H1B, H4 Visa

By the grace of God i got the visa in just one attempt. i owe a lot to this web site. have been reading the experiences since 4 months. it really helped me. following is the conversation:

Me: Good Afternoon with a smile. DONT FORGET THE SMILE.
VO: Gud afternoon. please pass the folder.
VO: since how long u have been working in ZZZ.
ME: 2 years
VO: Types something.
VO: Tell me what techs u work on.
ME: blah blah blah
VO: what will ur petitioner be paying u?
ME: ZZZ
VO: types again. so u r an MCA and BCA. show me the degrees.
Looks into them for 30 seconds and then returns. types something.
VO: U have an employment proof from ur current company. types something
ME: Gave the experience cert.
VO: Show me ur Badge. showed.

Then the golden words. Ur visa is approved. u will get it in 3 days. I was on cloud nine. showed him a thumbs up and he smiled back.

So guys smile is important, all cases are different, wear formals and be tip top. Last thing its God who gives the visa. keep trying if u fail also.

     Thanks for all who posted their experience in this site.This site helped me a lots in preparation.
      I got married to an Green card holder on feb 2006.He left me within 15 days and reached USA filed for H1B and arranged me an interview.
      I had my interview on October 31 2006 at 9:00AM.
 When my turn came
my interview went on like this

Me:How do u do?
VO:Good.
VO:Asked me my Qualification?
Me:M.E(CSE)
VO:show me your certificate
Me:gave it to her.
VO:Whic company r u working here?
Me:xxxx
VO:How many people r working together?
Me:xxxx
VO:Who is your petitioner?
Me:xxxxx
VO:Are u working for client or to consultant?
Me:I said its an inhouse project.
VO:Even if it is an inhouse project u will be working for a client,who is that client?
Me:I said xyz.
VO:Asked for client letter.
Me:I said i dont have my client letter.
V0:show me ur Tax documents
Me:gave it to her.
VO:she asked for last 2 years documents.
Me:I said my petitioner has given me only last 6 months tax documents.
VO:Show me ur Company lease agreement document.
Me:Said her I dont have.
VO:asked for contract agreement document.
Me:I said I dont have
VO:gave me 221g marked all the documents and told me to drop all the marked documents in VFS Dropbox.
Me:Said thank you and sat their for 10mins
        I was worried a lot sat their for 10 minutes and after sometime I called my husband.My parents and my husband were fully depressed.
            My husband hardly worked in getting all of my documents.
           Me and my parents were in full prayers.
         Finally got all the documents droped in VFS Dropbox on December 15 2006 and got visa on December 23 2006.This day was and is happiest day in my life,this happiness and credit goes to my lovely husband because day and night he worked hard in getting documents,some of the documents petitioner refused even then by Gods grace and due to my husbands efforts I successfully got my visa.
     I saw my husband after 11 months of my marriage in the Boston Airport,saw my lovely husband and was happy and still happy because we have started our new life after 11 months.


  Here are my documents list dropped in VFS Dropbox.Please arrange the documents properly and neatly one by one according to the list marked in 221g.Do not stapler ur documents.

USCIS documents as filed during the H1b.
Contract document bet' candidate and employer.
Copy of tax returns and financial statements 2004 and 2005. (Please
Notarize these documents)
Unemployment wages for All states. (Please Notarize this documents)
Petitioner premises Lease Agreement document. (Please Notarize this
as well)
Notarized list of all the employees.

Client:
Copy of Contract Letter between client and petitioner.
Client Letter stating the project description and technologies
that candidate will be working.
Letter from Human Resource department of the client.
Inside and outside pictures of the client. (20 pictures).

Note: There is no harm in mentioning that the spouse is PR.
For H1b VISA applicants. H1B itself a dual intent VISA.

           I got visa is by Gods grace.
I pray God that the people appearing for an interview should get visa in first attempt.
  Firstly I thank my Husband involving fully in getting my documents.Secondly I thank my Parents.

Hello All. Thanks to everybody who posted their experience. It sure helped me a LOT. However I see that not many people are posting their Successful Experiences.

My Interview was scheduled @ 3pm. But i came out @ 5:30pm. I was the last to get out of the consulate. But my interview lasted only 10 mins and it went like this...

VO: Hi There
ME: Hello
VO: Can i see ur passports (my wife was with me for H4)
VO: You have an existing valid visa and why do you want H1? (I had L1 from my current company)
ME: I am resigning from this company.
VO: Are you going to work at Consultant office or Client site?
ME: Client Site.
VO: Can i see client papers?
ME: "My employer has many clients, but i will be assigned a project once i get there"
VO: Can i see some financial documents?
ME: Gave him the Tax Return Docs.
VO: Calculated something and was checking his computer constantly and then he said "Your Visa is Approved".

What i saw was that people with Genuine Experience and Documents usually get through!
Tips:
Carry all reqd docs and be HONEST.

Anything that does not say Mital brothers, or Compuvision Consulting or www.compuvis.com or www.bascosys.com
They are one of the body shoppers, who don't pay.

If you got a 221g, and you are from Compuvision Consulting , www.compuvis.com, or if you were contacted by any person named bharat mital, vishal mital, Raghu, abrar etc.. then BEWARE guys, just throw away your H1B. You trusted wrong guys.

They don't pay you on bench..
they ask you to sign bonds..
they'll ask you for 5 lakhs
they'll treat you like dogs.
I have suffered, my friends have all suffered.. they spoiled my career..

ANYTHING BEYOND THIS WARNING, you are on your own.

We do a very good job of cheating INS and chennai consulate well enough, that they keep believing us, and issued you a visa right? .. then why won't you join?

Also don't forget. after you come to US, you will meet a lawyer very next day, who will ask you to sign another agreement, for 18 months, including non-compete.

We won't pay you on bench, and if you violate any of these terms, we will sue you.

Tell all of your friends, please to come and join us, and make me and my brother very rich. We will make sure, none of these violations are reported to the Department of Labor.

Our lawyers cheat very well in that aspect.

I have completed my ms in computer science in a reputed US university. I was working on my OPT an d my H1 got approved in oct, right now i am on H1 and want to visit India. I need to get H1 stamped will I have any problem if I get it stamped in Chennai. Someone please answer.
