EAD Renewal update
Let me preface by saying that the reason I got my renewed EAD in hand today is due to this group. When my lawyer was unhelpful and it had been over 6 months since I filed my EAD application, I took matters in my own hands, followed the tips on this blog and got my EAD renewed. SO THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE who shared their experiences, tips and timelines here. You are helping a lot of people by doing so :)

Details:
EAD type: C-09 renewal, NBC Center.
Priority date 8/15/17
First SR: 12/25/2017, response on 12/28/17 citing that I refer to the 180 day EAD extension
2nd SR: 2/15/18: generic response that there are no updates
3rd SR: 3/1/18: again generic response via email after few days
3/15/18: Called helpline transferred to L2 officer said he will generate an inquiry and I will get a response in few days. A week later same generic response again that there are no updates on my case
3/15/18: Also contacted Ombudsman, Senator & Congressman in one day and also booked INFOPASS for 4/10/18 (heard back from Ombudsman after a week citing they have my application and have asked USCIS for a response)
4th SR: 3/24/18: No response
3/30/18: Called USCIS helpline again, spoke to L2 officer who said he will submit an expedite request on my behalf
4/3/18: Wohla!! I got an update on the new DHS site that the case has been approved along with my request for expedite
4//5/18: Update Card is being produced
4/6/18: Card has been mailed
4/9/18: Card is received in my hand :)

I now have a INFOPASS appointment that I am canceling and also reaching out to the Ombudsman, and Senator to let them know I am all set.

EAD NBC/MSC
I know that the processing times for EAD for NBC / MSC is 2.5 - 5 months according to the website.

However my question is: have anyone got EAD in 2.5 - 3 months? It looks like NBC is working very slow lately, and I wonder how accurate that range is.

Finally!
Hey guys, long time silent reader. I wanted to share my experience with my EAD application.
Married to US Citizen

MSC
Filed- Dec 8
Processed App- Dec 18
Bio- Jan 9
Notice of Action on Case- April 6 (We are producing your card and will be mailing to you)

120 Days since I filed my case to receive any notice. I did NOT contact ombudsman, senator or congressman/woman. I only called once around February to see where the status of my case was and that was about it. I was told repeatedly by my lawyer to not call. Especially when you’re within normal processing time (from my understanding it doesn’t look for you if you’re constantly calling them before the end of the normal timeline), which is 4-6 months now according to my lawyer. Calling does nothing. Hang in there guys! I counted my blessings because I’ve seen so many people on here that have been waiting 7+ months. It looks like a lot of Nov-Dec filers are moving quicker than others. I was out of job for almost 4 months now. I thankfully have a supporting husband. I had one job on hold and another recent job offer. Things will get better for you from this point! Prayers to you guys!
