AP document of Son
Hi All,

I have got the notification of AP Approval for me, my wife and my son. I have received EAD/AP combo cards for me and my wife yesterday through priority mail but did not get the AP card for my son yet.

Anyone has been in a similar situation? How much longer it may take as there is no combo card for him and it should come through normal USPA mail.

Thanks!

AOS Pending
I recently got my I-140 approved in May 2019 after using premium processing. But my I-1485 is currently pending. It was filed in April 2018 and my PD is current Anyone knows how long it takes to get GC after I-140 approval? And in addition am using the app “Case tracker” to track or predict my cases since. It states on the app I would probably receive it by July 2019. I don’t really know if it’s accurate, however it was accurate for my I-140 and EAD. Any info is appreciated. The wait is so frustrating

EB1C i485 interview experience

First of all, I would like to express my thanks to other contributors in this forum.
It was very much helpful and we would like to share our experience too to help others.

We had our i485 employment based interview recently.

The Interview officer (IO) was very helpful and made us comfortable before the interview.

IO asked us to sign the attorney waiver forms as we did not have our attorneys for the interview.

IO got our passports, ID proof and latest EAD cards and taken photos and fingerprints.
After verifying the details IO basically went through almost all the questions and answers in I485 form.
especially all the residential history of self and family.

Since it is employment based GC, the officer asked high level details about employment and project details.

For my wife, IO verified the marriage certificate and asked about DOB and marriage dates.

For my Son, IO asked few questions such as Name, DOB, parents name, School, distance from home to school etc., IO also noted the SSN and EAD card details as they were not mentioned at the time i485 was filed.

At the end, IO opened the visa bulletin and explained the visa is not available for our country and handed over the interview complete form.

Overall IO was very nice and made us comfortable through out the interview process.

So I wish all the Best for all the people waiting for the interview and it is very easy.

Documents to carry: last 3 months pay stub, 1040, W2.

notice of interview results
Hi all

i had my interview yesterday in fairfax va uscis office,
it took 45 minutes and officer asked me too many questions about my school, status, driving records, tax returns, opt, job requirements, f1's etc.
i was very calm and answered all of his questions,
he took my picture and my fingerprints end of the interview and handout a notice of interview results paper

paper says "you have just completed your interview. USCIS is unable to complete your case at this time, your case is being continued until a final decision can be made, please see below for further explanation."

paper has 5 sections and first one was marked that shows

Your case is being held for review, At this time uscis does not require any further information or document from you.Should further information or documents be required, you will receive a notice in the mail. we may also schedule you for another interview at some point. Otherwise, a final decision will be mailed once your case complete.

is it something to worry about or it is just a standard procedure?
i have two of my friends had interview one was yesterday as well and the other one was monday,
and they did not get any paper, and received updates after 2 hours that shows card being produced.

i am really stressed out right now and idk what do i have to do.

RFE-1485 after interview 2019
Hi, I need some advise please.

My husband and I submitted our paperwork 6/17 and got our interview scheduled 1/19. During the interview we were missing some documentation.

They approved our I130 on spot we were missing some documentation and they gave us an RFE, we then submitted the paperwork they request a month after, way before the set date. its been 4 months 120 days since we submitted the RFE for the I485 nd we haven't got any information we keep calling them and our lawyer has submitted 2 service requests and Nothing.

Has anyone experience something similar? Pleasee this situation is affecting me psychologically.

It's been 2 years mark since we started this process. Yes we know we were missing some paperwork the day of the interview but is this supposed to take this long?

Dallas Office in Irving Texas....

Hopefully final message / timeline
Here is my timeline.

Late Aug 2018: applied for 1-485 under EB-2, ROW (concurrent with I-140 premium)

Early Nov: rec'd EAD card

Early May: case ready to be scheduled for interview

Mid June: interview date in Boston

Day of interview: "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed"

Day after interview: "Case Was Approved"

Please see my prior posts for interview description etc.

Good luck. After having done a lot of research, my advice to folks is to feel free to reach out to your senator and filing writ of mandamus if your case is taking too long. (I did not have to, but was ready to)

EB2 - Case was approved

First of all, thank you each everyone of you for sharing your experiences here, and supporting each other

Here is My time line:

11/10/2018 File I-485, I-131, I-765,
11/15/2018 I-765, I-131 Case Was Received
11/28/2018 I-485 Case Was Received
12/30/2018 Fingerprint Was Completed

End of March 2019 I sent them an official request for expedite my case, because I got an admission for a PhD program, and surprisingly my case updated at April 16, 2019

04/16/2019 Request for Additional Evidence was mailed
04/26/2019 Response to USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received
05/07/2019 Case is Ready to be scheduled for an Interview
05/13/2019 Interview Was Scheduled

We received a mail in about 10 days mentioned that our interview will be on June 18

06/18/2019 Interview Was Completed and My Case Must Be reviewed
06/19/2019 Case Was Approved

Couple of things:

- Interview is a really easy step, don't worry about it.
- My experience and another friend of mine showed that they really consider your special situation, if there is any. My friend's father was sick so he asked them to expedite his process and they did.
I also asked them to expedite my process because of my admission on a PhD program,

So if you think you have a special situation, gather all necessary documents and try to convince them that you need an expedition. They will consider it,

But behave completely professional, your documents should be valid and real, and you have to provide them in a professional manner.

Good Luck my friends,

Be patient

Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed
Any similar interview experiences??

I had my EB-2 (RoW) interview today. Very straightforward and pleasant (only asked a few questions, was familiar with my employer/work, asked for passport/letter from co.).

At the end, he said you're approved and said I should get the card in 2-3 days.

BUT: later in the the day, my case status was updated to "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed".

Very confusing: any similar experiences?

In case useful, I applied late Aug-2018, got my EAD early Nov, and my interview was today.
