I appeared for L2 dependent visa interview on 10/25. My wife is in L1A, already in US. I answered all the visa interview questions; and when it came to my job role, the VO couldnt understand my roles and responsibilities as I come from pharma field.
She gave me a form and said i will receive an email and I have to follow the instructions on the email. I had received 221g white slip.
Received email by evening asking me to answer a questionnaire, and also submit resume and if there are any publications, research info to be provided. I completed and emailed them all the info on 10/26.
From 10/26, we have been constantly checking for an update until today; we have received early morning an email requesting for my passport to be submitted at the nearest VFS office.
Interview date: 10/25
Docs submitted: 10/26
First update received: 11/28
Status not changed in the ceac website yet.

i went for my interview and the visa officer asked me about my client, job details, my employer then the visa officer went back with my I-797 for 15 minutes. They gave me a yellow slip and told me that they will update me in 4 days. I have got no update till now. They have not asked for any additional documents.

Visa Officer asked for Employer details, my employment duration, masters was course or research, salary and I-129 which I did not have then. I-129 was not one of the documents in the list provided in the visa confirmation.

I assumed this would a routine, H1B change of status, interview. After standard questions about my place of employment, salary.
VO - Did you drop out or miss semesters at your university?
ME - Nope! Would you like to look at my transcript or diploma.
