H1-Stamped from Mumbai Consulate
After seeing the entries in this discussion forum, I was very scared to face interview. This forum is full of Negative Stories. I just want to say this:
If your H1 B is approved from USCIS and if you have GENUINE experience then no need to worry. Just go to interview with free mind and confidence and with all relevent documents. You will definately get it.
God Bleess you.

Applying for2nd time stamping
Dear readers

I got H1B approval from company X in usa and Iam working for Company Y in India.I went for stamping and VO gave me 221G. After droping my docs in VFS drop box, finally I got my passport stamped with H1b. Now my current company, Company Y wants to send me on their H1B.Our Delivery manager is saying that he will transfer my h1 and then he will send passport and new h1b approval notice to chennai consulate and they will stamp again with the new company.
Should I believe him? Is it possible? Are there any risks?

Successful H1-B stamping @ Chennai Consulate
The consulate interview went smoothly and we got a successful visa stamping for all three of us (Me, my wife and kid). It took barely 1 (1.30 to 2.30 PM) hour for us inside the consulate, as we had been given preference because of the kid.
Here is my Chennai consulate experience (may help for the fresh applicants who appears 1st time) - Procedure

1. Good to go 1 Hour before the Interview schedule

2. In the entrance gate Keep the Interview Letter+ Passport alone

3. After the checking, they (guides) will tell you to stand in the counter (total 5 counters) for initial arrangements of necessary documents (no need to panic at any cause - just cool as ever)

4. Keep the Interview Letter, Visa Receipt(with the yellow stickers), DS-156, DS-157 (see whether you have written the full name in native language) , Passport + Old passport if any and I-797 Notice of action (original) + H1B Petition details (I-129 set)

5. The above details are enough for the first counter. They will group everything together in an order and put a rubber band (for us they gave like that) over it and tell you to go to the another building for the interview.

6. Since we had a kid, we were given preference and the process went so quick. So people having kid(s) need not worry and it is strongly advised to go along with the dependant.

7. We were asked to go to the counter 1 (2nd building) for finger printing. It was a 10-15 member queue. But then we were asked to move to counter 2 directly next to a person because of the kid.

8. Only passport is required for Finger printing counter. So take your passport alone from the bundle without affecting the order given earlier by the Indian officer.

9. Now it was our turn, I wished the officer, Good after noon sir. The officer was very sweet and he wished us the same. He told me to place my left index finger and then right index finger(I seen so many people getting confused in knowing their index fingers. Infact I seen a man, showing all 5 fingers and placed his fingers over the speaker instead of scanner). Don’t be nervous, its only a finger printing scanning only.

10. After finger printing, said thanks to the officer and we were asked to sit.

11. Now put back the Passport again in the bundle as it was before and put back the rubber band.

12. After few minutes, an Indian helper called us and told us to stand in a VO counter. In front of us there were only two guys.

13. There will be yellow line in front of the counter. Don’t cross it till the officer calls you .

Now the interview session with the VO
VO: The VO asked me to give the bundle (in fact I removed the band and tried to give me), But he said he wanted me to give the bundle with the rubber band. I was little nervous this time, because the way he ordered me to put the rubber band back was quite rough. Because of this I dint wish the VO also. But it is strongly advised to wish the VO. The first impression is the best impression.
Me: I gave the bundle as whole to him.

VO: Give me you educational certificates.
ME: Sure sir, I pushed my Bachelor & Master Degrees (convocation) to him

VO: "Oh you have done your Bachelors and masters in computer science".
Me: Yes,.. exactly

VO: Is it an in-house project
Me: Yes sir

VO: What is the project?
Me: The project name is xyz

VO: Have you got visa already?
Me: Yes sir

VO: Why dint you go then?
Me: I told him the exact reason.

VO: Oh, is it?
Me: Yes

VO: Can you show me your old passport?
Me: Sure, I pushed him the old passport.

VO: Ok, Your visa is approved. Your passport will be couriered in 3 days.
Me: Thank you .. sir.

Be confident and answer their questions correctly without any nervous.

That’s it.

Hope the above might help a few the freshers who are attending the consulate interview for the first time.

Hi, I went to chennai for my B1 Visa processing.
