I had my H1-B visa interview on March 28th 2011 at New delhi consulate.
The VO asked him only 2 questions
1) How long i am working with the current employer
2) What are my job duties.
After that VO said your visa is approved and will get the passport after 2 days

I had my H1B visa stamping(from chennai) and was issued pink slip (221g) for a common muslim name issue(i think so). It is now 53 days. Can anyone please let me know whether they had similar issues and the time it took to get the visa stamped.

Am going to attend the H4 Visa interview on 21st of April 2011 with my 6 month old boy baby. Having some doubts please share your experience and clear my doubt. Plz share your questionnaire.
Here are my questions?
1. Do we need original I797 and I129?
2. Do they ask for snaps which has taken during tying the knot since am having my reception photos only?

I have applied H1B in 2008 and got the documents. Due to some personal problems and rejections are more then i have attend the interview in 2010. The VO was given 221g and i have updated the same to consultant. and they are not able to provide the documents.
Now my company is applying for H1B for this year quota. Is there any problem to apply becuase my last application is not yet closed because they have given 221g.
Please provide me the inputs.

DOB is wrong in I129 petition
Hi,
My H1B petition is approved but the I129 which my company filed has a wrong date of birth but the I797 approval notice have the correct DOB.
Can anyone pls let me know what I should do now?
Can I go for the stamping or I should do something to correct the DOB in I129?

H1b interview done on Apr1st 2011 in Hyderabad
Hi team,
I attended my H1B visa interview on Apr 1st 2011.
Officer said my visa has been approved.And taken my passport.
But still i didn't receive my passport.
When i checked in VFS still it was in us Consulate(embasy).
Please provide your inputs.what happen in back ground once visa approved.

thanks for all the help. Finally my wait is over. I attended interview in chennai on march 18 2011, got 221g blue. VO took all the client letter and contract agreements PO and petition along with LCA. I have been waiting for 4 weeks to hear from the consulate. Today i got a letter from consulate asking to send passport. Finally my wait is over. Hope everyone will have asuccessful outcome...
now i am ready to fly to US. thank you very much god....

Green Slip and call to come back to consulate
I had received a green slip in March. Then after a few days I received an email asking to submit my passport. I was Hoping to get my passport stamped but then I received a call from consulate asking all normal H1b questions. Then she said it will take time for the processing. I again received a call now to come to the US consulate in Delhi as they would like to speak to me.
Is this a normal practice? What is the general outcome when such a thing happens?

My employer has initiated H1B processing for me in April 2011. I am from non-IT background but have 2.8 years IT exp in a MNC. Can somebody confirm whether less than 3 years experience is eligible for H1B, as I have heard from some people that H1B petitions with non-IT background and less than 3 yrs exp are getting rejected.
Any pointers to this will be really helpful.
