I-400 Citzenship NYC- Brooklyn
Good evening every one, I've never post anything before but this web site has been really hellpfull true my journey.
And I made a promise if every thing goes perfect and finally I can say i am American citizen and I just receive my USA dreamed passport yesterday.

I hope my experience and time lines can help someone else's.
I which from the bottom of my hard the best of luck from everyone!!

I've applied true my married, in NYC after words I've move to Brooklyn Nyc when I have my naturalization ceremony.

I've started my process in NJ in 2013, for my first green card I haven't experience any delays, for my 10 years green card I-751 almost 15m waiting them finally arrive this year in begging of may. All this process I've done in NJ- NYC.

My case was Received on January 20th 2016, and my green card only arrives in may 2017.

I-400- I've start my process in NYC then move to Brooklyn NYC.

Here are timelines:
03/03/17 - form N-400 was mailed via USPS with tracking #
03/07/17 - We received Yout form N-400 Application for Naturalization
03/15/17 - we have scheduled you for finger print
Move to Brooklyn summit my moving request in uscis before I've move to my new place

05/31/2017- Case in line for interview
06/26/2017 - interview was scheduled
08/01/2017- interview schedule and pass the interview I've been interviewed in NYC, really please Asian office. My interview was 5 minutes. Shes was serious but pleasant all the time, shes ask me the questions, afterwords she ask me for prove then I'm still married I've bring so much paper work whit me, she's only want my new lease, a couple of bank statements, con Edison and At&t bills and done. I've offer to give her more paper work shes don't want to take it.
Shes said I have submit every already and is this is just to proved we still married after the process of naturalization starts.

08/14/2017- oath ceremony will be scheduled
09/15/2017 - Oath ceremony notice was mailed
By the way, I've receive my notice on Monday night and my ceremony was schedule for 08/30/2017. The Nextel Wednesday at 8:30am.

I was so worry about what I need to bring with me for my oath ceremony here in Brooklyn and I haven't been able to find any information online, I've take with me me all my paper work, nobody ask me for anything.

I've arrived at 8:20 really good to be there at the time of you ceremony don't arrive to early is a long wait.
You can't take your cell phone whit you, you pick it up when you leave the Buiding.
The place is gorgeous, was around 300 people for my ceremony date.
You need to waith until every one is in the room, for the ceremony starts. This take at least one hour.
After we are all sit, then ask each of us to take off our letter of appointment.
After their ask one by one to bring the letter plus the green card in the order and line you are siting.
They ask you if you bring any other support documents I just said no, like every one else's and came back to my seat.
After every one complete this step, we waith to the judge to be call.
The judge was Pleasant then name all the country's in the room, shes gave a 5 minutes speed and shes left.
Was really fast.
After words you are called again by line where you siting to came back to take your sty certificate and you can leave after words.
I've left the building around 12pm, because I was on the 1 line to be called, and I've arrived only 10 minutes before my ceremony schedule time.

If anyone lives in Brooklyn NYC, pay close attention in your dates for you don't risk to miss your ceremony.
After my Ceremony, I whent to the post office one block away (I don't recoment anyone to go there, is such a long waith)and just receive my passport express yesterday in the mail.

I am so happy, after all this years we, only we know how hard, how many nights of worry, sleepiness, but every journey comes to the end. And this is the end of my.
Best of luck to everyone!!!!

Baltimore, Maryland field office N-400 Application
I have been following updates of people's cases here but yet to see anybody post from Baltimore, MD filed office. This site is a very useful and good tool to calm and sometime raise ones hope.

Here are timelines:
05/02/17 - form N-400 was mailed via USPS with tracking #
05/09/17 - We received Yout form N-400 Application for Naturalization
05/15/17 - we have scheduled you for finger print
06/06/17 - Finger print was done at ASC
06/06/17 - status changed to "We started interview scheduling process for your N-400 Application for naturalization".

I've been a permanent resident for 14 years and has been married to a US citizen for 17 years with 3 children. No arrest or criminal background and no driving tickets.

Since my last status of 06/06/17, I haven't seen any other update to my case. Is there anyone from the Baltimore Maryland area that can attest to same. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. I see other field offices moves quite rapidly.

Thank you,
Xcuzme70

Delaware resident and Philadelphia Field Office
I do appreciate everyone on this forum whom I have read their posts or contributions, they have all prepared me thus far. However, I realize state of Delaware folks have not posted experiences here and I want to believe my experience can help others most especially Delaware residents.
TIMELINE (My wife and I)
- 04/03/17: N-400 Fedex to Dallas Texas
- 04/05/17: Application Received
- 04/05/17: Priority Date
- 04/17/17: Notice of acceptance Received in mail
- 04/18/17: Biometrics schedule (Dover support office)
- 05/05/17: Biometrics Complete
- 05/09/17: Case in Line for Interview
- 08/03/17: Interview was scheduled
-09/08/17: Interview Date (Philadelphia field office)
-09/15/17: Oath Ceremony

We both filled N-400 which is NBC based and 6 years 4 months green card holder. We have 2 kids, one born overseas and we were processed at the same time all through as shown in the timeline.

 INTERVIEW

Both interviews were slated for 10:35 am, we arrived 30 min earlier and checked in to different IO’s. I was called in exactly 10:15am (Please be aware that you could be called once you are checked in especially if it’s not a busy day.
My IO asked for my driver’s license, appointment letter and passports to check corresponding travel overseas. I took the civic test as below

1. What are the two parts of the US congress
2. Who is the commander in Chief of the military
3. What are the two major political party in the US
4. There are thirteen original states,; name 3
5. Who wrote the declaration of independence ( I missed it)
6. Name one war fought by the US in the 1800s
7. Name one state that borders Mexico

After that was oral and written tests. She asked me to stand up to swear to tell the truth and went through my N-400 form thoroughly.
She congratulated me and asked where I would like to take my oath with options of October in Wilmington Delaware or September 15 right there in Philadelphia field office and quickly opted for September 15th which is a week later ( worthy of note: Delaware Sate folks can take oath in Philadelphia). My IO asked me to wait at the lobby to collect my oath ceremony appointment.

My wife was not called until 10:35 am hence, I was able to share my experience with her. Her IO told her he could see I was scheduled for oath and if she would like the same time and date which she affirm to positively and also got her oath ceremony appointment letter.

USCIS office has parking for $12 which is cheaper than every other parking around in University of Pennsylvania.

I wish everyone in this naturalization journey all the best.

Finally it is almost over
Yesterday, I and my wife had our n-400 interview at Charlotte. Our interview was at 10.20 but we were taken little late. It was a really busy place. We got the green card under EB1 category and we both were interviewed separately by two different IOs. The process is usual: Oath, reading, writing, civic and going over the N-400. Both of our IOs are nice and very professional. Within 10 minutes we were done. Actually my wife's interview was done even before I was taken inside. After the interview we both were asked to stay in the waiting room to get a oath ceremony date, if supervisor approved our cases. As I was predicted, since we were interviewed by two IOs, I got the ceremony on 14th at Charlotte and my wife got the ceremony at Winston Salem on 23rd. Actually I was joking to my wife that was the last thing I want. Then we talk to the lady who brought those final papers and she just changed my date/ venue to Winston Salem. Overall, we are extremely happy. What a journey!!!
