I attended VISa interview today for H1 B.
I got my approval in May 2008.
Today,I was asked to submit document describing my project details.
I would suggest everyone to go with Client Letter or Project Details.
Do not go without this document.

H1b Visa Approval in Hyd
Looks like hyd consulate is really cool for getting the visas.
I got my H1B stamping done in Apr. Also four of my relatives got thier visitor visas with out any trouble.
My case is from F1 to H1, she did not ask any documents other than the offer letter. Most of the conversation was oral. be confident and be bold.

Thanks a lot for all the members, who contributed to this site and i got benefited thru this site, my h1b and h4 for my spouse and kid got thru. it took less than 5 min.
Pl. note people who are coming from other stations with baggage they can keep their stuff infont of the consulate office , there is a provision which u can avail by paying 50 bucks.

Hi All,
I went to US in Aug 2008. At that time my employer was A. He did not respond properly. He did not pay me, no pay stubs.
After waiting for 2 months I joined company B
Employer B started H1 transfer in Oct 2008
For employer B, I did a project also for 2 months.
We got H1 transfer approval on 21-Apr-2009. But wihtout new I-94. So I had to leave US ASAP. They said that when I came here initially through company A, there is no supportive documents which proves my association and termination with company A. And therefore I was out of status.
Now my questions are:
1) What complications can raise for my re-stamping?
2) What documents will be needed?
3) Do I need to show any client project or in-house project will do?
4) If you feel any other problem then please let me know.
5) Chances of rejection are more under these circumstances for me?
If someone can help me in this matter then I will be very thankful to him/her.

H4 Visa at Hyderabad Consulate
I attended the visa interview this morning @ 9.30. Went in at 8.45, came back by 9.45. There is a mobile/luggage counter where you can leave your cell phones, bags etc.
The VO officer was very cool. My situation is I already had L1B visa and my husband's H1 was expiring in aug 2009. I was skeptical on the short time period. But the interview took less than 5 mins and I was approved.
VO: Why do you intend to goto US?
Me: To Accompany my husband
VO: Where is your husband working
ME: New Jersey
VO: How long he is working in this company
ME: xx years
VO: Give me his payslips
Saw them, checked something on his computer and then gave them back.
VO: If I approve your H4, I have to cancel your L1 visa. Is this fine?
ME: Yes
VO: Have you resigned your current job?
ME: No, but I would be doing in this month end. Delay due to sister's marriage.
VO: When is your sis marriage?
ME: date
VO: thats nice. Would you be resigning your job before you leave on H4?
ME: Yes, definately
VO: Your visa is approved, it will reach in a week's time
ME: Thank you very much. Have a good day
There were other local employees within consulate who is speaking hindi, telugu, english and guiding all accordingly.
No tension. Most of the people who went along with me got the visa. I didnt see any rejections in the 20 mins I was there.

Got H1B in New Delhi consulate Today

This website has really helped me a lot.That is why i am posting my experience.I carried almost all the docs as required.

I carried 6 folders(every possible data!) along with my college degree.
MOST important DOCS from my research( Although i was asked for none):
PROJECT Description(Timelines of the project) Client letter(If its a client side project. roles and responsibilties, client contract) else all financial statements of ur petitioner( for in-house project)
after gud morning n all.....(i even had a fingerprinting problem for 6-7 minutues(may be due to general sweating), but still i was confident.)infact i kept on smiling(almost laughing)in front of the officer(V.O) because they were not able to get my 2 finger prints matched with each other.
vo: so tell me about ur work...wht work u do?
me: blah blah....
vo:do u know anyone in this c/o..sum referal?
me: no
vo:how did u get in touch:
me:...blah blah...dice n all.
vo:is it a new c/o?
me: no.....blah blah
vo:whr will u be working?
me: client side at nyc....blah balh...
vo:ur education highest qualification?
me:blah blah
vo:ur total work exp.?

All i did was very Confident when replying!!....if u hesitate while answering....he will ask for more proofs/papers for sure......so even if u carry all docs...thr is no way they can reject u.....dress formal...Thats it!......he dint even ask for a SINGLE document( can u beleive it!!....atleast i could not!!) apart frm mandatory passport n all..
