Why some cases take so long
Does anyone know why some cases expedite EAD so fast or within the normal time frame and why some cases take so long, like more than 150 days? I wonder if is the place or the time of the year.

NEED ADVICE, 139 Days and Counting
Hi,

I really need some advice. My papers are still on pending and I have raised multiple SR's but to no avail still nothing. Please reflect on the timeline.

Marriage based work permit I-130, I-485, I-765
PD: July 10
Receipt Notice: July 14
However, I didn't received the notice letters till the end of August because of my address issues. Of 3 receipt notice letter, I did not receive the letter for my I-485. When I did, it was an RFE that was asking for my tax return and the I-130A (new form in replacement of the G325)

On 09/22 USCIS received the Evidence they have requested

10/05 I raised the 2nd SR Request about my work permit. Representative said my I-765 is outside normal processing time.

On 10/05 as well, I have contacted the Office of the Congressman to help me with my case. Until now, they haven't really done anything except that they say "they are working on it"

The delay is probably because of the RFE that has just been received and it has put the count back to Day 1.

I have an Infopass appointment this 10/27. Any advice for my infopass appointment? Anyone else who are in the same situation with me? The update since I put in the application was that they have received the applicatoin. That was it.

I dont have an appointment for Biometrics yet.

FINALLY, CASE STATUS SHOWS NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED
Married to USC (AOS)
Filed I765, i130 and i485
PD- June 19
Biometrics- July 19
Since then online case status for i765 and i485 has remained as “Case was received and your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” respectively. My Attorney keeps telling me to be patient that they are backed up at this time.On October 4 which made day 105, I submitted the online SR which gave an automated response of you will get a reply by Oct 16. From my regular visits to this forum and learning from other people’s experiences here, I got to know the online SR was as good as nothing so I proceeded to make a phone call SR on Oct 13 and the Level 1 officer told me this is day 115, I have submitted a SR for you, gave me a confirmation no to write and told me to expect a response or decision in 30 Days. After the call , I was like wait another 30 days? Again another person’s contribution on this forum made me understand I was actually supposed to ask to speak to a Level 2 officer. On Oct 16, I called again and this time politely insisted I wanted to speak to a Level 2 officer, was told I would get a call back in 70 mins. At about 70 mins, a level 2 officer called me back, the guy sounded nice and he said your case is in line to be reviewed and a decision hasn’t been reached. He further said a decision should be reached in about a week or 2 and I could call back again if it’s still the same old story when I asked him how long it was going to take to make a decision after 117 Days.
Today I reluctantly decided to check the case status online again as I have gotten so used to checking as many times in a day and fed up seeing the same Case was received and Lo, it was like my eyes were tricking me when I saw NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED. I couldn’t believe this new change in status after 120 days.
Now waiting for the production to be completed and the card mailed.
It’s not been easy cos I have run out of patience but this forum really helped me know I wasn’t alone in this long wait and I kept getting enlightened on maybe next steps to take from here.
YOU ALL ROCK !
To all those still waiting, God still works wonders and wish y’all GOD’S speed as you patiently await your good news
120 days.

Ead finally came through
The hell of the wait is finally over

Pd......May 18th (marriage based)
Bio.....June 15th
Raise 2 different SR, contacted congressman with no avail
Sept 11th which was the 116th day spoke with a level 2 officer which gave me a good news that Ead was approved that day later that night case status changed to your name change has been updated when I did not do any name change....Hoping I will see my card in a week or two but nothing came through
Oct 2nd which was the 137th day went to the senator she said uscis may slow down the process when you request for too much enquiry since have contacted the congressman but I didn’t care I told her to go ahead that I needed my card
Oct 5th senator got back to me that uscis said my card has been in production since oct 3rd that I should get it in two weeks but nothing changed on my status......Usually on this forum when your card is in production you should get it in one week I was hopefull and optimistic but nothing came
Oct 16th status changed to your card has been mailed I was so excited knowing well that it’s a priority mail that I should get it within 2-3days
Oct 19th which was the 3rd day my wife went to check the mail immediately the postman came she came back and pranked me with a serious face that it’s not there again...Immediately I was sad and stressed again thinking maybe usps didn’t deliver it or something happened....I picked up the phone to talk to level 2 officer to ask for the tracking to know what’s going on hahahaha wife brought it out
All in all it took 155days for card to be at hand....For everyone waiting for their card it will surely come but the only medication for uscis is to take a chill pill....I know the stress level is high but goodluck to everyone

i765 has been panding over 175 days
Hi all.

Here is my situation.

I've sent all papers in early April
Receipt date: April 24th 2017 (NSC)
Calls: July, August, September
Appointment in local USCIS office in late August - nothing helpful
Online requests: August, September.

Last reply I've got on October 10th - just typical Automated reply and suggestion to wait more 60 days.

Today is 177th day.

On Friday October 13th I've contacted to Senator office, they gave me contacts of local Congressman in my district, I've sent them all necessary papers a couple days ago. And now everything I have just to wait.

My Automated extension will expire on middle of November... And I'm employee...

Just want to share my sad experience in that case...

I've almost lose a hope
