Child's birth certificate
Spouse passport xerox
tats it....
golden words..."Your visa is issued"
I carried all the docs but was never asked for any.....
thanks to my baby...
she was such a sweetheart and was never fussy at all.....
It wud have not been possible without my hubby's help and support....
He was very patient in explainingeach and everyth I need to knw
and I got all the docs in time.....
Friends H4 visa is a straight down visa if you have all the docs....

My H1B was approved for the Y2007 i went for the interview on July '08..it started with the Security...

next in the docs counter..given my papers
Lady in counter : Noticed the B1 i had taken in JAN'08...matched the photograph in VISA and

Lady in counter : She gave me the blue folder..she had put all docs inside that..didn't verify anything
(i had put Petition,I797,I129,invitation letter, project & work location letter, offer letter)

Hi,
I have no idea about how I get such visas type. I studied architecture and have about 5 years experince.4 years in US Agent in Germany. How do I follw or make any contact? How I start what should I have and so on...
Please any help would be appreciated.
This morning I had H4 visa interview which went unexpectedly cool and simple.
I was well prepared, landed at the consulate well one hour before the schedule time.
I could see some other applicatants for H4 and the one before me got 221(g). I think she is newly married and hard luck for her to get the form. So you can imagine my thoughts running in my mind. After her my turn came in.
VO (Visa Officer): Hi, How are you?
Me: I am fine, thank you mam, how are you?
VO: I am doing good, please give me your documents
She check my passport first and started checking my husbands passport. She could find the US visa which is in the last valid page of his passport. I helped her with a separate color zerox copy of his visa and I-94. Her first question to me:
VO: What was your husbands previous company in India?
Me: He never worked in India, he worked only in Europe and now in US
VO: Have you been to Europe before along with your husband
Me: Yes to countries XYZ I have been along with him
VO: What did your husband do in Europe for such long time?
Me: He studied for 2 years and worked for 3 years
VO: What did he study?
Me: He studied so and so from X University
VO: What is he doing now?
Me: I said about his profession
VO: Do you speak German?
Me: No, I do speak little bit German, but my husband advised me to say No to that question
VO: You application is accepted and collect your passport from VFS office.
She gave me the contact numbers and address for the VFS office.
I was wondered, she did not ask for the paystubs, employment details, salary details, photo album, marriage certificate etc etc which we normally expect during the interview.
I carried the following documents:
- DS-156,157,original HDFC receipts, appointment letter
- Employment verification letter from Client
- Support letter from my husbands employer
- Two recent paystubs, bank statements (3 months old)
- LCA, Entire passport of my husband, I-797 (Zerox), color Zerox of my husbands US Visa
- His company's tax statements, client letters
- His MS degree certificates and all the employment letters from his stay in Europe, payslips from Europe
- Our marriage photo album, marriage certificate, marriage invitations (she didn't ask a question about our marriage)
I would really thank God for this smooth process and my husband for helping me with all this. He made sure that all documents reached on time and helped me with some questions picked up from this forum. I sincerely thank this forum.
Be confident, smart and answer as simple as possible. All the best for future applicants.
After two years and couple of reviews, chennai embassy finally sent a letter stating the following
DO not known what to do now
Based on the documents you have submitted to us,and the information elicited in your interview with an American Consular Officer,we are not able to issue you an H-1B temporary work visa because

In accordance with united states law and department of state guide lines action on your case has been suspended, and the i-129 petition for Non-Immigrant worker filed on your behalf will be returned to the United States CITIZENSHIP and case as presented to us at the time of interview ,the U.S consulate in chennai is no longer handling your case, and will be unable to give you any information on the status of your petition.
For your information ,your visa was refused today under section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).Essentially this section states the a visa cannot be issued to any one whose application does not appear to the Consulat Officer to meet the requirements of the INA or of the regulations there under:
I had attended the interview on July 10th.I waited 4 hours in the queue for the interview.Visa officer has reviewed the mandatory documents for one minute.
