Indian Passport

Passport renewal process was good experience for me at CKGS SFO. It took 2 weeks in total. I had Spouse Name addition and Change of Address on my new passport. Below is the timeline in reverse chronological order.

Jun 19, 2020 - Friday - Got back passport through FedEx

Jun 18, 2020 - Thursday 07:25 pm Passport picked up by FedEx.

Jun 18, 2020 - Thursday 07:23 pm Passport ‘Received’ at the CKGS application centre and is at the ‘Sorting Facility’ where it is being processed for delivery.

Jun 03, 2020 - Sent Passport through FedEx

My passport reached ckgs office on June 4th and I got back my passport on June 17th. It took 2 weeks in total. For one week there was no update, i used to check every day. On June 11th CKGS showed it as received.

I submitted my passport renewal application to SFO - CKGS. After one week of receipt, it is moved from 'verification' to the 'under process manifestation.' The next stage is 'returned.' Did anyone see this 'under process manifestation' stage highlighted as part of their passport renewal? Please post.

My visa is expiring soon while the passport renewal application is pending at embassy. Visa extension is filed but I did not send the receipt as part of my passport application as the visa was still valid at time of submitting the application. Do I need to re-do the application if the visa gets expired? Or does embassy consider some grace period after the visa expiration data?

Sent my passport Docs to Houston CKGS on 6/4. No update from them yet. The CKGS website also is not giving any info. Infact it does not recognize my Web Reference, Passport, DOB combination. It worked previously a week or so go but not now. Anyone facing the same or similar situation

In step 7 of the online passport site where it asks for "other details" it is not allowing me proceed in spite of answering all yes or no questions. Questions like Provide the following details if there are any criminal proceedings pending against the applicant, Provide the following details if the applicant has been convicted by a court in India.

I tried a fresh application too but the same result. Anyone having the same issue ? I reported to CKGS as I couldn't find any place for NRI to post their grievances

I had an WALK-IN appointment with CKGS SF office to drop the documents for my passport renewal in March.

However, due to COVID, the office was closed and I was unable to walk-in to submit my documents. I have email to all the support emails addresses available on the website, but have not received any next steps for CKGS.

I also tried to resubmit a new form for passport renewal on the website, but it says, my application is already in process based on my passport number (It assumes I submitted my documents)

Does anyone know what I should do next? Is anyone else having the same experience? If yes, did you just mail the documents to CKGS? And did that work?

Any help or direction would be great! Thank you!

Recently I sent my passport Renewal application and docs to CKGS. However, due to some issue in the front page of the govt form, CKGS updated the status "on Hold" and asking to "Please sign and resend the completed application form by post".

>>My query is, do i need to affix a photograph again?
>>if yes, it will be a different copy (as i dont have old copy) and will not match exactly with the one in "Change in Appearance Affidavit" which is already with CKGS now.So, do i need to send that "Affidavit form" also with notary along with the form?

Please suggest as they are not picking calls and replying to emails.

I sent my passport for addition of spouse name .Its been pending with NY consulate since March 18.
Anyone else also facing same delays

Did anyone apply for passport renewal at CKGS SFO after June 1st and received any updates ? I sent my package on June 4th. My account shows that my application is in processing at Embassy. Wanted to check how long does it take from now to get my passport.
