Medical Exam effect EAD processing times?
Hello oh great wise forum,
I have a PD of July 13, waiting 111 days but who's counting...
On September 14th I received an RFE associated with my I-485 - the medical exam by a civil surgeon (Adjusting Status to Permanent Resident). I was told by my lawyers that this is a separate process from the EAD card and has NO effect on the processing time.

The RFE itself also says that this is part of the I-485 process and does not mention the processing time for the I-765.

I have submitted an expedite request recently and called USCIS to check if it was received. During the call, I was asked if I had received any RFE or Notice of Denial. I told her that I got an RFE for the I-485 process, and she said until I submitted my RFE (aka the medical exam) my processing for the EAD is also halted!!! As in - every day between Sept. 14 till Oct 14 when I got them the exam - DOESN'T COUNT!

My lawyers say it isn't true. The RFE form seems to say different. But the agent I talked to was pretty certain.

What do you think? Is the RFE for Medical Exam something that freezes up the EAD process?

EAD CARD Delay
I got my approval notice for I765 on 9/23/2017 but till now I still didn't receive my EAD card.
My attorney found out my biometrics have still not been linked up with the I-765
application. The supervisor told my attorney she would work on linking up the
biometrics to the approved application and try and get the card into
production but we still don't know when can we get my EAD card.
My on board date is 11/13 and I am really worried if I can't get my card on time.
Also USCIS TRACKING STILL SHOWS THE STATUS when I filed as below:
On June 20, 2017, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by July 20, 2017, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Is anyone can share similar situation with me ? Appreciate your help!

Marriage based C09 MSC/NBC EAD
YESSSS I got the update (today, on a Saturday!) that my EAD card was being produced! Weird thing is that travel document (I-131) case hasn't updated but it should come like a combo card, right? We filed them at the same time.

Filed: June 21
Received: June 28
Biometrics: July 19
National benefits center. Marriage based.
No request for evidence. No service requests.

Honestly I thought I was going to go insane, but i am super relieved that it is finally going to be here soon. Good luck to everyone out there!

EAD renewal processing time.
Good morning guys,

I have been reading about your personal experiences a few months ago on that forum that are very helpful in some ways.

My case is the hopeless one I have ever read on this forum unfortunately.

I already lost hope.

I don't know what to do anymore. Unable to work, drive, pay bills etc. I have a family, I could tell you that I am suffering while struggling with an impossible living life in the U.S. If I am still alive, just because God is good and Almighty. I will keep praying, my only hope.

I'm on C(8) category. My initial EAD expired on June 28/2017.
I did everything by myself since the first EAD filling.

March 28/2017 first SR for EAD renewal, rejected due to an old form filled, they asked me to send the new one back. I sent the old one because there was no way to print the new I765 form without the "don't forget to sign", the red line in the sign field, everytime I print the form it printed out.

2nd SR a few days later with the new form still with the red line "don't forget to sign", I signed below, they accepted it and I received a notice for 180 days interim.

April 14/2017 my status is"My case was received".

Up to 210 days since the first SR and about 196 days from the "My case was received" no change.

I've sent inquiry many times with the answer that it's at the list to be reviewed. A few days ago I went to an immig lawyer for help, he told me there is no way to send something again on my behalf, I just have to wait, so up to here I am waiting.

I've read people told about congressman they contacted for help, I have no idea.

Could you please tell me how and give me a good contact to reach a congressman for any consideration?

Thank you in advance guys.

EAD C03 - STEM EXTENSION
My previous EAD card is expired on August 2nd, I am eligible to work for 180 days on my expired EAD by the rule.

I applied for my STEM OPT EAD on 27th June, It's been more than 120 days my case status haven't changed.
I generated a total of 3 service request but there is no update.

My question is, will be able to travel outside the country if my EAD application is still pending? I do have valid visa, passport, i-20, and employment letter?

Thank you for the sharing on this forum. I wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for this forum. Here is the timeline.

PD: Jun 19
Bio: July 13

Raised first SR on 90th day. no response.
Raised another SR on Oct 3rd, received response the next day - it's under review, a decision will be made shortly.
waited till Oct 19th, talked to congresswoman and she promised to submit a request on my behalf because I have pending job offer. the congresswoman emailed the request on Oct 23rd
I have talked to level 2 officer several times, the answers the same, it's under review, just wait. today I checked online status, it was finally approved.
after reading the experience on this forum and my personal experience, I believe , the average waiting time is 120 days now. guys, be patient, and I think contacting congresswoman would help.

One question, how long does it take before I get the physical card? The online status now is approved.

Thanks!!
