Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hi, I am planning on traveling to India to get my H-1B stamped but at that point my I-485 will be pending. I have been getting mixed feedback from attorneys whether its advisable to travel or not. I understand that due to dual intent of H-1B, it is okay to travel while GC is pending but I am not sure how it impacts H-1B stamping. I would appreciate if anyone in group was in a similar situation or experience. Thanks,

I had my interview for green card based on asylum then I received RFE for my medical. I sent my medical and its been over a month and my case on uscis shows my Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed. How long it will take USCIS to give me a decision on my application

I applied for my parents to adjust their status (concurrent filing of I-130 and I-485) back in January of 2022. My dad's case got some movement back in March 2023 and he was asked to submit his I-693 medical form. I wanted to be pro-active and completed both dad's and mom's medical forms to USCIS. Dad's case got approved and we received his green card in mail couple weeks after we sent in the medical form but Mom's case (both I130 and I485) is pending (Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS). It has been 2 months since then. We live in Dallas area. Has anyone else been in similar situation and is it normal ?

Need urgent help regarding this issue.
Filed VAWA in 2020 while I-485 was pending. Yesterday i got letter from USCIS stating, my i-485 application got denied because i have provided no evidence to indicate i am immediately entitled to an immigrant visa on any other basis. Therefore i am not qualified to adjust status under INA 245.

My question is will this affect my pending VAWA case?
My EAD renewal will get reject after getting i-485 denial ?

Please help me if anyone have faced same issue previously

So I will make my long story short; I am from Massachusetts and I recently submitted my concurrent application with all the forms but my i765. 

When I received my receipts and notices my husband and I decided that I will better off getting a job so I decided to to apply for my i765 separately after. 



I shortly got my receipt number for the i765 too however the other files begin with IOE and the I765 is an MSC. 

I learnt that MSC EADs usually take longer to receive.

So my question is;
1. Is it true that MSC EADs take long to receive?
2. Can I switch the office that is working on my EAD to MSC?

Hi all, I have a scenario I would like you to advise me on.

My wife filed i-130 for my child (from previous marriage) and it was approved in January. The case had since been transferred to the NVC for handling until it will be forwarded to the US embassy in my home country. The problem at hand now is, my wife and I got separated after the approval and before the tax season begins, so we did not file together like before and she is not even cooperating to supply her tax return so I can proceed with my child's green card application.

My question is, can I assume the petitioner for my child on the same case, since I am also now eligible ? I don't want to file for a fresh i-130. Do you think this case will be approved for green card ? How can I go about it ? Do I need to write to the NVC about my scenario ? I need your guide. Thanks.

Finally I come With good news after 5 years of waiting 2 interviews 1 home visit 2 intent to deny and 1 waiver I finally got a 10 year green card. My advice is call them each month , put in aservice inquiry write to the congressman, senate and thanks to this app .

Please I have a concern and will be glad if anyone can provide feedback.

So I filed for VAWA in Oct 2021 and I received a mail few later to provide all available evidence. In March 2021 I submitted all the evidence I have with my written statement but I haven't received a feedback yet.

Is anyone experiencing this long wait period too? Is there anything I can do to enquire or expedite the process? I have petitioned through the Congressman in my city about 3 months ago but no response from USCIS yet. I'm just so confused now I don't know what to do.

Any suggestions or tips will be greatly appreciated.

I received an i693 deficiency notice - but when i submitted I485 last year in July, the i693 was mailed in the same envelope as they sugguested. Why i'm still receiving this notice if anyone have an idea?
