Hi, I attended the inteview few weeks back, but was not able to post my experience immediately, so doing it now. First I would like to thank this website as it helped me a lot in preparing for the interview. I have given the interview questions below.
Me) Good morning sir
VO) no answer. (Dont get tensed when this happens, just concentrate on the interview).

A few suggestions -
Your answers must be short and up to the point. If you dont understand VO's question, ask him/her to repeat it.
The VO may not be looking at you, but look at his/her face always and answer the questions.
Even if you dont have a perfect answer for a question, keep your cool and answer confidently.
Prepare well for the two main question , your specialization and why you were selected from your team.

I am really thankful to Immihelp for providing such a platform.
I have attended the interview at Hyderabad Consulate on 16th May and I am happy that my visa has been approved.
Questions with Consular Officer,
1. Which company you work for?
A> XYZ company.
2. How long have you been working?
A> 13 months
3. Whoz your client?
A> 13 months, since i have joined XYZ company.
4. Where is your client located?
A> ABC, USA
5. What is the business they do?
A> explain in 2 crisp sentences.
6. What will you do to XYZ company?
A> i explained about my tool and how it is useful to the client. Probably the officer didnt understand the actual business and asked me next question.
7. What is the end product after you work for XYZ company?
A> i explained him that, we are using a tool which integrates all modules of his business and which makes there business grow.
8. Explain about the tool you are using?
A> Gave the abbreviation and explained in 2 sentences.
9. What is the team size?
A> I have already prepared for this question and answered total team is of 60 including all modules and 5 members specific to my module.
10. Your company is so big, then why are they sending you?
A> As i have told you, i have been working with this client from starting. pertaining to my module, we are 5 including me. one of them is a offshore team lead and he cannot go onsite and the other 3 members are freshers who just got trained on the tool.
Again he asked which place r u going and when i replied he said "that place is like mumbai in india". I just smiled and told i would love going to United States of America.
He said enjoy your journey, I am approving your VISA.
My suggestion here is, just be prepared for the questions being posted on this forum and you can do it very easily. Basic funda would be, BE PREPARED.

I had my PA couple of hours before. Following is the conversation i had with VO
VO: How are you Sir?(Surprisingly he wished me before i Could)
Me: I am fine Sir.Thank you. how are you?
VO: Give me your red file.
VO: How many yrs u r wid XYZ Company?
Me: X yrs and Y Months (< 5Years )
VO: Why are you travelling to US?
Me: I am travelling to US to work on one projet for one of our clients,on be half of my Company.
VO: Whats your specialisation?
Me: Expety in ABC Technology and XYZ Domain.
VO: She laughed and said don't give me the same answer what your Company fellows do?
Me: I smiled back(As though I am completely different from Others).
VO: She smiled and stressed me upon my specialisation.
Me: I said my specis the exp I had on client Systems.
VO: Your Team size?
Me: Onsite 5 and offshore 12
VO: why you are chosen from 12?
Me: Becuase of the exp i have in these kind of projects, and the exp ones in my Team already in US.
VO: She typedsomething on key boardand started stampingsomething on the files ihave given.
VO:Finally the golden words came out from her
"Sir you VISA is processed and you will get your passport in 6 Working days"
Me: Thanks a TON(with a big smile on my face)
Note: Eye 2 Eye Contact with VO is key. Never take off your eyes while talking. Speak confidently and clearly.Take your time. Dont rush. Ask again if you dont understand VO's questions.Be patient while waiting in Queue.

Note: when he said just 15 months , i thought its gone, but i maintained the same confidence.
Apart from this, there are various other factors VO looks in applicant, I had travelled to 3 eurpoean countries and US, so it was not a difficult decisin for VO.

L1B visa experience
I was tensed going into the interview hearing cases of L1B being rejected because of too many travels & longer duration of travels on B1 visa.
Everyone in front of me on the counter was asked the same introductory questions: have you traveled to US before? on which visa and how long was the duration of stay - I answered these questions in calm by providing approximate duration and not specific ones. The rest of questions were regarding specialization, how many people have the same specialization, pay in US and the reporting manager.

A. Mention as much as you can(clear and crisp) If VO satisfies, he won't go to technical again.

L1 Individual After Blanket

L1B - Approved , L2 - Approved (stamping pending due to Damaged Passport) @ HYD
Hi,
Ours is a different experience and very few will under go this.
My wife has applied for L1B and myself on L2.
We got our interview in Hyderabad consulate on May 10th.
Our interview time was at 8:15Am, we reached the place around 7:15 AM.
No Parking place near Hyd Consulate so better plan your self well in advance. Better be early as People won’t enter / stand as per the timings…don’t panic even if you are late they will allow you. If you have kids (you are blessed) no waiting time in the line you can pass through the first security gate directly.
After First security check there will be 2 lines inside the Consulate (1.) To the BEP counter – If you have to collect the docs / DD incase if your company has submitted it. 2). Line 2 if you are carrying all the docs by your self - Security will guide you )
Note:- Please don’t go with full khajana (Specially for ladies – bangles, jewels’ etc) – They will make you to remove in the security check in Gate 2.
After security check you have to get in and they will guide to the counter no ..we went to counter no 8 and gave the DD and docs , he gave a receipt for the same and guided us to go to counter 9.
After collecting the same you have to give the finger prints and need to collect the Token no in the waiting area and wait for your token no.
Here comes the main interview by VO.
VO :- Hi, Good Morning , How are you doing.
Me:- Good Morning mam..thnx ..how are you doing today ?
VO :- Good..thnx, How long have you been working with the current Company ?
Me :- 39 Months.
Vo:- What is your Role
Me :- Explained about my role.
Vo:- Who is your client.
Me :- YYYY X
Vo:- How long have you been working with the client.
Me :- 36 Months.
Vo:- What are your specialized skills
Me :- xxxxxx
Vo:- How many people are working on this.
Me.:- YYYY X
L2 – Husband ( Myself).
Vo:- How long have you been married ?
Me :- 6 Months
VO :- Love marriage / Arranged marriage ?
Me :- Arranged and then love marriage … with a smile.
VO :- hahahaha…
Then comes the golden words …. Ma’m your Visa is approved and Sir your visa is also approved but we can’t allow you to US as your Passport lamination has come out.. so it’s a damaged passport please come back with new passport and go to VFS center and apply for the same. No need to come for the interview again..its already approved.
Points to be noted :-
1) Don’t Panic through out the process.. be cool.
