Well it was a pathetic day VO not even asked what are your specialized skills they are almost predetermined. If you are from a product based company and have some unique tools to implement for client then go for interview else postpone is for a while. And please dnt go and say you are Oracle Apps or Java expert rejection is confirmed

Questions asked:
1> Your current company exp?
2> Offshore salary?
3> US salary.

Thats it Rejected. I tried to counter him by saying I had special skills he didnt even listen to tit and said " I know it better dear."

L1b Blanket and L2 approved @ Kolkata on 18 July 2011
Hi,

My situation was unique where in my previos L1B blanket visa got expired in April 2011.
I was in the US for a total of 2 years (13 months in 2008-2009 and then 11 months in 2010-2011) in the last 3 years.

My company decided to file for L1b blanket again for me. Also, I am travelling for different client but similar project as my previous client projects.

The interview lasted for less than 2 minutes.

The following questions were asked:
1) What kind of work do you do for your company?
2) Who is your current client?
3) How is the project similar to your previous project?
4) Who will you report to ?
5) Does your manager sit at client location or your company office ?

Questions to my wife:
1) Have you been to US before ?
2) For how long?

That's it. She said your visa's are approved !!

Blanket L1B rejected at Delhi
My Blanket L1B rejected today at delhi consulate. Following is sequence of Qs the VO asked:

Q: Which company you work for?
Q: How much is your total experience with current company?
Q: Asked about my responsibility in US and the project I'll be working on?
Q: About specialized skill and how it will be used in this project?
Q: How much training time I've spent on this tool? And then asked for certificate. I didn't have one and told him since its my company's proprietary tool, we have only internal trainings for this tool. And we get only appraisal points not certificates since its not a vendor based training.
He was not convinced and told my visa is not clearly approvable as I don't have sufficient experience and gave me blue slip.

Although my total experience is 5.5 yrs but I have less than 2 yrs of experience with my company, and had no certificate of training for this tool were the reasons for rejection. And moreover the VO was an Indian guy, and they are really very fussy in approving visas.

Hope it helps....
Thanks.
