Finally it is almost over
Yesterday, I and my wife had our n-400 interview at Charlotte. Our interview was at 10.20 but we were taken little late. It was a really busy place. We got the green card under EB1 category and we both were interviewed separately by two different IOs. The process is usual: Oath, reading, writing, civic and going over the N-400. Both of our IOs are nice and very professional. Within 10 minutes we were done. Actually my wife's interview was done even before I was taken inside. After the interview we both were asked to stay in the waiting room to get a oath ceremony date, if supervisor approved our cases. As I was predicted, since we were interviewed by two IOs, I got the ceremony on 14th at Charlotte and my wife got the ceremony at Winston Salem on 23rd. Actually I was joking to my wife that was the last thing I want. Then we talk to the lady who brought those final papers and she just changed my date/ venue to Winston Salem. Overall, we are extremely happy. What a journey!!!

Orlando, FL

Applied 11-03-2016

Finger P 11-28-2016

From that day until I'm still waiting for an interview.
I submitted a request to the uscis and they wrote back to me saying, Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing.

Anyone from Orlando experiencing the same situation?

What the hell going on in Orlando ? Lol

Your thoughts folks

New Orleans interview scheduled
Applied 12-26-16 after 4 yrs 9 months green card. Both my wife and I applied together. 2-2-17 her biometric appt and mine was on 2-3-17. On 2-2 I asked if I can have my biometric done also instead of waiting until 2-3-17. The girl easily said yes.

2-6 case in line for interview

Called uscis 2x- answer both times was to wait- still within normal processing time.

8-7 did infopass- told just have to wait again.guy told us they were doing interviews that day for people who had biometric early december2016. Since my biometric was 2 months later in February 2017, he believed my interview would be 2 months away which means I should get letter early September for interview early October. He was right.

Today 9-6-17 status changed to interview scheduled- unsure of date but probably 3-4 weeks from now.

Let's see.

Read if you application is stuck in processing for an year
Hello All:

If your application is stuck for over an year after your fingerprinting or interview is done and you have a clean record, you need to file for mandamus ASAP. Calling USCIS and raising service requests, contacting congressman/woman, senator, or ombudsman will give you no help whatsoever. Count my words on this and save yourself from the misery. Get a good immigration attorney and file for mandamus asap.

Good luck!
