Nov 22nd: Interview. VO said your visa has been approved and you will get your passport in 3-5 days.
Dec 13th : Administrative Processing
Dec 15th : Administrative Processing
Still showing AP.

I have been following this forum and wanted to share my experience here and also looking for any suggestions or opinions on the same.
Interview date: 8 Dec 2017
Questions asked:
VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning. How r u doing?
VO: Good. Thanks
VO: Did u hold any other visa before h1?
Me: Yes, I was on F1 before.
VO: Can I have ur I797
Me: Yes, here it is.
VO: which uni did u go to there:
Me: told the uni name
VO: who is ur employer?
Me:Xxxxx
VO: how many employees work there?
Me: xxxx
VO: do u have a client?
Me: yes I do.xxxx
VO: do u have a client letter?
Me: yes I do
VO: ok can I have a look at it? And also can u say what does ur client do?
Me: gave the letter n gave a brief description of the client.
VO: ok, I am keeping ur passport but there is a routine administration processing that would require 3 days. It can also take upto a week but it should take more time.
Me: can I know if it could go more than that cause i have my return trip planned which is next week
VO: It shouldnt take more time.
Me: ok thanks.
I dont know y is it taking that long. I have read in the forum that many people converting from f1 to h1 are experiencing this. I have contacted my university to check my sevis status n it says completed.To track the status I keep checking my email for the approval email and also the ceac.state.gov site to check the status but it still says” passport is with the embassy/ counsulate”. The case status was updated on 13 and then on 15 but it still says admin processing.Anyone with similar experiences? Would this be an issue caused due to delay in visa prinitings or any background verification. No one till now has been contacted yet neither my employer, client or my university.

H4 Visa Issued H1B Administrative Processing
Hello,
I went for dropbox at Mumbai on 11th December 2017 for my H1/H4 extension.
11th Dec: Documents dropped off
12th Dec: Case created
For my H1 visa: status is Administrative processing update date:14th Dec
H4 for my wife: Issued on 15th Dec and got an email saying passport is ready for pickup.
Anybody else experienced this situation? Is there any solution?

I booked an US visa appointment by creating a new profile in https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/
. I had a old profile with my old passport number , I tried to update the old passport number in my old profile but could not do that . Hence, I created a new profile with my new passport number.
I want to know will there be any issue because of this.

221g white slip and returned the passport
Hello All,
I request you all to give some suggestions about my 221g Case.
I had my interview at HYD consulate on Nov 7th-2017. VO asked basic questions,

finally she asked is your CANADA visa(VISITOR) rejected. I said yes, there was a TYPO in my application. She said we cannot process your visa now needs additional processing and returned my passport and gave 221g White slip
It's been 40 days i still didn't received any email or call asking for documents. I have seen in this forum lot of people where asked documents for 221g white slip cases.
Can someone please suggest how i can proceed, If I didn't received any Email or call does it mean rejection of visa?

My H1b visa status is showing revoked .

I filed for my H1 visa on October 2015 and received my H1 visa approved on 4th Jan , 2016 . In between since my husband applied for his H1 visa extension ( Dec, 15) so I got my H4 ( I539) approved on Jan 14th , 2016. During the time of 4th Jan to 14th Jan i went to SSN office assuming i have H1 work visa to get my SSN number so that I can start the project but I have never received SSN on the basis of my H1 visa and my pay slip not generated against my H1 visa. And later on I assumed since my husband applied for H4 visa extension along with his H1 visa so i get converted to H4 visa again . Currently my H1 is showing revoked by UCIS . Am I not eligible to covert my previous H1 visa again? Can I be considered as out of cap ( cap exempt? )

Admin processing with out 221g?
Hello,
Just wondering, how many people recently had confirmation from VO stating visa is approved, but case status showing as Admin processing? And how long has it been showing the same status, but last update date changed? my spouse passport is being held with Embassy for about 8 days so far, status showing as AP. VISA mentioned visa is approved, and did not give us any 221g nor received any email requesting further docs needed. Please let me know so I can have an estimate. Many thanks in advance.

Hi All,
I have applied for H1B for the first time this year and chose HYDERABAD for OFC and Interview.
Dec 8th Friday - 11:00 AM OFC Appointment. Came out by 11.30AM
The security at HYD will allow you inside 15min prior to your appointment. You need to carry only 3 documents for this.
1. Passport ( All if you have multiple ).
2. DS-160 Confirmation Page
3. Appointment Confirmation
They will just verify the details on your DS-160 with the Passport, if there is a mismatch in any field you can modify your form just outside for 100 Rs/- and then go back for fingerprints. You can go directly to the office without being in line if you modify. No electronics allowed inside ( even mobiles )
Dec 11th Monday - 09:00 AM Interview. Came out by 9:15AM
The security will allow you inside 30min before your appointment. Please don't carry any electronic equipment, you can use lockers outside to store your belongings if no family member accompanied you.
The interview was smooth and short. There are around 4-5 counters which will look like some railway booking center where interviews happen simultaneously. Please try to focus and not worry about whats going on in other counters. The guy just before me for was F-1 for which VO asked lot of questions before approving.
My interview : VO was a young female, she approved 2 VISAs just before me. She asked the following questions without asking for any documents except my I-797 which was passed to her by some guy in that counter.
Q1) How long have you been working with your petitioner YYYY ?
Q2) Is it a client location or petitioner's location ?
Q3) What will your be salary in US ?
Q4) Where will you be working at? ( City, State )
Q5) Have you read the white pamphlet given by staff ?
VO then said your VISA is approved or something ( I couldn't hear properly though I understood what she meant ). She told have a nice day and kept the passport. Total interview time : 1min.
