Successful H1 stamping after 221(g) admin process

I worked for 1.5 years in Noida and i returned to hyderabad on a job purpose on May ending .
At the time of slot booking In VFS site it was clearly mentioned that “ State of residency should be the last state where you have lived for at least 6 months” based on that point i booked the slot and attended to Delhi consulate on 10th of August

The interviewer was a gent and he asked the reason for coming to delhi consulate and i said the same thing which was mentioned in the VFS site .He verified the same thing and asked to show me any proof of residence i showed him my rental aggrement .But he is not convienced to my points then he redirected my case to chennai consulate becasue basically i belongs to AP and currently iam working in Hyderabad only .So he issued me 221(g) green paper and asked to attend in Chenni consulate.

Again i attended at chennai consulate on 28th August .

Interview went like this

Me: Gud morning ?
Vo: Gud Morning

Vo: Asked for the folder ?
Me : Passed my folder

Vo: Where ru currently working ?
Me: xxxxx company

Vo: What is ur qualification?
Me: xxxx

Vo: After completion of ur PG what did u done .?
Me: Explained about all of my previous and present experiences.

Vo: How did u get this opportunity?
Me: xxxxxx

Vo: What do u know about this company?
Me: Explained about the company .

Vo: Is it In house project or do u have any clients for the project?
Me: We had a client for the project but iam working in my us compnay site only.On need i may go to client site.

Vo: What is ur current roles?
Me: Expalined about the current roles.

Vo: What is ur roles in US company?
Me: Explained in detial.

He doesn't ask me for a single document after all these questions are done he is picking up a query form and saying that sir we need some more docs from ur employeer in between his words only i said him that i already have some docs with me sir and passed all the employeer related docs to him.

Vo: He clubbed all the docs and said ok sir we need some more time to verify ur docs if all the docs looks ok then we can give ur passport with visa stamped .And they had taken my passport.

On the immediate day i.e. 29th august they send all my employeer related docs and passport with a query form and sended though VFS.

They put a query for

1.Whos is the client ?
2.Where is the aggrement between client and ur US employeer?

And with in a week i received all the query docs from my employeer and i attended on 20th of September .

In the First building only they colletd all my DS156 and DS157 I797,Eduacation Evalution,I129 and passport and they kept the folder with them and asked to move to second building .

I moved to second building and waiting for 4 Hrs after a long waiting a person called me and asked for the query related docs and after some time they again called me and taken me at counter 3 of VO.

She asked all my US employeer docs whatever i had with me.I handedover all my US employeer docs to VO.She clubbed all the docs and taken a query form and put a tick on Adim Process and returned my passport.

On the next day i.e. 21st september only i got a call from consulate and asked me to send the passport through VFS.And i handedover the passport on 23rd of September .

After so many days of tensions today i received my passport stamped with VISA.

swapna i think u have done mistake during interview time. when they asked about project. you should tell INHOUSE project. you need not mention client. but you mention clients . so they asked client letter. if it is inhouse project ,...no need client letter.

My wife went for stamping yesterday. I was really scared as because I am a GC holder and she had visit visa rejected last november. Interview was very short and she got the visa stamped. This is what happened at the consulate.

VO : Good morning
WF : Good morning and how are you ?
VO : Fine and you ?
VO : asked for I797,156,157 and offer letter
VO : Looks like she noticed Q36 and asked my wife about me
VO : Where does your husband work
WF : ZZZ
VO : How long has been in US

VO : Did he petition for your GC
WF : Yes
VO : Who is accompanying you ?
WF : My son and I have appled for his passport and will take another appointment.
VO : How old is he ?
WF : 5 months
VO : Do you have an offer letter from company
WF : Passed on
VO : Where do you work ?
WF : YYYY
VO : What do you do there ?
WF : YYYY YYYY YYYY
VO : What are your roles at Future company ?
WF : YYYY
VO : Ok mam, I am approving your visa and will be delivered through courier between 2 to 5 business days

          I got 221g for not having proper project detail and during the consulate interview i told that i will be working in an inhouse project. Now i have got a client who is willing to give me a letter saying that i will be working on his project. The client is willing to give me all the paperwork that i would need to get my visa .My question is can i change my project from inhouse to a client project after getting 221g .friends please help .

I had attaended for H1B in Chennai on Aug 23 and was issued a 221g Blue form to submit the client letter.I had submitted the required documents along eith 221g form and also my passport on 24th Sept At VFS,Bangalore. As I hold a business visa, my company is asking me to travel onsite by next weekend. As I dont hold my passport with me what shall I do? Please suggest me if any one can help out with some suggesion?

Hello friends,

Reached chennai on Oct 9th morning, took a room near chennai central. my appt was at 2:45.

But my friend called up at 11 and said he got stamped, while his appt was actually scheduled at 12.45. He advised me to start early.

So I started at 1:00, paid 60 bucks to auto guy.

There was a big line outside(seen a gal fainting), security guys told me mobiles were not allowed in. he took me to a small coffee shop and asked me to pay 100 bucks for keeping the phone.

There is a prescreening area, the lady rejected my photo - sayin its little blurred :(

there are touts waitin outside consulate. he took me to the authorized studio in 5 mins. this guy charges 200 for 6 copies.

came back to consulate - auto fella was demanding 200 bucks (god only knws) paid him 50....even thats is more, as it was hardly 1km.

Done with prescreening by 2:30 and was waiting......waiting...n waitin
BTW I had 6:10 train bck to hyd....which I knew I was going to miss.

Later done with finger printing.

Finally at 6:00 I got interviewed:

VO- Hello
Me- how are doin( SAY THIS WITH SMILE)

VO-you will be working for which company
Me-XYZ has a client ABC, will be working on tht project.

VO- Do you have any docs
Me- Yes the client agreement and project timeline

VO- Whats your edu qualif
Me - Master in Information tech

Sees something at his computer(probably my L1 was rejected in 2003 as I was frm non-comp science bground)

VO- wts your master degree you said?
Me- MASTERS IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY(loudly ;)

VO - Do you have tax details.
Me - Passed (had details from 2004 to 2006) .I thought he wld ask me to get 2007.

VO- do you have unemployment wage report
Me- my employer told it will be in Tax returns

He checked and said No its not there. he took a minutes time doing something on his computer.

Ok sir, I m granting you visa and if you have any problem in US contact this number - he gave me a card. and took my passport.

Guys/Gals - Basically one thing I noticed is they are not really interested in your loads of certificates or experience.

they see your edu qualif and project documents. So PLEASE carry that.

As I had already missed the train. my parents told me to visit tirupati which I did for almightys blessings.

I got papers from my petitionar and about book my appointment this year.

Actually I got 221g last year and I was dropped required documents in VFS box also. Event that after that also I got 221g. This time content in the letter as "Based on the documents you have submitted to us, and the information elicited in your interview with an American Consular officer, you do not appear to be qualified for an H-1B temporary work visa.In accordance with United States Law and Department of state guidelines, action on your case has been suspended, and the I-129 Petition for a non-Immigrant worker filed on your behalf will be returned to the USCIS with a memorandum explaining the facts of your case as presented to us at the time of interview. The US Consulate in Chennai is no longer handling your case, and will be unable to give you any information on the status of your petition.

For your information, your visa was refused today under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and the Nationality Act(INA). Essentially, this section states that a visa cannot be issued to anyone whose application does not appear to the consular officer to meet the requirements of the INA or of the regulations thereunder."


This is VISA rejection letter.

So this year some employer filed petition. I got in the lattery.

So this year I will attend the interview.

Here my question is my earlier rejection will carry any shadow on the present and what are the chances of getting.
