changing address
Hi,
I got an updated from USCIS saying that they schedule my interview, and I changed my address on the same day as well ( 08/28/17). And I didnt receive any letter in my mail yet since then. Does anybody know how long it's going to take to receive the interview notice in mail after changing address when they've already schedule an interview for me. Thank you!

Long Road
Hi everyone I just would like to share my experience and hopefully it could help someone aspiring to be a U.S. citizen.
I sent my application July 28, 2016 and got a confirmation that it was accepted on August 2nd. On August 6 I was scheduled for biometrics. I waited from August 2016 until Feb 22nd when I got my interview notice for an April 6 interview. The interview went well and I thought I was approved for recommendation but unfortunately a decision cannot be made because "I need to provide a proof of child support."

For a start, both my two kids are in the Philippines studying. They do not have legal papers yet to come here but still I was asked to show proof of child support. So for anyone applying for naturalization and have kids in their home country don't forget to bring a copy of remittances be it via Western Union or any bank as long as you have proof that you are supporting your kids.

Back to my case, on April 28, 2017 I got an RFE (Request For Evidence) letter from USCIS. What I did was ask Western Union to provide me a copy of my remittance since 2009. By May 15, 2017 my lawyer submitted my proof of child support and I thought it'd be a short adjudication since they only asked for one document. I have waited from May 15 'til August 31 to get an update saying I was my N400 application was approved and on the next day September 1 my online account was updated again that the Oath of Ceremony letter was mailed. It was a long and arduous process but Im almost at the finish line.

During the interview just tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Declare any traffic violations if you have any and if you have kids in your home country make sure you get your proof of child support before going to the interview.

I wish everyone all the best. Just persevere. You will get there. With God's help :)

Hi, I filed my n400 on 8/26 online and received a receipt notice in the mail 8/30 stating I would get another letter with a biometrics appnt. How do I find which field office is processing my case? the letter I received has a Overland Park, KS address on it, but when I type in my zipcode it says Philadelphia, and if I had filed via snail mail I would've sent it to Chicago. I'm lost!

My timeline thus far - Santa Ana, CA
Hi everyone,

I just wanted to post my N-400 journey's timeline thus far, as I know all of us have relatively the same amount of anxiety about the whole process so hopefully the more we can all share, the more we can feel settled!

My process has been surprisingly fairly quick! I was expecting long waits especially since it seems like all the offices are super backed up. But, here's my quick background and timeline to date:

- Been a permanent resident since 1998

- Got a misdemeanor DUI in 2013 and received a 3 year probation in 2014

- Hired an immigration attorney (I know I technically don't need one, but I also know that the naturalization process is long and unpredictable, so I wanted to be safer than sorry)

- Sent in application end of May 2017

- Application received 6/6/17

- PD 6/4/17

- Biometrics notice date 6/9/17

- Biometrics appointment date 6/30/17

- Interview notice date 9/1/17 (via email)

I am now just waiting for the letter to come in the mail and I suspect that my interview date would be the end of this month/early October as it seems like there's about a month difference from when you receive your first notification.

Between my biometrics appointment being completed up until now, I just kept getting email notifications saying "your case is still being reviewed and there are no updates at this time". I honestly just stopped worrying about it and figured I would get my interview notification at the end of year.

So hopefully if all goes to plan and I pass my interview, that would make my process roughly 5 months or so (not including oath ceremony).

I hope this helps and good luck to everyone!

Recap of my N400 app.
Finally got a "oath ceremony was mailed" on 9-1-17 after a year. I was bit nervous because of taxes I owed and an arrest that was taken place arrest 7 years ago. Finally this process is almost all over with.

How long does it take to get oath ceremony letter?
I was recommended for approval at my interview which was over a month ago. How long does it normally take to get an oath ceremony letter and is it possible I wasn't approved somehow in the final process? The officer told me I was approved at my interview and told me my oath ceremony letter would probably be in the mail within a couple of weeks. Starting to get anxious now.

South Portland MAINE
Hello everyone,

I would like to share my experience (that just started) with you

App Submitted 7/30/2017
Fingerprints scheduled 8/10/2017
Fingerprints done(SoPo MAINE office) 8/24/2017
Still waiting for the next step

My question is: Has any of you done this in the same office? if so, what's the estimated wait time in my region before interview is scheduled?
also, my application was submitted based on my 7 years marriage (to present) and I have been in the US for 5 years already, does the fact that I could've applied for citizenship two years ago but I never did affect my application in a positive or negative way at all?

Thank you all for your helpful posts
