Successful stamping at hyd consulate
I attended the Us Consulate for H1b in Hyderabad.The interview was pretty cool.These r the ques he asked.

H1B Stamping
We (Me, my wife, my son, daugther) went to US Embassy in Mumbai for Stamping, today morning. My interview appointment was at 8.30am.
It was big line outside consular office, we directly went near gate and showed my appointment letter to security, by seeing kids with us he asked us to go inside witout waiting in queue.
After security check and all we went inside the waiting hall there were 100+ people already waiting there, but within 5 minute they announced our number and asked us to see counter # 6.
We went there,
CO: I have 3 application and you are 4 people ?
ME: My daugther has US Passport.
CO: Okay, i was just making sure.
CO: So you work in Merrill Lynch.
ME: Yes (with similing face).
CO: Mam how do you like New Jersey
My wife: Its very good there.
CO: Young boy which grade you are in school?
My son: I'll be goin to 2nd grade
CO: I can't ask any thing to your daugther.
ME: Similed
My wife: Similed
CO: Your visa is approved, you will get your passport with visa today at 5.30pm.
ME: Thank you
My wife: Thank you

There were atleast 100 people waiting inside, and I was thinking it will have to wait atleast 2 hours for my Interview. But my 4 months old son started crying badly, and we were allowed to take interview first.
Just 6 Questions asked by VO
Q1. What do you do ?
Q2. What does your (sponsoring) company do ?
Q3. What’s your Qualification ?
Q4. How much will be your Salary ?
Q5. Have you ever been to US before ?
( I already posses a US B1/B2 visa and have visted US thrice)
Q6. How old is your Baby ? (Funny Question...! )
Then he saw my sponsoring company website for good 5-7 mins.
And that is it.
Golden Words came after "I have issued your Visa, you will get your passport in 2-3 days by courier"
The Visa Officer didn't asked for a single document, though I was carrying a file containing 10-12 all important documents.
Be Confident, Remain Cool an Calm, and the Visa will be yours.

221G query -- cleared in 2 days
Hi Every one,
I went to hyd consulate for H1B stamping on 16th june 2009 , Vo gave me a 221g white form asking for New LCA.
I droopped the requested LCA and passport on 19th jun 2009 and I got my visa on 23rd june 2009 ..so it took only 2 working days for them to issue

Some people are reading experiences and doing lot of research before going to the consulate but forgetting to update others after getting the stamp. Please guys, there are lot of people including me waiting to read positive feedbacks from you. I think atleast 400 people attend interviews everyday at a particulat consulate. But I do not see even 2 to 3 shared experiences on the forums.
Please make some time to update/post your experience at the consulate wheather it is positive or negative.

Stamping experience - Chennai Consulate June 8 th ' 09
Me and my wife went for H1B and H4 stamping to the Chennai Consulate on June 8 th 2009. This forum was very helpful and want to give my share to this forum as well. The interview was at 9 AM. I went there at 7.45 am.
7:55 am : Verified the appointment letters (outside there is a window where we need to show the appointment letter)
8: 00 AM: security clearance (Do not take sealed envolopes. If carrying a folder go for a transaprent folder). I had a non transparent one which the security questioned, but let me go.
8:20 AM: We were made to sit in a place just after the security cclearance.
8:25: The person inside was calling the interview timings: 7.45,8:00,8:15 am appointments. Finnally at 8.30 they called for 9 am appointments.
8:40: Finger prints were taken for me and my wife
8:50: For H1's and H4's it was not seperate hall. the counter was just after the finger printing counter and it was not at all crowded.
8:55: I was standing in the line for the interview(Only one guy was ahead of me)
9:00 AM: Questions asked:
Me: Good morning
Vo: Did not reply for that
Vo: How long are u there in US:
Me: 6 years (3 years F1 and 3 years H1B)
Vo to my Wife: Where you are going to live
wife: Los angeles
VO: what is your husbands salary
Wife: 32 k (which was wrong)
Me: Corrected saying my salary
Vo: You will get your passport in 2 busines days.
Me: I went and collected the passport next day from vfs office.

Got VISA after 221G
Hi guys.
I got my visa yesterday after long struggle.I have attened interview on 31 Dec2008 and VO issued me the 221g for additional docs.I have submitted with the docs on March 25 2009.Then again i got one more 221g for the sending passport.
Finally i got my passport yesterday with stamp.So Guys dont lose your hope who got 221g.If the docs are correct no one will stop to get visa.

spouse on tourist visa
Hi
I am currently on h1b status but got married on june 17,2009. My husband was on a tourist visa when we got married.
Now there's only 3 more weeks to go before his tourist visa expires. How can we make it on time to file for H4? is there a premium processing for this?
I don't want him to go back to the Philippines.
Is it possible for him to be here in USA legally while waiting for his H4 approval?

I went to US in May 2008,but I came to India 5months back.as I dont have any job in USA.when again I planned to go in the month of May 2009,my emloyer told not to come as the situation at immigration is not good,as there lot of verifications are going on.
