Interview was schedulaed 7/25/2017
Received interview notice 7/29/2017
Interview Scheduled 8/31/2017
Oath Scheduled 9/7/2017

My appointment scheduled at 9:15, the security did not allow me to check in until 8:50. I was called to the interview at 9:30. The IO was not nice at all, very tough, did not look at me during the entire interview. I tried to break the ice between me and her but it seemed like she are not friendly at all.
She started with the reading and writing.
Reading: When is the Columbus day?
writing: Columbus day is in October.
then she started asking the question, 6 question were very easy to answer.
the worst moment at all when we came to the application questions. She took too much time went

over every single question, which stressed me. At the end I asked to change my address, she tried to make it online but failed then she asked me to go online and change it by myself. then asked me to review the information that will show in the Certificate. Also asked me to sign the 2 pics I submitted with the application, however she took pic for me and fingerprint after taking oath. at the end she asked me to stay outside to get the Oath letter without even saying congratulation.

Any question from you.

My application was pretty fast compared to other people, until now.

PD: Jun. 9th
Interview: Aug. 10th
Oath: ???

My application was approved and has been waiting for oath ceremony schedule since Aug. 10th. From all the other posts I've seen, oath scheduling is the fastest part. Called USCIS and they told me to wait 90 days first. I know my process has been real smooth and fast, so I shouldn't complain, but still... I'm impatient :(

Passport Application
Hello everyone!
When I was checking passport application online, it ask about our parents, and their DOB which are optional.
Do you think it would hurt my passport application if I DONT fill in their DOB. any suggestions or tips would be great help.

Case Status
Hello.

Is the wording for the case status always standard / the same as follows?
Anybody has different wording?

"Case Is In Line For An Interview"

"On August 28, 2017, we started the interview scheduling process for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number NBC*xxxxxxxxx. We will send you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Just curious.

Thank you.

Day 118 - 06/16/2017 Interview letter received
Day 151 - 07/18/2017 Interview - "Decision cannot be made"

Had my interview last month at Federal Plaza. The interview was kind of cold and went through my application and asked the standard question. Asked for proof of marital unity, and I told her it didn't say anything about that in the interview letter except for the tax returns and tax transcripts which I brought with me. She went through my paperwork again and asked why do I have my old address on the taxes, and I told her that we've been doing our taxes there since we got married and the accountant never bothered to change the address (because we were living at my wife's uncle's place first across the street and we still have access to the mail there). She said she is not able to give me a decision and has 120 days to make one.

Scheduled a couple of InfoPass appointments after that and was told that I have to wait the 120 days.

I have contacted the Ombudsmand office and my state senator. Anyone else going through the same thing? Is there anything else that can be done but wait?

Social security and the drivers license
Tomorrow is my oath ceremony and my name will be changed as well. Now my question is
should I go to the Soc Sec office right after the oath ceremony to update the info?

How about the driver's license?

What about the passport?

Any quick reply will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
