L1& L2 approved on May 10th
Firstly I would like to thank Immihelp for sharing their exps.
The questions asked were:
1) Why are you going to US?
2) What is your role?
3) Your team size?
Questions for L2 applicant
1) When is your marriage date?

One tip I would like to suggest here is please take all your documents in a transparent folder only. else even before entering the consulate, security will ask to leave the queue and change the cover.

Inside the consulate , there are people to help in the process of submitting documents and guides candidates to the correct counter.

So all the best and be calm!

L1-A Approved
Dear All,

Thank you for sharing your experience, it helped me prepare for my visa interview. Keeping with the tradition of immihelp, I am sharing my experience. Hope it helps.

VO: Good Morning (with a measured smile)
Me: Good Morning ma'am

VO: (looks at my passport) So you have travelled to the US?
Me: Yes Ma'am

VO: What Visa?
Me: L1-B

(At this point, she gets down and consults another VO adjacent to her and then gets back to her seat. Not sure what was discussed or if there was a concern)

VO: How long with current company?
Me: 7.5 years now

VO: How many years of management experience?
Me: 3 years

VO: Where would you be going to in the US?
Me: City, State

VO: How many people would report to you?
Me: 20

VO: What would you be doing in the US?
Me: I would be managing multiple projects from 2 portfolios. I will be responsible for the delivery of those projects and managing the employees from my company

VO: Multiple projects, how many are we talking about here?
Me: 3-4
VO: Ok

VO: So tell me something about your project
Me: I gave a 1-2 line desription and then reiterated that my role would be to ensure successful project delivery. I did not think that delving into the technical aspects of a project was relevant for L-1 A

VO: What is your total IT experience?
Me: 7.5 years
VO: Oh OK, so in your current company
Me: Yes ma'am

VO: What is your per annum?
Me: Sorry ma'am I did not get it
VO: (repeats) Per annum, your salary?
Me: In Inidan Rupees?
VO: Yes
Me: 1 million something
VO: (smiles) in US dollars please
Me: 86K
VO: (Lets out a small smile)

At this point she proceeded to pick up her seal, I was more or less certain that she was going to say the golden words.

VO: Ok, your visa is approved, you will get your passport in 5 days
Me: Thank you ma'am
VO: Thank you

Going through Immihelp forums helped a lot. I do not have any word of advice other than saying that reading forum experiences are a great way to prepare for the interview. All the best !

L1B Approved, chennai - interview on 23 may
I want to thank this forum intiative and comments posted. this helped me a lot to get through my interview.
At the enterance they will check the appoinment date and time; will provide the token.
First is the security check, second is the hdfc receipt valiation and receival at the counter.Later the finger prints counter and then i was asked to move to vias lobby.
At the visa lobby asked to get in to cash counter. cheques were received and asked to get in the main visa hall.

Over there i was called by the token and got in to the counter.

Me: Greeted the VO, "Hello sir. good morning and how are you doing today?"
VO: he greeted me back
Me: gave my documents
VO: purpose of ur trip?
Me: i started then he stoped after few words
Vo: Total experience
Me: 4 years and 10 months
VO: your client
Me: ZZZ
VO: What did you do in your last trip? and how long u were there?
Me: explained him in few words

VO: later he wrote some thing on my i 129 and said he is approving my visa; and i will revice it in less than a week time.
Me: Thank you soo much and have a good day :)

here are small tips which helped me to clear it:

· be patient when you wait in the counter

· be confident and don’t over hear others conversation ( body language matters a lot)

· be cool and when you speak to the office speak to him in eye contact

· unless you are called don’t step in to the counter

· prepare well and answer to the point; make sure that BEP and i129 contents are correct.

L1B (Blanket) Approved at Kolkata Consulate on 18th May
I got my L1B(Blanket) VISA approved at Kolkata consulate on 18th May.

First Thanks a lot to IMMIHELP forum. It is really very helpful

Me: Good Morning Sir
VO: How are you
VO: Your client "xyz" is big company and they already have many skilled employees in US. Why they selected you for this assignment?
Me: My Company works as a partnership mode with client "xyz". My company provides solution to their biz problem. Then explained my specialization which provides solution to their current biz problem.
VO: What will be your Roles and Responsibilities at the client site?
Me: Explained my roles & responsibilities.(Note:It should be same as mentioned in Justification Letter)
VO: What is your specialization
Me: Explained about my project specific tool & domain knowledge.
VO: What is your total experience
Me: X years and Y Months
VO: How many years you are working in this company?
Me: X years and Y Months
VO: What is your highest qualification
Me: "PQR".....
VO: Who is your previous employer?
Me: "abc"....
VO: He typed something on key board and started stamping on I-129s...
then the golden word "Your visa is approved" ...
Me: Thank you so much sir (With a smile :)

My Suggestion:

1. All L1B Blanket interview: 2 imp Question- what is ur specialization and why you.
2. Getting VISA is purely based on luck and please prepare well and rest leave fro GOD.
3. If possible visit "Chilkur Balaji Temple " in Hyderabad before your visa interview. Its for sure your visa will be approved.. thats why its called as "VISA Temple".

All the very best.
