Response to RFIE
Hello everyone, please please give me insight. I got RFIE for birth. Certificate which i originally sent to uscis before. Now i am sending government letter telling that it is the original birth certificate also with copies of school and college documents. But few friends here say that affidavit is important. What is it? And uscis didnot ask for anything like this in my rfie.

Attorney for filing I485, I765, I131
Hi All,

I got my I140 (EB1C - India) approved last month. My employer does not do concurrent filing. As I am hoping for this category to be current by Oct, I was wondering if I should seek attorney's help for further processing (like filing I485, I765, I131 and preparing all documentation). Any good references ? I am in Chicago.

Thanks.

EB3 India - Got EAD in less than 2 months prior to Biometrics

06/04/2018 - Received applications for I-140 (amendment application due to company name change initially filed as normal and then upgraded later to premium processing), I-485, I-765, I-131
07/09/2018 - I-140 approved
07/30/2018 - Received Biometrics appointment notice
07/25/2018 - Ordered New EAD card
07/31/2018 - Received EAD card
08/02/2018 - I-485 transferred to another office.
08/09/2018 - Biometrics appointment

Normally I have seen EAD is issued after the Biometrics appointment but in my case got EAD before Biometrics. Is this normal?

EB1C India Filling May 2017
My AOS application was filed in May 23, 2017, concurrent I-140 and I-485. My I-140 got approved in April 2018. My I-485 initial interview took place in San Antonio on July 31, 2018. The IO informed that PD is not current. He told that he has approved my case but i need to wait till Oct. 2018 to get the GC. My online status still shows Interview was scheduled.

For anyone from India in simiular situation, have you seen the online status updated? I wonder what should my status get updated and how soon? Is there anyway to find if everything on my case is approved and its just waiting for October 2018 for PD to be current?

EB-1C ROW - Retrogression
Hello All,

My Interview is scheduled for 09/12 in NYC and I just found out that EB-1C ROW is in retrogression.
So I don't think it will become current again in Sep'18 and GC will only be approved in Oct'18.
Some sources say that IO wont have a visa # and the file will be sent back to the service center which in my case is Nebraska. If that's the case, then does anyone have any experience in how long does it take for GC approval once retrogression ends?

Thanks

Jan-Feb17
Hi Guys,

Any estimation how long you guys normally got response back for rfe on 485. This question mostly applies to Jan-Feb 2017 filers (NSC) since we mostly have rfe on our cases. I recently submitted my rfe and trying to figure out how long people are getting final response back after rfe submission. Thanks and best wishes!

Card is in Production
Hello all,
Yesterday, me and my wife had green card interview at Houston's USCIS office.
I am from ROW and in EB-2 category.
PD: August 24th, 2017
I-140 approved on Feb 2nd, 2018
USCIS received I-485, I-131 and I-765 on February 23, 2018.

Received EAD on 15th of May.
Had biometric on 15th of June.
Received RFE on Birth Certificate (first week of June)
Sent the RFE response by mid of June.
Received the interview notice on the first week of July.

And, yesterday, it was the big day. We completed our interview process.
I was asked about my job position, job responsibilities (in detail), how many years in job.
When did I came to US; which school did I go in US ?
The I/O took the latest verification of employment letter, last 2 months pay stubs and
last 2 year W2 and tax return.

He also asked me how I met my wife. Basically, it was all the general questions and normal conversation.
At last, he looked at our I-485 forms and asked questions from there, and all the YES/NO
questions.

He said that my case is under reviewed, and will hear something very soon.
And today, the status was updated to " NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED".

I would like to thank this forum, and all the member out here. Without this forum, I don't think I would have make it. I am still waiting for physical green card.
I would like to wish good luck to everyone who are still waiting . I know this process is time consuming and frustrating, but, in the end, we all will make it.

Thank You.
