My wife had a visa interview on Feb 10th 2017 at the Delhi consulate.
Her interview lasted a minute and her visa was approved.
We were initially considering cancelling the trip but then mustered courage and carried on. Lot smoother than we anticipated.
As long you have all the required documents, no reason to worry.

POE at Abu Dhabi vs USA (Dallas)
Hi All,

I am also travelling in march first week , returning on april 2nd week ...
Despite all ppl around saying dont go , I m confident reading all the forum expereinces of smooth visa approvals and in some cases approvals but little delayed. So i am not planning to cancel the trip.
However i have question regarding passport renewal , my passport is expiring on 21feb 2018 , so i cant renew now (it requires 1 year within expiry date to apply)
So the question is , my company attorney said , stamping and also i94 both or either one can be cut short according to passport expiry date ,, is it true ? even with 3 years of petition I have ?
If it is true, I have 20 days in India before which I have scheduled the interview , Is this inuf of a time to get new passport in Tatkal ?

right time to travel or not
Hello All,
I am planning to travel in March and coming back in April mid.
Is it right time to travel to India with respect to current situations and deportations at POE.
Don't know if are all these are rumors OR is really got deported/detained.
Please share any recent experiences as well.

H1-B VISA @HYD on 9th Feb 2017
I attended the Consular Interview today for H1 interview
My time slot is 11 AM but they allowed me into building around 10.30 AM
Initially basic security checkup ( Few thing watch, Car Key and Jewelry allowed to take in ) , smart watches are not allowed.
Even any sealed cover is not allowed, in my case i was carrying sealed cover which is company financial details. My consultancy gave this sealed cover referring to US consulate, considering all these i went to consulate without opening. But during the security check they ask me to open after going out, for this reason they i did security checkup twice. So don't carry any sealed covers along with your documents.
After security checkup i reached another girl given Know your Rights book and asked to go for Finger print verification
After finishing finger print verification I was given token which indicate which counter i need to for VISA interview
Below are the questions asked for me
1. Are you going to work for YYYY X company ?
2. Are you going to work in NJ?
3. For which client you are going work ?
He didn't even asked me about my petition no further questions
He said, I am keeping your passport for further Administrative purpose.
It looks my visa got approved but i am waiting for end result
Everything was fished with in 30min and i was out from the building by 11 AM
I feel all the US consulate staff is working against TRUMP and issuing visa very easily.
So visit consulate with positive hope then things will be easy
i will write my entire preparation for H1B in another post after i receive positive news from the Consulate

Me : Bachelors of technology in Computer Science stream.
VO : What is your salary in US ?

Then the questions to MY wife.
VO : what is your husband father's occupation ?
My wife : Business.
VO : How many brothers your husband has ?
My wife : 1 elder brother.
VO : where he is ?
My wife : he is in US
VO : Your VISA issued.
I said Thanq and left.
Today I got a mail and message saying that my passport is ready for pick up. And VISA(ceac site) status is ISSUED

My interview scheduled for 11.30 and reached the premises at 11.00 AM and was through security check.
After a long queue, entered the consulate building and waiting for my turn, listening to the others answers & questions and checking my docs.
It was my turn finally and here are the basic questions asked
1.Give me your passports please
2.Who is your petitioner
2.Who is your client
3.What is your US salary
4.What is your highest education
5.Have you ever been to US earlier?
To my Wife

4.Any kids?
Your visa is approved and no documents asked.

H4 VISA 221g Yellow form New Delhi
Hi everyone,
My wife attended Interview on feb 6th and she got a yellow form upon asking about the photos of marriage, as our marriage happened through Arya Samaj Marriage so we dont have ceremony photos but whatever photos were being capturred by our relatives who were present there have been shown to the VO. now in the 221g notice VO asked for photos of phere and hawan etc which we dont have
currently I am in US and I scheduled her appointment, I sent an email to support team by saying that we dont have those pictures but can give you other details like where we travelled flight tickets hotel receipts etc or I can come back for vacation and take those picutres and submit
right now the case is in administrative process as I have submit my query
Please suggest what I should do I can travel in April as I recently came back so please give your feedback and next steps ?
