H1B, H4 Visa

I have attended h1b visa at chennai on 5th Oct 2005. Very bad experiance. I am a non IT graduate(Btech Instrumentation) and working in Instrumentation related company. But i am having software experiance in (Dotnet) instrumentation related. The visa officer not considered this experiance as software related field and my passport returned to me by putting seal as received on Oct 05. My I 797 and I 129 other forms are with visa officer. What should I do?

BUT AFTER MY TECHNICAL ROUND THEY HAVE ASKED ME A
QUESTION LIKE WHO IS YOUR CLIENT?
ALL THE ANSWERS GIVEN BY ME IS SATISFIED BUT THEY ASKED ME FOR THE PROJECT DETAILS LETTER FROM THE CLIENT.AND TELL IN DETAIL HOW THEY ARE GOING TO PAY FOR ATLEAST 12 MONTHS?
PLS LET ME KNOW DID ANY ONE OF YOU OR YOUR FRIENDS ATTENDED FOR THE SECOND TIME AND GOT STAMPED .

   I am planning to schedule an appointment date with the consulate in JAN. I am married. Can me and my wife (for H4) appear for the interview together?.
    Or do i need to first get H1 and then apply for my wifes H4?

I am new to your group but while browsing the info on this site is surely of great help.

Now my concern is that I am currently on student visa in canada and have got my H1B interview on 18th oct '05.

The problem is my employer has mentioned the interview location as Mumbai Consulate as I recently was there for 3 months but now I am back and would like to apply for my interview at Ottawa Consulate here in canada.

I have my school transcript, telephone bills, visa bills and bank letter so prove my residential status in canada apart from visa and study permit.

Kindly advice and let me know what best course of action can be taken so as to avoid my trip back to india.

     I had 3 L1 stampings in my passport which were expired and when i went for a b1 stamping they put "Cancelled without Prejudice" on all those stampings and gave B1.

Now i am plannign to apply for H1B. What should i answer for the following questions in DS 156

Question 35
Has Your U.S. Visa Ever Been Cancelled or Revoked? Yes/ NO.. The concern for me is there is no column where i can explain mmy case.

Please help as this is urgent.

I am permanent resident of AP. and my employer mentioned my permanent address as my current address. But i m working in pune from last 2 year. so I come to know that i could not apply in chennai consulate so i m going to appear in mumbai consulate. But in my form 797c (Notice of ACtion form)the consulate name is "Chennai" . Will it create any problem? Do I need to carry any other document with me?

My H1 Experience

Thanks to this forum,It really helped lot to get H1,Here i am writing my experience.

My Interview Appointment was on 29 September at 3:15 P.M to 3:30 P.M.

I went to Consulate at 2:45 P.M. They allowed me at 3:00 P.M to getting in and they asked me to show my passport and the web appointment print out.

After getting in, there will be a line for TTS visas counter. I had given 441/- DD (They allow cash also)They have given a receipt and i took that receipt and entered into next building. The Doors were very heavy (helpers helped to me to open the door)
There will be around 11+ counters, (First counter is only for payment 2200/- and rest are used for interviews)
They asked me to go counter number 11(counter are are from right -> left), I had given DD of 4400/- and my visa papers, web appointment Receipt, passport and DS-156 & 157 forms. They verified all these and they put all these in green color folder, Then they were given a light green color Slip. (My slip number/token number is 113 ,Do remember the slip number/token number , Office people will communicate with this number only),
they told me to wait for some time( In this gap they checked all the papers and web appointment ) after 15 minutes they called me with my number (113) ,I collect my papers which are arranged in green color folder.
Then i stood in the next line that was counter no 9. Officer took fingerprint scanning in this lane. (Do remember first we need to put left showing finger next right showing finger on scanning device.)
After completion of fingerprint scanning, they asked me to wait (Chairs are available to sit at left side), they called the numbers based on visa officer availability. Around 5 P.M they were called my number (113). Then Interview started as follows (it is nearly 45 minutes)

Me: Good Evening officer
Of: Good Evening,
Me: I had given green color folder (which contains DS-156, DS-157, Passport and papers)
Of: He checked all the documents ( he checked each and every paper in the passport and visa document and he asked Offer letter
Me: i had given offer letter
Of: How do u know about the company?
Me: I answered as follows
Through paper add, I attended walk in interview and they selected me after three rounds of interview.
Of: Where is your Company located in US
Me: I said My company is located at YYYY
Of: Why did they preferred U?
Me: I said that i had the following skills

Me: I had given all of my certificates(He checked all the certificates very deeply)

Of: who are the clients
Me: I said our clients
Of: Where the client is located and asked about the clients of ZZZZ
Me: I had given complete picture about the client (he checked the company web site).
There is very disturbance with neighbor counters because the lady officer pitch is very high and i can't hear the my interviewer voice . I said him that i am not getting your questions properly, he understood the problem which i am facing.
Of: stared questions about company (who files my H1 papers)
Me: Sorry sir , i am unable to hear your questions
Of: he asked some other questions and he observed my problem and said ,wait for some time i will call back.
Me: I was so tense about officer words, and i pray god at that time ,after a 20 min gap, they announced my number (113) one more time, by that time they had sent another counter that is counter number 5. I found another officer there . I wish the officer ( he is a French cut guy)
Of: asked my Certificates
Me: I had given all my certificates, he verified all the certificates and he asked about the company (Who fires my H1 papers)
Of: where is your company located at US
Me: I answered my company is located at AAAAA in US
Of: who interviewed you?
Me: I said the same story (Through paper add, I attended walk in interview and they selected me after three rounds of interview. Persons YYYY are interviewed)
Of: How long do you plan to stay in the U.S.?
Me: I said 3 years( ie. H1 term)
Of: Where will you be working in the U.S.?
Me : I said that I am going to work at office( Don’t say that going to work at client place)
Of: Which Client are u going to work for?
Me: I said the client name
Of: Where the client is located at US?
Me: I said client location
Of: On which project u r going to work
Me: I said that I am going to work on KKKKK
Of: Do u have any documentation about KKKK
Me: I have given some papers, which contains information about KKKK.
Of: Do u have any visa rejections?
Me: I said NO.
Finally he satisfied and said Ok. All the best
I went to counter No 1 and given 2200/- DD and took receipt from them ,after 2 days I got my passport through Courier.
