yesterday was the greatest day in my entire life as i got my visa to go to the greatest country on this earth!!
I had my visa interview at chennai at 9:30 am.I could not sleep the previous night as I was so nervous.i had nightmares thinking of a fat white man shouting at me and rejecting my application.i stayed in presidency club and then took a taxi to the embassy,i arrived at 8:45 am.immediately there was a small queue to go in and i stood there,they checked my documents for sealed envelopes and then let us in after checking our hdfc receipt.you are then led into a small room where nidian people check your file and give you a token number,my photo was not good so i took a foto there itself - cost me rs 100.after around 45 minutes they sent me to another room where token numbers flash and the visa officers sit behind bullet proof screens asking questions - then after 10 minutes i saw my token number and told me to go to counter 16 - a white man was sitting - he was asking some girl questions then i went in.

him - first time in the US?
me - yes sir!
him - what will you do there?
me - i am a web programmer - my speciality is C++ programming
him - show me your resume
him - (looking at it)you have less than 2 years experience,why is it necessary for your company to send you there?
me - sir,I ma working on a project which is underway and as my company is small it will be difficult for them to hire train a newcomer as the deadlines are tight.
him - show me your client letter
me - (gave him)
him - OK,what is your highest degree
me - Master of Comp Appln
him - show me the transcripts
me - (gave him)
him - (he typed something on his computer)show me your Ds-160 form
me - (gave him)
him - (gave me a pamplet) have u read this and understood your rights and obligations?
me - yes sir
him - ok,i am giving you the visa,it will come to you in a week.

he took my passport with him.I came out with my greatest relief in the world and said a small prayer to allah.
thats it friends.i hope everyone else has the same outcome as me.

H1B approved , Chennai , June 10 ,2011, B.E , MBA (Fresher )
Hi,
This site has been very helpful to since I received my H1B approved from USICS and my legs shook timbers.
How did I crack it ?
I went inside, the token number was given post security checks. Once my number popped on the tv I went to the counter mentioned. I give the docs which he or asks They make an entry and File ur docs and give u a new file. Next you will have to go to counter 6 for finger prints , (Its a simple process) .
Once finger print is over you wiill be told to go the next building Where your token num will again pop up and you have to go the counter mentioned .
VO will act weird or may act good . Just tell the person behind the counter what he/she is asking .
Where u gonne work , highest qualification , clients place or in house , Job responsibilty . etc No docs were asked as a supportive proof .
I am fresher going to US ,
Keep it cool dress like a white man , Presentation matters a lot . Neat and sharp looks is def required , I recommend not to wear a suit or a tie in Chennai , Its freaking hot and It will look stupid if u are suffocating yourself in this heat.
Be Cool guys , HDFC slip which remains with you will be useful to collect the passport in 2days time from VFS gopalapuram (If visa is approved).

H4 Visa - New Delhi
My wife attended her H4 visa renewal today at New Delhi. My stamping has expired in 2009. I am non IT. There was a huge line; it took almost 3 hours inside the embassy:
Questions asked:
- Where does husband work?
- What is his designations?
- What does company do?
- Any client?
- How long he is working there?
- How long you are married?
- Is owner of the company Indian?
- What is the name of the owner?
- Where is companies HQ?
No docs were asked or even looked at. I would say a lot of questions for H4 visa.

Granted b2 for parents and h1b for my husband
My parents attended for B2 visa today morning at 9am in hyderabad.they were asked the following questions:
1)how many kids you have?
2)where does your daughter work?
3)where does your daughter live?
4)what do you do?
5)what is your annual salary.
No documents were asked and no questions for mom.
They were granted the visa
And my husband had his appointment today at chennai consulate around 9.30am.He was asked the following questions:
1)what do you do at work?
2)what is your client name and can you spell the name?
3)did you apply for green card?
4)do you have any dependents.
Thats it he was granted the visa.

H1-B visa Approval after first time rejection
My first petition visa was rejected because of
E-V-C model and officer was not satisfied with only client letter ,he needed some agreement between my employer and the client .Finally after 221 g query it was rejected.
Second petition was filed by my vendor itself and same client this time it was direct client and below questions asked in the interview
1) where are you going ?
2) what do you do?
3) client site project?
4) show your client letter
5) show your petition copy filed
6) I need to see the letter your employer provided to USCIS when filing H1
7) any Pay stubs?
8) educational background?
9) what was the reason for rejection for the previous petition can you explain breifly
10)Read you read the white pamplet given ? what does that say?
Finally told visa apporved and will get it in one week
From my experience all your documents should be correct and no worries you will get visa. Do not withold any information. I stated clear reason for my previous rejection too... and provided all documents needed in the intrview

H1B Stamping Experience, Chennai April 13th 2011
Hi all,
I had my successful H1B stamping at Chennai Consulate on April 13th 2011. This was my first H1B stamping. Questions asked to me were as follows
1. Who is your Employer?
2. What are doing in US?
3. Who was your previous employer?
4. Show me your last 3 Paystubs?
5. Show me your 2010 W2?
Client letter or Employer Letter were not asked.
I answered all the questions & gave all the documents she asked. She said my Visa has been approved but we have to do some administrative processing & asked me to go to a different counter. In that counter was an Indian lady & she asked me my resume & passport. She said I do not have to submit anything & if you do not get any response after 8 to 10 weeks contact VFS.
I got my passport after 22 Business days.

2. How long your husband is there in US?
3. How long he is working for sponsoring company?
4.Where did you stay after your marrige?
5. Are u stayed with his family or only with your husband?
