How long to interview after Pink Courtesy Letter?
So I got a pink courtesy letter asking me to bring medicals when I get called in for an interview. It was dated May 20th, sent on the 21st, and I received it on the 24th. I was wondering how long does it typically take to schedule an interview after this notice?

My I-485 interview experience
Category: EB2/NIW
I-485 PD: October 17, 2018
Fingerprint: Nov 29, 2018
Interview notice: Apr 4, 2019

We had our interview on May 21, 2019 at the Indianapolis field office. Waited for about 45 minutes, then IO called us. He was a very friendly and nice guy. Took oath, then IO asked for our IDs and took fingerprints and photo of mine then my wife. We were together but the interview was started with me. At first, he asked us if we want to give him any documents. We didn’t submit I-693 before, so we submitted them and he opened the envelopes, checked them and added to our files. Then verified almost all the information provided in the I-485 form. He went page by page and asked for the information – starting from the name to all the way till the end. Few things I would like to mention – he asked me to verify two of my recent addresses and my period of stay in those addresses, with what organizations I was involved in, details about our marriage, and how many people are living in our current address. He made 3 notes on the I-485 form – (i) I was not involved in any organization other than listed in the form, (ii) where our marriage ceremony was held and how many attendees were there, (iii) No one else is living in my apt. He asked me almost all the yes/no questions from the I-485 forms. In the meantime, he asked for my employment verification letter, original birth certificate and affidavits, marriage certificates, and I-94. And finally asked me to sign the I-485 form. Then he asked me - do you want to provide me any other documents? I gave him my google scholar profile and recent publications and reviews. After me, he started my wife’s interview after taking her photo and fingerprint. Her interview was also very similar, verified almost all the information from the I-485 form and verified two latest addresses of her, also made two notes – (i) she was not involved in any organizations other than listed ones, and (ii) Since she was in F2, she never worked in this country. The IO asked for her original birth certificate only. He also wanted to see our photo album, and carefully looked at many photos. Finally, he told us – Congratulations!, I am going to recommend for the approval of your case, and you should expect to receive the card within 2-3 weeks. However, after two days I got a text message saying ‘my card was mailed to me’. One suggestion – take all the original documents that you submitted with your I-485 form and copy of each of them.

EAD denied . Please Help!!!
Hello! Please help me to understand how to proceed in this situation.

My husband applied for AOS Employment based and I applied as his derivative. We also applied for EAD. My I 765 applications was denied (Texas Center) and my husband has not received any notifications about his I765 (NBC). Nevertheless, the letter that I got from USCIS explains as followed:
"A review of your applications and USCIS records did not establish that your spouse, YYYY , is eligible for employment authorization under 8 CFR 274a. 12 (c)(35), which forms the basis for your employment authorizations under the (c)(36) eligibility category. Therefore, you are not eligible for employment authorization as the spouse of a principal beneficiary granted authorization under 8CFR 204.5(p)(1) and 274a.12(c)(35)."
From this, we understand that my husband's I765 will be also denied, and that we made a mistake when we filed the applications and we chose the incorrect eligibility category (A lawyer told as to choose the one mentioned in the letter).
- Does any one know what is the correct category? (My husband applied for I485, Employment based, I 140 approved in November 2018, his H1B expires in July and can’t be renewed because hi has had H1B for 6 years)
- How can we correct the mistake in our applications? Do we have to open a motion or apply again?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Please advise - Working from home and trigger of RFE
My Green card is in last phase - EB2 - June 2, 2009 so 49 days behind current. My job location is changing so I have to move or if allowed can work from home to keep same mailing address. However, in each case I will have to file supplemental J form to show the new work location.

Will working from home trigger an RFE and create issues about job requirement?

Will appreciate your suggestions/ advise.

Hi.

I was very lucky to get inflammations in this site during GC journey.

Here is my brief summary on my case.

July 09, 2018: I-140 Filing with Premium Processing
July 13, 2018: I-140 Approval.
Aug. 01, 2018: I-485/I-485J/I-131/I-765, Sent to lock-box and sent to NBC center
Mar. 08, 2019: Courtesy pink letter for I-693, Medical Exam.
Mar. 14, 2019: EAD/AP card arrived
Apr. 16, 2019: Interview Notice Arrived
May 16, 2019: Interview Completed
May 17, 2019: New Card is Being Produced
May 20, 2019: Case was Approved (I-485/I-485J)
May 22, 2019: Card was Picked-up by USPS (Target Delivery: May. 24)
May 23, 2019: I-485/I-485J Approval Notice Mail Arrival Popped Up in USPS Informed Delivery

The interview was very smooth since I have working VISA and no F1 history.
For IO's query on supporting documents for employment, I submitted EVL and W2/IRS tax script and Pay-stubs.

During the interview, IO updated the I-485 forms with new address and spouse's Alien number / SSN.
IO also double checked the pre-selected questionnaire item with us: military training, previous VISA
and absence of overstay history.

Wish your good lucks !!.

travel outside US
Seeking urgent suggestions.

I have filed for EB1C (India) and recently received my EAD and waiting for the Interview call.
I have H1B visa which is expiring on June 30th, my employer has filed for H1 extension on priority this week.

I need to travel outside US in June returning June 26th.

What is my best bet. shall I take the extension receipt with me to return back to US or create the advance parole document? My attorney says you should be fine with H1B extension receipt but I am doubtful. Kindly suggest
