B2 Visa at Karachi Counsulate
Assalamualikum,

I'm 28 Male, I applied with my wife & 2 year old daughter for B2 Visa.

our interview was scheduled at 9:30 am. we reached there at 9.
After security check, we were called in for documents check and to be given token number. And there comes a problem, My wife does hijaab and her ears were hidden in the picture. A official guy confirmed from inside that this picture will not be accepted. They said if you'll come back till 11, we're going to take your interview. I went back and got back by 10:40 am.

The official guy gave me the token number instantly and ask me to wait for token number to be called. He asked the interview language as well and I said English.

Our token number called, he checked my height and took finger prints. He saw the face of my wife and took her finger prints as well.

After 1 and a half hour our token number called for the interview, that's how it goes.

VO: Hi , How Are you ?
ME: We're fine Sir. Thanks

VO: What is your purpose to visit US ?
ME: Sir, We want to go there for tourism and to have some family time out.

VO: Where will u be going ?
ME: We'll be visiting some east cost cities like orlando, Boston, Washington & Newyork,

VO: Who do you live with ?
ME: I live with my wife and my daughter. My family is in Kenya and My Father, mother and younger brother is kenyan passport holder. My elder brother is going to get the passport this year as well. I couldn't go there because no one is here to lookafter the business.

VO: Who do you want to see there ? ( Trick question )
ME: No one. I'm for sight seeing and pleasure. I don't know anybody there. I'll be booking a complete 2 week package.

VO: What is this ( my company name ) ?
ME: This is a import export company and we mainly deals in textile and furniture.

VO: Are you a Broker ? ( Trick Question )
ME: No Sir. I'm a proprietor of this company and we directly buy from manufacturers and then export.

VO: Who do you buy from ?
ME: named 4-5 manufactures

VO: Who do you sell to ?
ME: My father has a private ltd company in kenya. I sell some goods to them and other than that I've some direct buyers in kenya and dubai.

and then he kept typing for 10 mins and said " Your application is APPROVED ". You'll get the email from where you'll collect it.

No question was asked from my wife.
I hope this interview will help others who has got no one in US and want to go there for tourism.
Be yourself and Be Honest.

The guy who took my interview took almost 25 interviews before me and rejected almost 20.

Good Luck :)

B2 visa rejected with 214b Jeddah,Saudi Arabia
Hi all.

Me and my wife were interviewed today by an officer. Rejected under 214B. The below questions were asked:
a)How long i have been in Saudi( for both)
- Since birth
b)What is my work
-Claims Evaluation Supervisor
c)Places visited by us
-India, Dubai
d)Family in US( both)
-My Sister
-My wife's Aunt( mother of the groom)
e) Are they citizens
-My Sister -No. Green Card.
-My wife's Aunt .Yes.
f)My Salary
XX,ZZZ
g) How many Children?
-One son
A few questions were asked as mentioned above, however the purpose of our trip was not asked for , and it was a genuine reason, as mentioned in the attached wedding invite.
No time during the interview did the officer inquire about our strong ties, nor any documents to prove the same.

Apart from the personalized invitation letter from the groom the following documents were available with me.
-Wedding Invite
-Employment verification letter
-Bank Statements for last 7 months
-Pay Slips for last 3 months
-Credit Card Statements for last 3 months
-Hotel Booking Confirmation
-Trip Plan
-Flights Plan
-Family Tree indicating that my parents and brother's family are in Saudi Arabia. Also, my sister who is in US( married to my cousin who is a US citizen) would be in Jeddah at the time of my visit.
-Flight tickets confirmation for my sister and her children was also available, confirming that they would be in Jeddah.
-Proof that my parents are in Saudi Arabia & process underway for them to be transferred under my sponsorship.
My wife is especially disheartened as she really wanted to be part of the wedding celebrations. Though we would like to apply again, we are really skeptical , since this happen again in the next interview as well. Especially since all the above question/documents were not even requested, to rule out the immigration aspect.
If you feel we made a mistake somewhere, appreciate if you could mention that. Otherwise , we have a feeling that even though our application was genuine, we will always be rejected as we have relatives in US. We have no intention of staying in US as we have a broad family here in Jeddah, and I have a stable, satisfying job & my parents are dependent on me.

i have a strong feeling that we were rejected just cuz my sister is there in US and my wife's aunt is also there.

B2 Visa - Will it get approved with this information?
Hello everyone,

I will be applying for a B2 in a couple of weeks. I live in Kolkata, India. I am a 28 year old single female. I was invited to visit Chicago for 3 weeks by a co-worker & his wife. He was recently in Kolkata to do some training to us.

His invite letter specifies the dates & places we will tour. I will be staying with him & his wife during my 3 week stay. Here in Kolkata I have a fiance, I live with & take care of my parents, I have a full time job & I am financially secure.

I am a little nervous about all of this. What are my chances of getting a B2 tourist visa so I can make this trip? I read a lot of success stories, but also a lot of denials.

Any information would really help a lot.

Thank you

B2 Visitor Visa Approved for Parents
Hello Everyone,

My Parents got their B2 visa approved on 4/14/2015 but was little busy so couldn't share the experience. Special thanks to Immihelp for proper guidance and detailed information on each and every step. In my case, I was very hopeless as my parents visa was rejected multiple times( Dad rejected 3 time and Mom rejected 5 times).

This time the whole procedure was so easy and smooth. They had bio metric appointment on 13th and interview on 14th April 8:00 AM They finished their bio metric session and received bar code labeled on passport which means they have cleared the fingerprint and photo section.

The next day, they reached the consulate earlier around 7:30 AM. The interview was in Gujarati language and most of the question's answer was given by mom as father have some health issue.

When my parents reached inside they said " Namaste" but don't know if VO responded or not..

VO : why you want to go to USA ?
A: To visit USA and meet my son.

VO: What is doing in USA ?
A. He works as YYYY in YYYY company.

VO : what are you doing ?
A. Mom answered according as she was taking care of my younger brother's daughter and home maker.

VO. How many kids you have ?
A. Mom answered 3,

VO. Are they all in USA ?
A. No, One in USA and 2 in India.

VO(asked to Dad) : what are your doing ?
A. My mom answered, he is doing farming.

After that Golden words " Your application is approved" which they wanted to here for so long.

This time all I did was more research and correcting the small mistakes done in the past because previously even though my father was retired and mom was a homemaker, I was still showing them as self-sponsored which is too my mind likely to be a reason for rejection. This time I sponsored them and also said my father is taking care of our agriculture land. I also practiced them some common questions to build their confidence.

I like to say people who had multiple rejections, please don't be hopeless and keep trying.

Thanks,
User.
