Hi All,
I have got my L1 visa approved in Sept 2006 from my company. And company/client wanted me to place in USA by Oct end, however we lost the project and I did not go anywhere. Now I have decided to move on and getting my H1. I have my h1 stamping in this month. Lets say if my H1 is approved, will my current employer be informed that my L1 is cancelled and I got H1. Please suggest !!

Hi all,
i have received a letter from US consulate,chennai stating that they have refused to issue H1B today under section 221(g) since my application doest not appeat to meet the requirements of INA and my I129 has been returned to the concerned USCIS office,USA and i need not approach the chennai consulate office for further information since they will not be able to give information further.what does it mean,whether my visa is rejected completely or any chances of getting since my I129 is returned to US.

Regarding cancellation of my H1 petition
I attended interview on feb 2006 i was given 221g .Recently i have contatcted US consulate by mail regarding my status i got reply mail as follows (This case is currently pending for a consular officer's review).I would like to cancel the petition and i want to apply for new H1 .Is there anyway i can cancel my H1 petition.

I was following these sites for last 6 months
Me and my wife had intrview at mumbai on Feb 6th ,
After routine security checks, my turn came
VO was old American Lady issuing Visas to most of them
My interview went like this
she was not in good mood coz last interviewer was argue a lot
with her and she rejected his visa).
Me: good Afternoon
Vo: No reply (Busy typing on system)
Me : How r u doing mam ?
Vo: Ya, fine
vo: Ohh, let me get you here ( in comp), ok u r here now.
vo: SO you are going on H1 ?
me: yes mam
she hold my petition for a sec and return it back, but
kept passports with her only.
vo: Where r u working now ?
me: company name
(very big company, but she doesn’t know abt it)
vo: how long ?
me: 14months
vo: before this one ?
me: company name
vo: ohhhhh, its nice company
( I thought she vl ask y you left it , but she didn’t ask, tnx God)
vo: what will be your salary ?
me: salary as in offer latter
vo: have you visited any country for company work ?
(she was looking in to my passport, I was in canada for 4 months and have two stamp )
me: Yes mam, canada
vo: where in canada ?
me: Toronto
vo: ohh, toronto, very nice place.
vo(to my wife): When was your marriage ?
my wife: date
vo: how it was, arrange,love?
my wife: arrange,
vo: who arranged it ?
my wife: one of our relative
vo: how many people attended ?
my wife: 400+
vo: when did you see him first time before marriage ?
my wife: 6 month before marriage
vo: did you like him ?
my wife: yes
vo (to me): did you like her?
me: yes mam
vo: can I see your marriage license ?
(I think they call marriage license not marriage certificate)
we saw album to her.
vo: show me main ceremony , fire ceremony ?
me: we dont have that one, we r Muslims
she was not getting this, they pronouns it very differently,
Moslems (not Muslims), I got this when I was in Canada so
I tried to speak like that and she got it.
vo: ohhh, Moslems, right, I got it.
vo: r u going to PA , right ?
me: yes mam
vo: its very cold like Toronto
me: ohhhh, yes mam
vo: ok , hope you will enjoy your stay in US
me n wife: tnx mam
My suggestion to all those who appear in mumbai , as we all know that we need to submit docs 5 working days in advance at mumbai consulate , Thay will do the background checks and decide based on our docs , and the interview is only a formality
So put all our docs properly and answer boldly
BE CONFIDENT IN YOURSELF AND HAVE FAITH IN GOD
MAY GOD GIVE U ALL SUCESS

2) She asked me about my project details. I told her that i will come to know about my project details one i reach my employer.
3) She has issued me 221(g)which is marked all the fileds about my employer and aksed me to drop in VFS.
4)I droped all the required doc on Dec 27th.
5)I got my passports on Jan 19th with my stamping and they issed me another 221(g).
6) which is mentioned as "The petition is being returned to uscis for further review upon completion of the review USCIS will contact ur petitioner please Wait for a notification from the consulate before returning."
7) I spoke to my employer and infromed the same. It takes lot of time and chanced to get visa is very less.
8) So i am requesting any one of you can help me in this regard. How long it will take.
9) Shall i wait for the same or shall i apply for new H1 with new employer?

Hi,
I have attened interview on 25th Jan 2007. In that they have issued 221 G with some documents, in that they require one document "letter (on letterhead) from the personnel department at the U.S. job site stating that there is a vacancy for you."
We are ready with all other documents except the above document. If any one have the format of this document please email to [email protected]

Hi all this site helped me a lot and given me a greater confidence . I attended the interview on 9th nov and i was issued a 221g query asking company financial and lease and other stuff from my petisionar .. They had sent me the Docs on 6th Feb and i had submitted to VFS on 7th Feb with out including my PassPort ...

Just forget company Y and your second time visa attempt or else you will be in an unnecessary mess. An option would be to come to the US first and then transfer your H1 to company Y.
