Hi,
I attended H1B yesterday Unfortunately they gave me 221(g) stating that they require some more details regarding client.
And The VO specifically asked about Original letter from client.
I am afraid whether will I get Visa or not..
these are the details that they require....
1.A sgined leeter from benificiary supervosor at the end client location
2.Timeline,current status,number of employees,and mrketing analusys of the project.
3.Itinerary of the services.
and VO told me to drop it thru VFS box....All, update me how much it will take get my VISA..and what is the procedure...

I would like to share my experience at Chennai Cosulate during December 2 week. Before going there I prepared all the documents like a first time visitor.
Please be available at the consulate gate between 20- 30 minutes. Don't carry cell phone or other electronic devices.
The first check would be releated to DD. Based on that they would provide some receipt which you have to carry to the next counters.
Since I carried H1-B beyond 6 years, the following documents have been asked at the counter for providing a pink slip:
I 797 (h1 B)
I 129
DS 156
DS 157
Web appointment Letter.
and the DD's.
Once that is done you will be asked to go the officer's section. If you are going first time you have to give the finger print first. Left and Right Index finger prints are taken for which you have to make sure your index fingers are clean.
The pink slips would contain a number. Based on the number you will be called to stand in a queue to meet a officer. Please don't lean on the Desk. It's better to wear white or light dresses.
The important thing I noticed is that if you provide all the documents whatever they ask mostly you would given the visa. And you should be honest in your answers. You should answer only to the questions that you are asked. No additional details should be provided unless specifically asked.
Here is the conversation details of me:
M: How are you doing, Sir?
O: Fine. How are you?
M: I am doing fine. Thank you.
O: How long you have been with the company?
M: X years
O: What exactly you do there?
M: My role for the product.
O: Show the Degree Ceritificates
M: Showed original Certificate
O: Show pay slips for the 12 months
M: Provided
O: Show Tax filing Papers for last two years
M: Submitted
O: Are you married?
M: yes/no
That fetched me the visa. So having all the documents plus with the right short answers would help better. If you are going for 6 or 7 th year h1 please take evidence of green card filing status. That's a must.
Most of all you should be confident.

I have attended the H1B interview on 26th Nov at Chennai Consulate and unfortunately I got 221(g) asking for the below documents.
1)A list of all of the petitioner's active projects. Identify the
client and point of contact with the client, including a phone number and
email address for that person. If the contract with the client is held
by third party, provide names and contact information for that party as
well. Do not send a batch of contracts in lieu of this documentary
requirement.
2)A signed letter from the beneficiary's prospective supervisor at the
end client location to which he/she will be assigned, stating the
client's intention to make use of the beneficiary's services and explaining
the nature and duration of the project to which he/she will be
assigned.
3) A detailed and specific description of the internal development
project to which the beneficiary will be assigned. Include a complete
technical description of the project, timeline, current status, number of
employees assigned to it, location of the worksite, and a marketing
analysis for the final product.
4) A complete itinerary of services or engagements specifying the dates
of each service or engagement, the names and addresses of agent, the
names and addresses of the actual employers, and the names and addresses
of the establishment, venues, or locations where the services will be
performed.
And I have posted my experience in this site in November.

reg. Educational evaluation
I am going to chennai consulate next week. is educational evaluation required for stamping not mentioned in the site. i find some mistakes there i don't want show it vo unless its compulsory. I am B.Com. Pgdca with 10 years of exp. will it be ok. Pl give some info.
