Pending after interview
It's already been 3 weeks I attended the I-485 interview and the online status says-"Interview is Scheduled". How long does it take for GC to come to my hand? It's very hard to wait especially after the interview. Do you guys have any experience on what is taking so long to give them the decision for my case?

My interview was fine and smooth. Is there still a chance to get the RFE? No idea what to do other than just wait wait wait... When should I create the SR or not sure if it is even a option for now.

TSC, EB3, I-485 filed: August 2017 (Concurrent), interview: Last of February 2018

Employment based GC Timeline
Indian Citizen, Nebraska Service Center- Employment based GC
I-140 - Filed - Sept 2017
I-140 - APPROVED - SEPT 2017 (within a week)
485/AP/EAD combo filing - Oct 23 2017
Biometrics - Nov 26 2017
Case transferred to NBO - Jan 18 2018
Interview scheduled notice - Feb 14 2018
EAD/AP approved - March 21 2018
Interview complete - March 22 2018

Interview lasted 30 mins but officer was very friendly and it was a very causal interview with some personal talks in between. I was asked for only my passport ( no other paper was asked). The officer asked me for my job responsibilities and why I am doing this kind of job. I was asked to explain about every employer in the last 5 years. Went over every question in 485 application.

After the interview she mentioned that the case is approved from her side by the FBI name check is not in yet because my 485 processing went faster than usual. She will approve the application when the FBI name check comes in.

I don't want to wait any further because there are changes in immigrations reforms everyday.

Any one else whos application is waiting on FBI name check?

Writ of Mandamus - EB2 NSC
Has anyone experience the Writ of Mandamus? A petition for a mandamus order is made to compel a judicial or government officer to perform a duty owed to the petitioner.

Anyone has experience on this?
My lawyer suggested this.

Thank you

EB2 Interview to Home country
Hi, I just heard from a friend that when applying for EB2 now, the process will be required to go home to your country and have your medical and interview there. If you didn't get approved, you have to stay at your home country.

Is this true?

Travel With EAD Combo Card
Hi All,

I got a question on traveling:

I got my EAD combo card a few months ago and my I-485 application is still pending at NBC. I am currently on an H1-B visa, which expires in 2019. I plan to go back to my home country in this May and stay there for a month. Do I need to go to the US Embassy in my home country to get a visa to re-enter US or can I just use my EAD combo card to re-enter? I kind of know the difference between the two, however, I do not know how things work now under the new administration.

Please share your experience/suggestion.

Thank you!

Case Was Transferred to NB on March 15th
Hi All!

So I've been a quiet reader for sometime now. And now, I will be sharing my experience:

i140/485/ filed October 19 2017
i140 approved 1 week after receipt
i1765/i131 received November 20,2017
Biometrics notice received November 17, 2017
Biometrics done December 5, 2017
February 20, 2017 SR raised for EAD
1 week after SR raised for EAD, SR answered - longer processing times so please wait
i485 case was transferred to another office for processing - March 15, 2018
i485 case was transferred and new office has jurisdiction - March 16, 2018
i485 transfer notice received in mail (transferred to NBC) - March 22, 2018

No EAD/AP yet as of today. Raised 2nd SR for EAD. (This wait is killing my pocket :(( )

I am being very positive that my i485 case is within the normal processing time and will get my green card very soon *cross fingers*.

Do you guys have any idea when can I hear back from NBC or interview notice scheduled?
We mailed i485J together with the i485 forms. Any answer will really help!!

I-140/I-485 (NIW)
Here is my timeline for my application I-140 NIW and I-485

I140 NIW received by USCIS: May 08 2017
Priority date: May 08 2017
I-485/I-765/I-131 received by USCIS: May 31 2018
Biometric appointment: August 22 2017
EAD card mailed to me on November 27 2018
AP obtained in December 28 2018
I-140 approved: February 8 2018

And on March 15th and then on March 16th 2018, my I-485 was transferred twice to another office which has jurisdiction now.
I guess they are going to send me a letter for the interview...

Does somebody have the same timeline?
Do you know how long I am going to wait to get this interview scheduled?

Thanks!
