In my petition I797B its chenni consulate but i am
working in pune for fast two years.i have a doubt that whethert to go chenni or bombay consulate for stmaping. as per my job(pune) i have to go to bombay consulate for stamping as per my petition I797B i have to go to chenni consulate.but which is the rightone i have to go forsatmping.i dont know.so anybody who knows and one who solve my probelam can give me suggestion in this regrad

Successful H1B Stamping in Mumbai on 3rd Oct 2007

I would like to thank this forum and to all who supported and shared their experiences, which helped me a lot for my interview preparation.
I went to Mumbai consulate on 3rd Oct, 2007, my interview time was 08:15 AM, I was there at VFS around 7:00 AM and they allowed sitting inside. Later had a coffee and we reached consulate at 08:00 AM by the bus they provided. After fingerprint scan I am waiting for my token number to be called. Finally at around 10:15 AM they called my number and told to stand in counter number 4.
My interview went like this:
VO : What you do ?
Me : Blah Blah…… (He was not satisfied with my answer)
VO : Tell me specifically ?
Me : Slowly explained about it.
VO : Where r u working ? (At that time he passed my I797 petition)
Me : YYYY company
VO : For how long you are working in your current company ?
VO : xx Months
VO : What’s your salary here ?
Me : YYYY Rs/annum
VO : What’s in US ?
Me : YYYY $
VO : He again asked the question of What’s your salary here ?
VO : How do you know about this US company ?
Me : (www.dice.com) and some job portals
VO : Thank you sir Your Visa is approved and you will get in 2 days
That’s it I took my I797 and left the place ASAP.
The interview is for about 1 min. and I collected my passport on the same day.
NOTE : If u have a Tie and your company card wear it and go for interview Because it gives you good impression when you are interviewed by the VO.

I got all papers from My petioner for H1B, I am working in Kolkata , i have to attend interview at kolkata according to I797, But dates are not available, My native location is hyderabad, But i want to attend in Mumbai, is it possible to attend in mumbai.Please tell me.

doubt on selection of consulate for stamping
In my Petition I797B its delhi consulate but iam working in bangalore.
I have a doubt that whether to go delhi or chennai consulate for stamping.
As per my job(bangalore) i have to go to chennai consulate for stamping and as per my petion I797B i have to go to delhi.

Inhouse or Client project

i am having interview on november 1st week and my employer says he can get me a client project ( which is another small indian company with very few employees , in the same city nearby location). i am uncertain to ask either inhouse project or client project. Guys, let me know which one would be better if i say Client project or Inhouse project. My employer said he can give me documents for both and he prefer to give me client project with client letter agreemennt. But i feel inhouse project will be good enough as VO ask for project documentation + tax papers of the company and nothing else in most of the interviews... but for client project, they do some check, if they are not satisfied with client agreement and put u on AAP
i am confident and get thru with this interview but to make sure if anyone has any comments about choosing inhouse or client project

Past work experience in DS157 form

I am having my interview in november 1st week. my current working (ZZZ) company has been taken over by another company (YYY). am working with this current company for the past 3.5 years. In that case, can i say that my current company is YYY and previous company as ZZZ.
Since we received a formal letter from current company YYY saying that ur company will be acquired etc... its been 7 months now with the new company. but I dont have any experience letter from the past company who sold it to the new one.
how should i place my details..in DS157 form..??
