EB3 Interview
Hello everyone!
I've been a silent reader of this forum and learned a lot from you. Now, I am preparing my interview. My case is a little different since I am adjusting my status from F1 to green card. I am a registered nurse. My employer during my OPT sponsored me for green card. However, I stopped working there when my OPT ended. I did not went back to work when i received my EAD because I was doing my masters at that time. Now, I am very nervous about the interview. Could me not working there be a problem during the interview? Since, I completed my masters, I am a nurse practitioner now. I have job offer from another employer as a nurse practitioner. What should I do?

Tough EB-2 NIW Interview Experience
I think IOs are still having trouble differentiating between EB-2-NIW and typical employment-based categories. It's disturbing when they ask for 485J, work hours, salaries, foreign degree but never ask about research accomplishments or higher degrees in the US or future plan. Why is a post-doc paid less than the national average- how do you explain this when the IO can't think of any competitive salary below 71K? How would you explain that post-doc is not a permanent job and does never get sponsorship for their GC. There is a very legal academic transition for them most likely at other institution - you can't demand to see a post-doc being promoted to a faculty at the same institution.

Never asked for birth or marriage certificates - but took 12 photos from our wedding album and placed my post-doc employment (??) letter very seriously at the top. The most recent I-94 we printed from online was not the one they were looking for - they wanted to see the "blank" I-94 at the bottom of my H1B. It's blank simply because I never traveled with my H1b. Again, the IO was super surprised that we did not bring our attorney during the interview.

It was a tough experience.

PERM Certification Advice
Hello everyone,

This forum has been so helpful as I prepare to begin my EB3 journey. I'm particularly nervous for the Perm certification process as I have a relatively junior position and am worried about the process and not being approved.

Would anyone be willing to share your timeline and what the recruitment period for potential candidates/filing the PERM application was like for you?

Thank you so much!

Interview completed and case status is not updated
I had an interview on 6/27 and it went well. The IO told me the all the docs looks good and she said that she does not require any doc for now. Its been almost 20 days I have been eagerly waiting for my card. My case status is still showing “ fingerprint review completed” and it was last updated almost 2 month back. My spouse and son’s status is showing “ interview is completed and my case must be reviewed “. I am in so much agony.

Anybody has any idea? Please help.

Documents needed for the interview
Hi,

Do we need to carry I-140 and I-485 petition copies for the interview?
What about I-140 Approval notice? Do I need to get this from my employer as this belong to the Employer?

Thanks in advance!

I-485 - Request for INITIAL Evidence
Eb1c - India - March2017

I received RFI- evidence for my Birth-Certificate today.

I didn't have my BC when I submitted I-485 and submitted affidavits from parents. I have my BC from Indian authorities now.

My questions are -
How should I respond to USCIS ? The notice says - Secondary evidence (affidavits) are not in expected format and have given various options.

  - Since I have the BC now, should I just provide them the copy and do not say anything about the secondary evidence? Will it work?

 - Do I need to engage my attorney? I may have to pay him hefty fee for the services.

Anybody faced similar situation, please help
