Please help on rejected visa
I went for my B2 interview on the 28th May 2009, I had all the documents that the visa application - requirement sheet mentioned.
1. invitation letter and passport / visa copies attached of my father and his family
2. company letter granting me the leave and requesting a visa for me (I am working in this company for 9 years now)
3. Company letter with my designation and my salary statements.
4. my bank documents
5. my birth certificate (to indentify my relationship with my father)
6. my residence visa of (Italy) I was living in Italy all my youth life and came back to my country to start work and to live here.

The only documents that the visa officer checked with me were my salary , bank statements and my father's passport details. That was all. What the office told me is "I am sorry you have too many family members in the US"... what an excuse, why would I want to take all this hassle and live in the States when I can easily travel to Italy and live peacefully there (where my friends, my brother and sister-in-law live). My mother spacifically came down to Sri Lanka because I was here otherwise we would have being in Italy even now. If she cheked my residence visa she would have known that I don't have any intentions to live in the US (when I asked her to show it to her she just refused).

I am hoping to re-apply again, can anyone suggest the other documents I need to take. I have asked my father to get a letter from thier state Senator, will this letter help?
 Please help

Interview for obtaining visitor visa
me along with my husband attended the interview on 11th may 2009 at 11.30 am. The interviewing officer was very polite and asked some basic questions and told us that your Visa have been issued. However, just after 2 days my husbands passport was receieved by courier. Since my passport was not receieved we checked the status on line and we understand that my passport has not been handed over to VFS. I hope I will get the same within next 2 days.

Questions were:
what does ur daughter do?
how long has she been in the us?
what company does she work for?
what is ur monthly income?
how many children do you have?
where is ur husband?
where is ur son?
how much does ur husband make in a month?
what is ur son's job?
husband's job?
what is ur job? how long have u been working?

and then, questions for me were:
what level are you in school?
what is ur dream?
what are ur plans after graduating?

and that's it! she told us that we can pay for our passports'delivery.. no documents were asked from us!

dis was on may 6, 2009
