all yes/no questions. Just checked my EAD and passport, nothing else. IO didn’t say anything at the end of interview, just escorted to the door and said thank you/ bye. Is this normal?

Thank you!

GC timeline
Hello Everybody!
Thank you for sharing your experiences and thoughts, it helped me a lot: to get the whole process in a right way, to prepare fr the interview and, of course, to stay positive! Time to pay off with my experience.
Category: EB2 ROW
PD: August 2017 (took 6 long months to get approved)
I140/I485 filing: March 2018
I140 approval: March 2018 (2 weeks, premuim processing)
I485 Intervew notice: June 2018
I485 Interview: July2018 (on the spot approval, online status changed to "Card is in production" the same day)
GC in the mail box: 1 week after the interview

Interview experience.
I went to the interview with my spouse (I'm the main applicant). Felt like we took ALL docs we had ever had). IO started with basic questions like date of birth, name, place of birth fo both of us. Most of the questions were related to our marriage and our relationschips. Even though we're married > 7 years, so be prepared to answer the questions, showing the pictures (different years, different seasons, different places). Next 10-15 yes.no questions. After that IO asked me basic info about my spouse including names of the parents, then asked same questions for my spouse. Finally few questions about immigration history (visa types, why we got them, why we had different types of visa and so on) and few question bout my job - where I work, what are my responsibilities.
Pretty straightforward.
Be prepared.
Be confident.
Answer all questions but don't talk too much unless asked for more details.

All in all, it is a long and painful pocess, be patient and it will be finnaly approvel.
Good luck to All of you!
