Wud like to share experince
I was having interview on 4th october at Mumbai
This was the simplest interview i had faced even in life BUT ofcourse the minutes B4 interview were frustrating
VO asked me following quesions
VO: wht r u doing here in india?
Me:Sofware testing
Vo: wht is the USA company doing?
Me: software development,business sytem integration
VO: what is ur salary there?
Me: said
VO: what is ur degree?
Me: Bachelors in Engineering with secialization in IT
Vo: whaere r u going in USA?
Me: said
These was everything all abt.......
Hardly it took 1 minutes..

Successful 221(g) - Chennai
21st Aug 2007 - I appeared for H1B stamping @ Chennai.
VO: Please pass me your original degree certificate.
Me: Passed.
VO: Is your US Job, In-house or Client?
Me: Client
VO: Name of the Client.
Me: The company has lot of Clients.
VO: Sir, we need some extra information for further processing. Please drop all this documents along with your Passport. Handed me 221(g).
20th Sep 2007 - I submitted all the required docs to VFS, with a extra fee of INR.155/-
6th Oct 2007 - received passport with H1B stamped.

NO spouse name entry in my passport
Hi all,
Me and my wife are attending the H1-b/H4 visa interview on 22nd, we didnt have spouse entry in either of our passports. will that be fine or shall we have the spouse entry, we have allthe other docs with us.. can some one please help me in this regard, please

H1 stamping @ chennai consulate and Looking for H4 For my family

First of all thanks very much for keeping such a wonderful site.
Hope everybody share their experience and read these immihelp.com site will get the stampings soon.
I got my h1b couple of months back @ chennai consulate...
First I got a 221 g form,a month later I got my H1B stamped.
Due to some personal reasons I was not able to take my family during my Chennai,Consulate visit.
Currently My family is waiting for the Interview slot (chennai)
Kindly share your experience/tips for the H4 interview.
Also any idea when the slots will be available for the interview..always www.vfs-usa.co.in says..that interview slots are not available and look after 24 hours...
My experience with Chennai consulate:
1.They very particular about documents.
2.Keep your right & Left Index fingers clean and should not have any white dots or cuts.(I got 221g for small white dots in my right Index finger)
3.We should be very cool.
4.Better take your family during you h1b stamping.so that it is very easy to get h4 stamped the same time.
5.Kids..apply for passport at tattkal if possible.(for my son(10 Months old)I waited for almost 6 months for the passport thru noraml processing.
6.If marreid newly please add your spouse name in your passport and same with your spouse passport your name shd be added.

i attended on 4th Oct in chennai consulate...VO asked me below simple questions. The discussion is hardly 5 minutes.
1) Whats ur highest degree..
I told ..B.Tech ...(batchlor of Technology from JNTU.
2) Can i see ur degree Certficate...
Sure..I passed the certificates...
3) Where r u working currently...
ZZZ
4) How long u have been working in ZZZ..
I told i have been working in YYYY since 2 years..and i have overall 5 years of experience..
5) which clients u worked for...

He told...Ok.. I need further documents...and picked up query form..and ticked all the things..and told me to drop it in VFS drop box ..
He specifically told me not to drop passport..
I am not sure what is the intention behind asking not to drop passport....and why chennai consulate issuing 221g's to many people thesedays..
What are the chances of getting visa through drop box...i am so apprehensive and worried of this situation... I appreciate your reply ....

Successful Stamping of H1 at Chennai Consulate on October 4th
Hi Immihelp, I got my H1B stamped this thursday, thanks for all your support, It was a bit hectic standing in the que for more than 5 hours as Monday was a Bundh, Tuesday was Gandhi Jayanthi, and there were a lot of people, would advice folks go in an hour early if you are going to the consulate in the next 2 weeks, after that it should be calm.
