H4 visa approved but says Admin process
Hi friends,
I have attended my H4 dependent visa interview on NOV 30th VO said visa is approved no 221g is given but till date the status shows Admin processing . I mailed them couple of times but the response from them is "Your visa is under process". I attended my interview before my husband's visa got approved ( his passport got issued on DEC 7th and collected on DEC 9th ).
My student visa application is cancelled 2 years ago at the USA port of entry due the bad accreditation from the university but in my H4 visa interview VO was not even concerned about that.
I am bit a worried now it's already been 21 days and the status is not changing . Not sure what factors might cause so much delay.

H1B Visa Interview Experience
Hello Friends,
First of all a big thanks to everyone who has shared his interview experience in the forum.Its been great help and this forum being the sole source for me to know about the current trends / updates on H1B interview experiences.I was extremely concerned and arranged all the possible documents I can think of before coming to India(and all recommended documents in the previous posts on this forum).
Here are my two cents towards this:

This is my first H1B , and have changed my status from F1 -> H1B.
I started working with my employer on my OPT and got the H1B petition approved. OPT was expiring in July and H1B will start from October, I applied for STEM Extension OPT and got it approved. So there's no gap in the OPT and H1B status.
Visa Interview was short, and Visa officer was very nice american lady in her mid 30's.Here's the transcripts from my Visa Interview:
Me: Good Morning Mam, How are you?
VO:I am good ,how are you
Me: I am good Mam, thanks
VO: Please pass your passport and I-797
Me: Passed
VO: So you graduated from YYYY University
Me: Yes, Mam
VO: Did you work with your employer on OPT
Me: Yes Mam
VO: Explain your job responsibilities
Me: explained (i think she was thinking my answer as learned one..:)
VO: Your VISA is approved, you will get your passport in the week's time(super happy)
Me: Thankyou Mam
She mentioned week's time with no mention of my AP, was thinking might it be send for AP, but got VISA issued in one day.
Case created: 12/15
Interview: 12/18
VISA Status: 12/18 : AP
12/19: Issued
12/20: Passport ready for pickup
Few Suggestions:
1) Be Confident and happy
2) If you have complete documentation, there shouldn't be any concern
3) Even if VO says week time, doesn't mean it will be AP.

Interview on December 8th; VISA approved but AP

Does anyone have any update for their application if the interview was on December 8th and the VO said VISA is approved but the CEAC status shows AP. No 221(g) was given out.

US citizen child to accompany us for the interview

I & my spouse are planning to attend H1b & H4 interview during the last week of December at chennai. Our son is an US citizen & he is 11 months old. Is it advantageous to take our son along with us for the interview? Will it be in anyways advantage for us or is there any issue ?

Admin processing 221g blue slip chennai

I attended for Visa Interview in Chennai on September 11th 2017. During the interview Consulate officer issued 221G(Administrative Processing). It's been more than 100 days no status update till date.
I have been calling National Visa Center and unable to provide any information. DHS has contacted client on November 30th. HR has responded to all of the Immigration questions and he got a reply that states that whatever he sent them was fine. No documents were requested on 221g or no email has been sent for further documentation.
EVC model. Interview went fine I changed the middle vendor in June and had an increase in pay. So they questioned in the interview why is your paystubs not constant every month? They took copies of client letter, PO, LCA, I-129 and issued 221g. I'm emailing and calling US consulate every other day. Same response.
Please advise anyway to escalate the case or why is there so much of delay in my case?

H1B drop box- chennai. Passport delivery initiated in 6 days
I did drop box in chennai on 8th of Dec. H1B + H4 extension stamping.
My visa status timelines

Still my visa status hasn't changed from AP. But my passport tracking says "Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery". I also logged into my cgi federal profile and saw similar updates. Besides, I got Bluedart notification with the tracking number to the registered phone number. Looks like bluedart received the package on 20th (6 pm) and is scheduled to be delivered by 23rd in Trichy.
I was checking only my visa status from time to time and hadn't checked my passport status only. Would advice folks to check both from time to time.
So, as far as timeline goes, on 12th of dec, status changed to AP and by 20th evening, passport was received by bluedart for delivery which makes it 6 business days.

if they ask our salary do we need to tell our salary that is on our i129 or do we need to say the actual amount we are getting or as of now trump has changed for it be minmum of 100k. am confused what to say for this. please help.

Do NOT choose dropbox
Hi friends,
From my experience and my friends experience , I have learnt that never do drop box .99 out of 100 cases you still need to go for an interview and finger prints. if you have ample of time and if you dont care how long it takes, you can opt for it. but if you want your process to speed up and get your visa asap, you better choose dierct interview.
