Hello Everyone,
I would like to share my exp with you all.
I am on L2 visa and landed in USA on 6th Feb, 2015.
Timelines:
2/13/2015: Filled I 765 form and paid fees online (same day post the documents to VSC center)
2/20/2015: VSC received my documents
3/13/2015: Gave my Boi-metric
3/24/2015: Changed my address onilne and since then my status wasn't available online
4/17/2015: Asked USCIS to expedite the process (by calling 1-800 number)
4/20/2015: Denied the expedite
4/27/2015: Form Approved and was able to see my status
4/30/2015: Status changed to USCIS mailed the card
5/1/2015: Actual date when USCIS mailed the card
5/4/2015: Card Received!
I called USCIS several time as my status was't visible to me and I wasn't sure whats going on with my I 765 form. But lucky it got approved on time.
I also took appointment with Infopass, but it was waste of time as they just provide the status of your card. They don't take any request to expedite the process.
If you want to expedite the process, do make sure you have supporting documents for it. I tried expediting but they denied without asking for any documents.

I am very frustrated because I am waiting on an EAD to begin an internship that I was offered. I came with a F-1 visa but got married with my longtime girlfriend and applied to change status.
March 9th: Documents for EAD and Green Card received by the USCIS
March 31st: Request for Evidence
April 14th: Biometrics taken
May 6th: Request for Evidence received by USCIS
May 26th: Requested EAD to be expedited. (75 day marker)
When can I expect my EAD to arrive after requesting it to be expedited?
I am having a difficult time with my lawyer because she expressed that the request for evidence required by the USCIS did not stop the EAD request. After reading online everything seems to indicate that it actually does stop the progress. I am very frustrated as I entered with an F-1 status and really worked extremely hard to land a dream internship. The lawyer also mentions that since I submitted my application I cannot apply for CPT because it is a benefit of the F-1 visa and since I applied for permanent residency I am no longer an F-1 student although I am not a permanent resident either. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments that could help me understand what to do or how I can speed up the process (if possible). I have been talking with the employer and so far they have been very understanding but everyone's patience runs out at a certain point.

EAD delaied because due to no spomsor
Hello everyone
Please really im looking for any advice or help regarding my issue
I had married my lovely wife ( she is a US citizen ) and we submitted all aplocation with proper support document only the thing that still not submitted yet os the sponsor ( financial sponsor ) because she's making less than the limit and we finiding really hard time to find other sponsor , and i call USCIS about that and they said if you didnt submit whole support document incloding sponsor document you not gonna get EAD AND YOUR case will be suspended until u send what is required !!!
So i really dont know what to do and i really looking for any help by any way
By the way biometric has been done for more than amonth

Delay in OPT Approval
Feb 27 , 2015 : USCIS received my Employment Authorization Application
After that I received a receipt from USCIS.
It's been 85 days until today and My Application Is not approved yet.
Most of my friends already received their EAD card in hand. But My application has not been approved yet.
May 19 2015: Created one Service Request , May 22 2015 : Created one expedite request regarding my application.
Don't know what to do now. I'm lost. Any Idea pls!!! Any explanation why this is happening ?
After that I received a receipt from USCIS.

EAD Processing TIme
Hi!
I am on L2 Visa and I need to get my EAD asap.
USCIS has received my application last Apr 20 however they made a typo error with my last name so I called them to correct it. After a month I received an email notification that they made the correction and that this is a minor change so there is no impact with my application. My worry is, there is no notice that they are already processing my application. I have also not received any biometrics appointment yet. Should I call them and ask or should I wait. I know it's been only a month but I really need to get a job.

March 23, 2015 = Application was received by USCIS.
I had emailed all documents including the money order. I have registered on the USCIS website to track my case.
The status since March 23 has been static = " The case has been received on March 23, 2015......"
The next week, it will be two months and I have no update about any progress if there is any.
Please suggest what can I do at my personal level ?
We have paid the fee already, can't we report this unaccountable way of working to anyone ?
This way of working is anything but professional.
If the concerned departments is short staffed or over worked, why should we bear the brunt ?
We are the losers at the end of the day as we have paid the fee good three months in advance and cannot apply for jobs.

a positive experience
Let me share my positive experience with the EAD process, I got the card within 1.5 months (I am a J-2 visa holder and this was the first time applying EAD).
March 31: Documents arrived at Vermont Service Center
April 28: Biometrics taken
May 5: Case approved
May 12: Card sent
May 14: Card received

Jan 28th 2015- Received confirmation receipt
Feb 23rd 2015- Biometrics done
No correspondence whatsoever after that.
Upon logging in, the Last Updated date is fixed at Feb 4th. As of today, I have waited 90 days and still no change/progress.
Shall i go ahead and call Customer Care? I m not really sure what I am supposed to quote as the reason for the expedite. Can anyone help me here??
Also has anyone who has applied around my same time received any info? Please share.

Dec. 15th 2014 applied for my EAD
Dec. 24th 2014 received conformation from USCIS that documentshave been received and uscis is reviewing my case
Jan. 13th 2015 biometrcs test was completed
Till March 10th there was no change in the status of my case.
Enquired regarding my case status on the uscis helpline no.
On March 24th received a letter that your enquiry regarding your case status is over and if your case Exceeds 30.days beyond the time specified for processing time for specific application then the case is Considers as "outside of normal processing time" (ONPT),
I waited for 30 more days
On 28th April, 2015 I received an email from uscis stating : request for evidence.... That the processing on my case has been
Suspended and uscis is seeking further evidence.... I will receive a notice by May 28th what additional information is required.
Has anybody who has applied for EAD received this kind of notice? What additional information or evidence they can ask for?
