Citizenship Interview questions regarding Kids
Hi,

I have my citizenship interview been scheduled in few weeks from now. I have one specific question
regarding kids and need your experiences. My kids are US citizens and currently they are living with their grandparents(out of USA).
During citizenship interview:
1. Will the officer ask about the kids? What questions we can expect.
2. Are there any questions regarding where they are staying? or any other questions.
3. Is it a good idea that I have to bring my kids back to USA before the interview?

Please share me your experiences.

Thanks in Advance
gcpro

N400 application experience!
My experience in Boston. MA

January 27, 2019 , submitted the application for neutralization
February 22 ,2019 , Fingerprints
April 23, 2019 , Appointment schedule
May 29,2019 , Interview and my application was approved and I received the oath ceremony letter with the date and time 15 mins later.
June 6th, will be the oath ceremony .

The IO officer was really nice, she was a little confused about the date my green card was approved, she called a supervisor, the sup cheeked my information in the system and then she said to the IO officer, she is good.
She asked me about 6 civics questions. I answered all the questions correctly, she asked about my personal information, and then she said Congratulations, I sent your application for approval. I noticed another IO office was checking my application again in other computer , and the the same day, about 15 minutes later she gave me the paper with the oath ceremony date, time and location.
I was very nervous, I was expecting a really rude IO officer, but she was very nice and friendly.

Be honest and you will be fine.

Confusion about interview.
Filed 08/17/2018
Biometrics: 09/08/2018
Interview: Scheduled for July 1st, 2019. BUT

I live about 35 minutes from Atlanta. The people that I have known that have filed for citizenship get their interview scheduled in Atlanta, BUT I received my notice and it says I have to go to South Carolina. Has this ever happened to anyone else???? I asked my attorney if that was normal. All she could say was "I'm not sure why this happend but we can request for it to be moved to the Atlanta office and it will delay your interview and I'm not sure for how long. And since it's in South Carolina I can't go with you because it's to far" 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I'm going ahead and going to South Carolina don't want to prolong this, but I'm just confused on why I have to go to South Carolina if I live in Georgia🤔🤔☹ So has this happened to anyone else???

Big move in estimate dates? :(
Sadly 5-6 months for california might be a thing of the past....

My case had a Completion Date of December 2019....it moved to Completion May 2020.... :((( such a bad move in wrong direction....hope it swings again....

Wonder why such a big move...after the estimate...had been doing down month by month steadily...

Anyone knows of a specific reason a case move all of a sudden move 6 months later?
I guess there is nothing to do but wait...

Priority date: 5/25/18. I applied under the 90-day eligibility criteria for a 3-year marriage to a citizen. We were actually married in 2009, but I didn't apply for/get a GC until August 2015. We had 2 kids at the time of application, just added the 3rd child a few months ago. Almost all our property is under both of our names: mortgage, 2 (out of 3) cars, bank accounts. We've also filed joint tax returns since we got married and I've kept return transcripts for all the years.

Fingerprints: 6/22/18
Interview: 5/23/19. The IO was very courteous and calm. Started with the civics test (I can't even remember all the questions). But I answered all 6 correct and she moved on to the English test. Went through the application and updated all the new info: my wife and I have had another baby and I've graduated from college since the priority date.
No legal issues since I got my GC- I only had a PBJ for DUI in 2010, and I presented all the relevant paperwork when I applied for GC in 2015. 2 international trips in 2015 and 2016, both totaling just over 20 days.
The IO recommended approval after the interview, and I received an update on 5/24 that my application had been approved.
Received an update on Saturday 5/25 that my Oath Ceremony had been scheduled.

5/28- Oath Ceremony document (N-445) uploaded. I don't think they will mail me a copy because of the short notice between now and the ceremony.

Oath Ceremony- 6/5/19. Just a week away. I'm really excited that everything has worked out well.

Good luck to everyone else who is patiently waiting.

Waiting for Oath Ceremony letter after interview
Filed date: 6/16/17
Receipt date: ?
Biometrics: 6/28/17
Interview schedule notice: 2/1/18
Interview: 3/12/18

Hello all, I'm hoping to get some insights/answers from those of you who had experienced same situation as me... and/or professionals. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated!

My N400 interview was on 3/12/18. After successfully completing the interview, the interview officer instructed me to bring in supporting documentations - specifically "DMV abstract" (driving record from DMV) and "court disposition" (which was a letter from DMV) - for dismissal of 'traffic ticket" I stated on my application. I submitted all of these on the next day – 3/13/18.

My concern is that there has been NO updates made online since my interview (it still shows my original interview schedule notice). I've made several requests to USCIS based on the grounds that my "case is taking longer than normal processing time" (4 times via website portal and one through a phone-call with a representative). All these requests are found to be documented and reflected on my online account. Unfortunately, answers have been very generic: "We are still reviewing your case. We will mail you a notice when we make a decision".

Is this an unusual? Any ideas why they are taking this long to review my case? I am a 9-5 full-timer and have been paying my taxes ever since. My personal record is clean, never was convicted of misdemeanor or any unlawful activities. Only thing I have is 2 points on my driver's record from nearly 5 years ago, which I'm certain doesn't count against my record anymore. Aforementioned dismissed ticket was decided by the court that I was found not guilty - it doesn't even show on my record (abstract).

I know this has been long read, but thank you for reading this far. I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Sincerely,

Jon
