Employment based Greencard (Seattle) - almost an year now
I-485 case submitted in Jan 2021
RFE received for medical exam in May 2021
RFE response submitted and ACK received from USCIS in May 2021
No updates after that
USCIS opened Service request after calling USCIS couple of times
1) Does USCIS respond to Service request normally in 1 month?
2) What are typical responses people get from "service request"? Is it processed by officer and speeds up processing or folks typically get standard answers that your case is in the window of processing times (which is 11.5 months to 30 months for Seattle).
3) Are others' seeing similar delays? How is the range "11.5 months to 30 months" calculated?
4) Any tricks/tips to speed up processing?

Is there anyone from 2019 or early 2020 who is still waiting to get response from USCIS after medical RFE? Does someone know why they are taking time? For me, it has been 170 days after medical RFE sent but no response yet. I called few times, sent the inquiry about why its taking time but no response on anything.
If it helps anyone, here is what happened with my case.
Married couple (Sri Lankan)
Field Office - Lincoln, NE
December 23, 2019 We received your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.
December 31, 2019 We accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Our Nebraska Service Center location is working on your case.
February 3, 2020 The fingerprints relating to your Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, were taken.
March 6, 2020 Received our EAD cards, valid for a year.
September 1, 2020 I140 was approved
September 25, 2020 We transferred your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, to another USCIS office that now has jurisdiction over your case.(transferred from Field office in NE to the National Benefits center in MO)
November 3, 2020 We sent a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.
December 4, 2020 USPS delivered the medical I693 to NBC in MO, (didn't require any signature at receiving, mailed to the PO box via USPS) (Just to be clear the online case status didn't change from November 3 to January 12)
January 12, 2021 New Card Is Being Produced
We were in the process to apply for EAD renewal (no USCIS fee for that) as it was expiring in 2.5 months. Also, note, we didn't have an interview. The online status changed from "Sent for RFE" to "New Card is Being produced".
Now we are waiting to get the GC in hand. I highly recommend creating a USCIS online account which gives you the history and supposedly a tracking number for the GC. I will update that once I receive the GC. For now hang in tight. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
Reading all comments from different people about receiving the green card in less then a year I feel frustrated. My application has been pending since March 2019 and no update since than. I work for the same company for 5 years already and started with H1B. Tried to contact USCIS, the only response I got was - please wait. I already asked my senator for assistance. Does anybody has an experience writing to senator? Did it help?
Married Couple with a baby
Field Office: Los Angeles
During last week we received two RFEs for our case. One for each of us. We need to supply them a new Form I-693(medical exam).
Besides that, on my RFE, it also requires to provide proof of shared life together (joint bank account, birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to the spouses etc.)
We were told we can mail these evidence by ourselves.
My question will be: after gathering all these documents.
1. Should I reply them in two separate mail packages, One for me and one for my wife?
2. The return address on the RFE is a P.O Box, Should I use USPS Priority Mail with Certified Mail and Return Receipt or I can consider FedEx/UPS as well?
Did not get receipt of EAD Renewal in 2 months. I485 - No response after medical rfe. EB3 ROW 2019 Oct RD
I sent the EAD renewal application by myself on Nov 2nd 2020 and its been 2 months and I have not got receipt yet. The package was received by uscis lockbox. My EAD expires at the end of Jan. I applied late because I was waiting for the approval of I-485 which was submitted on 2019 Oct 16 but no response after medical rfe submitted on July 27 2020. Is there anyone with the same timeline, Any help is appreciated.
Hello, does anybody has an experience in changing employer after 180 days from submitting 485 pertition ? I have been waiting since March 2019 for the interview or any update on my case, but nothing. And now I have an opportunity to change the employer, but want to know how hard is it? Will it cause more questions on interview? Is it risky?
